Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Marella Discovery

This was honestly the worst cruise I’ve ever been on. It was truly awful. I had my two children with me as we couldn’t get away during the summer holidays due to work commitments. This cruise is not family friendly at all. 1. Not once was the climbing wall open 2. The indoor pool bans kids between 2-5pm covering a good part of the hot part of the day. I pay the same amount of money ...

Trapped in a cattle market

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Divina

We chose this cruise because of the places it visited in the western med and we heard it was suitable for kids. It was not...! Things got off to a bad start when we boarded. Staff were fighting among themselves to get their commission on drinks package sales. We went up to the kids club and found out it couldn’t be used for several hours until safety drills and completing a 3 page waiver per ...

Poor, this is the worst company to cruise with

We choose the cruise as the itinerary was great, and thought we'd give Marella a go, we hadn't before. We usually cruise P&O and there is a world of difference, whilst the staff on board are great and helpful, the service and understand of the staff is very poor. The food is very poor, like a pizza hut buffet but being charged £1000+, the dietary requirements aren't catered for and generally ...

Thomson cruise? No way - this was a nightmare

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Marella Discovery

Chose this as the newest ship in the fleet and decided to treat ourselves after 11 years cruising with Thomson. We had heard good things but when we arrived- it was a very different time. The main dining restaurant was a female who was sharp, rude and downright nasty. One evening we had to pay for a meal because once again we were kept waiting until after 9pm for dinner! There were food waiters ...

This was recommended to us as the one, very disappointing .the entertainment was rubbish same turns every night just a video playing and far too loud. The worst cruise ever .the ship is nice but needs a lot to improve .also a lack of toilets only every other floor and the only three per unit causing queues. my wife fell coming out of the theatre and was badly injured ,on contacting reception we ...

We chose "Highlights of the Med" for the itinery and to experience our second "Thomson" cruise. We sailed on TUI Discovery, basically a floating 3/4 star family style , resort hotel ,fully aware (We researched it!!!)we were not sailing on The Thomson Dream!!!We had a great holiday , enjoying ports of call we specifically wanted, cocktails we loved on AI, great food , always great service from ...

Bullied into paying 15% 'service charge', for drinks ; is too much, considering you are charged 48.00 euros each for 'service charge' with the final invoice. This is on top of extortionate prices for drinks - 20.00 euros for a white table wine, plus 15% plus daily 'service charge', or 43.48 euros for a nice-ish white chardonnay, plus 15% plus daily 'service charge'. Water is also included with ...
