Great Experience

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

This cruise was chosen for the ports of call in the Baltic and only having 1 sea day. This was my first time with Oceania and I had previously sailed with Azamara. The Marina is twice as big as Azamara but you didn't notice it had 1,200 passengers. The food on the Marina was excellent, including the dinners in the Terrace Cafe (Their options were top notch.). I wished the main dining room ...

Marina in the Baltic a WINNER

This was our 5th Oceania Cruise and 3rd on the Marina so we like it a lot. The staff are excellent, the rooms a generous size, the food is really excellent and we don't go for the entertainment. A nice set of ports, starting in Stockholm. We went 2 days early, not enough for a first visit. Then Helsinki, very nice and then 2 full days in St. Petersburg which was a highlight port. Then Talinn ...

Can't wait to cruise Marina again.

This was our first cruise, so we don't have anything to compare with, but it was such a good experience we can't wait to go again. We don't drink much so didn't bother with a drinks package, and liked that other than alcohol everything else, water, soda, coffee, even mocktails, was included, even the speciality restaurants. All the dining venues were excellent. In the buffet staff did the ...

Oceania Marina - Looking tired. Food and service remains adequate

The ship in general is looking tired and needing a refit. On deck 14, some of the windows were loose due to rust having eaten away most of the fasteners. Decks need some refinishing but the crew were diligent about trying to make it look nice. The food was as expected, good, albeit almost a repeat of the menu on the cruises we did in the winter. Not much imagination, just the same menu for ...

Awesome but Tiring Cruise

Disembarkation was easy at each port, even for those not taking Oceania tours. (Would not recommend using Oceania tours a la carte for St Pete, as each tour would return back to ship through all the traffic.) Heard of no virus outbreaks, & even at the buffet, servers spoon out your food, so no one touches the serving utensils without gloves. You can request your saved bottle of wine in any of ...

Marina Is Showing Its Age (Long In The Tooth)

I agree with another reviewer who pointed out how tired the cabins were. Our carpeting was frayed, there was rust along the door, furniture was scoffed and the pillows were lumpy. The PH cabins have a spacious, lovely walk in closet and the bathroom size is great. The service staff was very good but our Butler was AWOL. Did not cancel specialty reservations when we asked. Did not provide a ...

We are a still working couple (55 and 53 years old) who are just beginning to cruise. The ship had many older travelers but we also found many travelers in mid-50-mid-60s that were active and social. We didn't see too many children or teens on this boat. Except for three straight days of rain in St. Petersburg, there is little to complain about with this cruise or ports. The food was great ...

High Quality Cruise

This was a very nice cruise with excellent staff. The stateroom was fine. The bathroom had a tub with a shower in addition to the typical shoe box size shower. So, that was very good. The food was very good. The best surprise was for dinner, at the buffet (I usually hate buffet dinners), there was a grill section that offered lamb chops, lobster tail, shrimp, steak and other fish. This was ...

Ship: The Ship's crew were very polite and professional. The ship overall was very well maintained and a pleasure to be aboard, no sales pitches or unexpected charges as we have had on other cruise lines. Cabin: Very nice, always cleaned and ready for our return, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, made it hard leave for those morning excursion. Food: So many opportunities to eat ...

Fantastic! Memorable Cruise for 30th Anniversary

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

This was truly a memorable cruise for DH and I, as we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. This was our first cruise without the kids or friends -- just the two of us. It was also the first time DH agreed to take off from work for two weeks at one time. Our previous cruises on RCCI, NCL and Celebrity had all been for no more than 7 nights. We chose this cruise (12 night Windmills & ...
