This is not our first cruise with Royal Carribean where we have always enjoyed the ships and staff but after our experience on this ship im sorry to say it could be our last. Is Royal Carribean putting quantity before quality in therecruises now?
He food on this cruise was cold and un edible, we had to buy the specialists food packages to ensure a hot meal, well done jamie Olivers and Chops ...
I comment on this cruise knowing that my thoughts are comparable with many other travellers on this trip.
We booked this through cruise1st which also included a pre cruise land tour of Xian and China. The tour proved to be extremely tiring as it was non stop for five days so a poor embarkation was the last thing we wanted. The process was anything but enjoyable due to the massive queues and ...
We wanted a taste of Vietnam and this cruise after returning from London to Hong Kong was a good way to break up the trip to Adelaide.
The good
First of all the ship itself is gorgeous, the cabin was excellent and I had the best night's sleep.
Their care and attention in preventing any outbreaks of norovirus was excellent with being guided to the wash basins outside the main buffet dining ...
Chance to revisit Hong Kong and visit Japan for the first time.
Embarkation very smooth and trouble free, although a lot of walking involved, so those not so mobile may need assistance.
Disembarkation not as smooth - no luggage trollies in baggage reclaim area, had to struggle a bit with cases to find ground transportation.
Ship's décor. and cabin décor. and layout very good. Some ...
We choose this cruise to see some of Japan. Booked via travel agent so flights, pre-cruse stay and transfers included. Embarkation smooth, in fact as we carried our own bags we walked on board within 15 mins of arrival at terminal. Service on board excellent throughout staff from room stewards, dining room waiters & bar staff. Shame in my view that the changes made to ship to accommodate the ...
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (16 & 8). We have taken many, many cruises and have sailed on Royal Caribbean in the past, including a two week cruise from Sydney to the South Pacific the previous year on the Voyager. We selected a Family Junior Suite (Rm #10204) which was the perfect size for us. It was also less expensive then two connecting balcony rooms. A major plus was the ...
We chose this cruise because our friends we sailed with were told it is a fantastic cruise. The cruise started very badly in Singapore. We were informed to be at the ship by 1230 hrs which we were but unfortunately we were still sitting around the boarding area at 1600 hours. Once embarked we found our cabin to be everything we expected. We found most meals to our liking, the staff more than ...
I was excited to do this cruise because it was going to Asia where I’d never been before. I thoroughly enjoyed Singapore and would like to visit again sometime. We arrived on ship and settled in our cabins. Unfortunately I found the cabin quite noisy at night. We could hear the toilets being flushed and people walking in the corridor, this disturbed our sleep.
The dining experience was an ...
When my partner and I cruised the Caribbean on Oasis last year - we were so excited had a great time that we decided to book a second cruise - on the new Ovation of the seas
The ship itself is wonderful. It is large, modern, great decor, casino is well organised, and the two-seventy area is magnificent. They even had a sports bar that’s always open for games - unlike the Oasis.
The onboard ...
The ship is too big. I have sailed about 26 times on Celebrity and 3 times on Royal Caribbean. It took us WAY too long to embark. It was unorganized and mismanaged.
We have a balcony cabin.
First, we always have room service for breakfast. Now they will charge $8, so I guess we have to get dressed, etc. and go to breakfast rather than relaxing in our cabin if you want anything more ...
