This was my first cruise with Oceania. It did not start well. I made the reservation and was told all kinds of stuff like how they would coordinate with me on Airline reservations (more in a minute), insurance, and freebees.

Three days in St Petersburg is what drew us to this particular cruise. From the moment we stepped on board, we felt like family.

Cuisine: Exceptional -- particularly in the grand dining room. Used a mix of Canyon ranch and regular choices to keep the calorie count down, but the selection of pastry did me in. Having said that, gained only two pounds. Not bad! Speciality restaurants as expected but Red Ginger was truly over the top for me.

My wife and I enjoyed back-to-back segments on the Marina. The first was in the Baltic; the second was primarily the fjords of Norway. This is our fifth with Oceania, only one on the smaller ships. Love the space and amenities on the big ones. The main selling points are the excellent staff and food and the fact that most things are included in the cost. Love the Country Club Casual dress code [3C] and free style dining. Love the selection of restaurants, none of which cost extra.
