We chose this cruise line based on the recommendation of friends, and the particular ship based on sailing date. What we found was that the Marina was designed strictly for tropical sailing, not colder climates. The attraction to this cruise WAS the itinerary - daytime passage through Panama Canal was a highlight and ending in Lima, Peru allowed us to knock off Machu Picchu post cruise (booked it directly through Peru For Less). Would not do this cruise again. Many ports were small towns with not much to see. Several ports canceled. Weather was bad. Food was great and so was the service.

I chose this cruise for my husband and myself to try Oceania Cruises as we usually go on Celebrity and we wanted to go to the Amazon. We will not go on Oceania again!
We met fabulous fellow guests on the cruise. The dining staff and cabin staff were wonderful. The reservation desk and concierge had some of the rudest people I've ever met. You are nickeled and dimed.
