Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Sirena

Oceania Sirena - Miami to Panama City - March 7-17 2024 This was my third cruise with Oceania. The first was the Eastern Mediterranean in 2009, the second was Northern Europe in 2012. I really enjoyed those two cruises; this one, not so much. Based on my experiences on this cruise, it's unlikely I will take a 4th cruise with Oceania. Let's start with the good. The food was excellent. I did ...

Used to be a good line - bye bye Oceania for us

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oceania Vista

Skipped our favorite port ( St Barts ) and one other. Second time this has happened to us with Oceania, and definitely the last. Problems with our suite - too cool day one ( replace units in ceiling ) too hot day two ( replaced units again). Not working day 3 - finally got a capable mechanic who took about 15 seconds to fix the problems. Noise above our heads ( dining area that is NOT open at ...

In January we completed our 21st cruise a 10-day Caribbean cruise was on Vista, Oceania’s newest ship. We were in a B2 balcony stateroom. My wife and I are 77 years old. It was our fourth cruise on Oceania - one on Regatta, one on Insignia, one on Marina and this one on Vista. We also have cruised on many other lines. First for the positives: - The stateroom and bath were fantastic. Lots of ...

Poor costumer service

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oceania Vista

My wife and I are very disappointed by the continue poor service across the ship. A significant portion of the staff don't care or acknowledge you when asking a question. I was shocked. Also, this cruise has no one under 65 years old. Also this new ship, Vista, pollutes terribly with black smoke from the engines. Surprise for a new ship. Food is good, not great. Ship is not structured well, ...

Hard to believe this ship is a new build! It cruises like a bucket!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oceania Vista

(This is the same review I gave directly to the front dest while on board. We have had zero response.) It is extremely hard to believe this ship is a new build in 2023. The movement of the ship once it left the port of Miami was intense as it was each time the ship was moving. The noise in the aft concierge cabin -- sounding much like a washing machine -- was constant for the first two days AND ...

A Geriatric Odyssey

Ah, the joys of cruising - where the seas are salty, and the passengers, well, are seasoned. This particular floating adventure, which I affectionately dubbed "A Floating Nursing Home," was an experience that could make even the most patient person reconsider their life choices. We usually prefer the opulence of Seaborn cruises, but due to some cosmic misalignment of schedules, we found ...

Not enchanting

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Insignia

My sister and I chose this cruise line because we heard so many positive things about it and we liked the Itinerary. We have both cruised with other cruise lines and we heard that Oceania is a step above all these with a higher end service and food. We didn't realize that with a smaller ship you get less entertainment and also less choices for things to do during the day. The people that travel ...

Very Disappointing

We like the smaller boats, 800 guests or less, that cater to people looking for comfortable rooms, good service, fun destinations, and great dining. Many reviews give Oceania high marks in this regard and we to compare them with our regular cruise line of choice. Our room with balcony, although smaller than our norm, was comfortable, well laid out with adequate storage, clean and well ...

A Two star ship from a Two Star cruise line - Oceania Marina

Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

User Avatar

Marina is a 10+ year old ship that looks her age, Decor is dark, halls are dimly lit. You can see signs of rust, large dents on the ships side, and the ship was due for refit in 2022 and then postponed to 2023 and again until 2024. This obviously is due to NCLs tightening the budget. Several crew members complained about issues with kitchen, dishwashers etc that are showing their age. Ship ...

Shortening Port Days and Bad Customer Service Attitudes

Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

We are extensively experienced travelers in our late 60's and chose this 51 night cruise for the itinerary. I should say this is our second experience with an extended cruise on Oceania this year. Our previous cruise on Insignia was spring of 2022 and I did post a review afterwards. We almost cancelled this cruise due to the Insignia experience but were more forgiving due to restart issues. At ...
