Good cruise all in all

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oceania Vista

Nice cruise! Lost two ports due to bad weather. Royal Navy Shipyard and The Azores. First time on Vista. Cabins are not sound proof! We could hear our neighbors loud and clear! Horizons has changed no coffee machines and no food! Also coffee machines continued to be out of order in the concierge lounge! Loved the new Embers restaurant. Staff was excellent! Cabin was very nice had a concierge ...

A millennials love/hate relationship with Oceania.

Let me give you all some background so you understand the perspective we are coming from. My husband I are both millennials and have almost exclusively sailed on the so-called “ultra-luxury” lines, i.e. Regent, Silversea, Crystal and Seabourn as we prefer the small ship experience. Since childhood, my husband had always wanted to take a transatlantic cruise. Thanks to the fact that ships are ...

Oceania Vista as good as it gets!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Oceania Vista

Oceania Vista is a fabulous ship. We've sailed Oceania, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Carnival. Oceania excels in luxurious accommodations, ambiance of ship, quality dining, outstanding service, and cooking classes. Our Cruise Colonial America & Bermuda. One day in Bermuda was cancelled and we did not stop in Norfolk, Va due to sea conditions. We had been on the vista a few months ...

A beautiful ship

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oceania Vista

We chose the Oceania Vista because it was a smaller ship. The staff were so nice, friendly, and accommodating in every way. The rooms were beautiful and the bathrooms were the biggest and nicest we have ever seen on a cruise ship and we have taken about 35 cruises. The food was absolutely delicious! The only problem was the quality of meat at the specialty steakhouse. It was very tough and ...

Prior Princess cruiser for 25 cruises. Last cruise the food was bad. My second on Oceania . The food was excellent overall, especially the beef. Had the lobster several times and it was bad and small, even the supposed whole Maine Lobster in The Polo Grill.sometimes mushy like frozen and poorly defrosted , sometimes just bad taste. Avoid it. I will in the future. Go with The Dover Sole. The ...

A New Ship. Some Hits and Some MIsses

This was our 5th Oceania cruise. Our 4th in the Caribbean. We have previously gone on Marina and Riviera. We have been very happy about the food on Oceania and this cruise did not disappoint although we very much missed having Jacques. The brochures say that Jacques Pepin French specialties are featured in the Grand Dining Room but we did not find that to be the case. We were Diamond level ...

Beautiful ship, inconsistent service, lower value for price paid

Note that we were on two B This was our fourth Oceania cruise, all previous cruises were on the Riviera. The Vista is a beautiful ship, with many quality upgrades from the Riviera. Other reviews have listed details about the staterooms (concierge verandah), public spaces, and dining. We particularly like the new Aquamar Kitchen, and the new Barista Bakery. Compared to Riviera, the crew ...

Ship - very glitzy - perhaps many’s preference. Staff - mainly amazing, especially cabin and restaurant staff. Cruise director - wonderful! Negative comments - Specialty restaurants - save yourselves the bother and go to the Grand Dining Room where the food and service is (usually) top notch. We booked for the Specialty Restaurants on the first day they opened - online - and we managed ...

Not quite luxury, not quite as expensive

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oceania Vista

We recently returned from our eleven-night Caribbean cruise on the Vista. While parts of the cruise were good, there were parts that gave us pause for future Oceania cruises. We are both in our early 60s and have been cruising since 1990, but really picked up our cruising pace in 2010. We’ve been on Celebrity the most but have recently enjoyed Regent and Silversea. We were looking for Oceania ...

This was our 8th Oceania cruise as Oceania has become our favourite line to cruise with over the last number of years. We did a BtoB for 18 days. The ship is beautiful as are the color schemes however certain design modifications from Riviera and Marina were not appreciated. Our cruise was very enjoyable. The islands visited offered many excursions and the ports gave us plenty of duty-free ...
