"On the last day of the cruise, paying extra for the Concierge Veranda which was midship was worth it, because the ship’s stabilizers are not very good, or maybe it’s the small size of the ship.Oceania is still a very good cruise line and remains one of my favorites...."Read More

1-10 of 110 Europe - Western Mediterranean Sirena Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise Reviews
So many things were wrong with this cruise!
First and foremost, the reception desk girls were rude. When I asked a question I would mostly get one word answers. Eg. “Do you have a lost and found?” They answered “Here”. I had to prod her for more specific answers. Courtesy such as “How may I help you” or “What are you looking for?” was non-existent. Another time we asked for help to ...
As we did not plan ahead of time a trip to Europe for this year, going on a cruise seemed like a good option and fit the dates for our vacation. This was our first cruise with Oceania
We were dissatisfied with these excursions:
1) Sorrento/ Capri
Too hectic to get to / back from Capri. The tour guide was good. Restaurant for lunch should be included to avoid going around to ...
Our 3rd and final Oceania cruise. Frankly we fail to understand the number of repeat guests. I guess my main quibble is the quality - variable quality - of the food. It's like we are all extras in a restaurant promotion video who have been programmed/coached to play fine-dining guests - whatever the food is like. 'The finest cuisine at sea' is one of Oceania's mottoes. It just ain't. Raw poached ...
Gave 4 stars, because 5 is almost impossible.
I don't understand some of the negative reviews. Oceania has been a great choice, especially for the price when compared with other cruise line offerings. Some people must expect everything to be absolutely perfect, which is really not possible. Complaints about the size of the bathroom? You should have checked the pictures and floor plan before ...
Anyone who comes to this site will naturally look at the overall rating and number of awards received by Oceania and its ships first. Beware: A little bit of investigation will show you that the awards and most of the positive reviews are all from results prior to 2018. Reviews closer to the present tell a less rosy story. Our recent experience with Oceania before and during a Mediterranean cruise ...
Just got back from a 12 day cruise of the Mediterranean. There were 10 of us and my 81 year old mother was with us. She recently was in an accident and walks with a cane/walker. We rented a scooter on board which was helpful. However, I feel the ship, let her down on several occasions, which led to her overall experience being subpar. First, in Venice, there was no one to help her from the dock to ...
Oceania recommended by friends and cruise started in Malta. First time on the line and never again. First the good, we had a suite with a butler and amenities which frankly we used once. The free laundry was a 3 day turn around time. The food - the dining room and "special restaurants" were mediocore. We wound up dining in the buffet after trying the previous and frankly leaving to go to the ...
Have been on many Oceania boats but not since COVID. Definitely have lowered standards. Ports were great except Albania. Supposed to be in Tirana but instead were berthed in Durres. For independent travellers, no bus to Tirana. Durres a big yawn as was Albania. The ship definitely treats passengers who do not choose to use their tours (expensive and slow) as 2nd class citizens. Food not ...
We chose this cruise for the Itinerary. Israel and Egypt had long been on our bucket list,
Tunisia sounded (and was) really interesting, and we had heard wonderful things about Malta.
All in all, the itinerary was all that we could have hoped for.
Unfortunately, there were some significant glitches/ issues/ and problems along the way.
First of all, when we arrived at the Tel Aviv ...
I don’t understand why Oceania is so highly rated on the internet: our ship was old and, in places, falling apart. The tours were mostly terribly organized (but very expensive), the food was hit or miss and the ‘entertainment’ other than Rodrigo at the piano, was subpar. We had a huge fiasco boarding the ship in Haifa because someone at Oceania didn’t realize it’s the sabbath, on Saturday, in ...
