Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Sirena

First off the ages of the passengers average mid-70s. I'm 67 and I feel like I'm on a cruise with my parents! The entertainment targets this geriatric crowd. As a whole the passengers are not the most friendly. The crew is very good. The food is very good, but the availability is quite limited during the day. The excursions need improvement. They are more expensive than other cruise ...

Australia and New Zealand

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Sirena

We chose this cruise because of the destination and our prior cruises with Oceana. While our cabin was good, our cabin attendant was usually no where to be found. The food was a disappointment, especially the 2 upscale restaurants. At the Tuscan Steak our steaks had to be sent back and at The Red Ginger fod was returned and service was lacking. It was a chore to get our wine bottles we had ...

Disappointment on many counts

Having taken three previous excellent cruises with Oceania (on Regatta and Nautica), we jumped at the chance to book a trip to see Australia and New Zealand aboard Sirena, a so-called "sister ship." Little did we know that Sirena is apparently the ugly sister of the bunch. We booked our trip in early February, 2016, and, since our desired Penthouse level was not available, we booked a suite on ...

Tour Management Disappointing

Everything (ship, staff, food, itinerary) was fantastic, just as we've come to expect from Oceania, except for their tour management. The tour write-ups posted on-line based on which we made tour reservations were frequently very different from the description provided in the blue book and onboard and from the contents of the actual tour. We showed one guide what had been posted and he said ...

Excellent food and service but little beyond that.

We chose this cruise because of price, destinations and timing. We have over 50 cruises mostly on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Princess. This was our first on Oceania. We stayed a week in Tahiti at the Intercontinental in an over water bungalow prior to the cruise. Embarkation was flawless and fast. Disembarkation was smooth in Sydney with the exception of taxi availability. It took 1-1/4 ...

We selected this line because of our past pleasant experiences in cruising with them. This is our 5th cruise on Oceania and the only one which has disappointed us. Admittedly it's been a couple of years since we've sailed with them, and perhaps their standards have changed, but most definitely, things have slipped a tad on the Sirena when compared with the other Oceania ships we have ...
