Our 32-day cruise included many planned ports impacted by the war. The result, after our last Mediterranean port, we had ten consecutive sea days on the way to Dubai. The cause of the changes was understandable. That would could not cancel was not understandable. The ticket contract holds with port changes, understandable for operational and weather issues. But massive changes should release ...
Written while still on board. We chose this cruise largely because of the port visit in Morocco. A week before sailing they canceled that port for security reasons and substituted Cadiz. Then after embarkation they did another schedule change, which put us in Santa Cruz, Canary Islands on a Sunday. Unfortunately, this being our longest port visit, from 7 am to 11 pm, there was nothing to do since ...
This was our first time on an Oceania ship. Friends had said they were very good and considered a "higher level" cruise line. Was really looking forward to the trip. We did a 14 day portion of the 77 day trip from LA to Sydney.
The hotels chosen by Oceania for before and after cruise stay in Tokyo and HK were wonderful. However there was a confusion re bus number on embarkation day to take us ...
We decided to add the cruise at the end of a land holiday in Italy and after 3 days in Venice. Check-in was very slow. No food or water was offered on a hot day. Not sure why staggered check-in times were required when all passengers were in the terminal at the same time when check-in opened. Our cabin in the middle of the ship was very nice. Champagne on ice in our cabin was a nice touch. ...
We previously cruised with Holland America, Princess, and Carnaval. We chose this cruise for the interesting ports and for the food experience. We did Oceania tours at every port and were happy with all. They were well organized and very informative. Embarkation was easy, as long as one did the online preparation. We were on board by 11:30 am on embarkation day and had lunch on the Terrace ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We have not cruised on Oceania before, but got the brochure and it had places we wanted to go. This was our first post -covid cruise.
We had bought our cruise just before the Simply More promotions- so wine was not included.
Overall, it was a very nice ship-we had a few issues with the trim in our cabin popping off and problems with the sliding ...
We are a 70+ couple with over 60 cruises under our belt. We did this cruise mainly because of the ‘best food at sea’ Oceania prides itself. Well, we found that this claim is not much more than just advertising. The food was good, but certainly not at the level of a six star ship. We normally do enjoy dinner in the main dining room, but on this ship the menu was very limited and uninspiring. We ...
We have always wanted to go on a Mediterranean cruise as our first trip to Europe. When we were looking online for some ideas we were impressed with the variety of routes that Oceania offers. The cruise line itself was recommended by friends who have cruised Oceania several times. They and we were pleased with the quality of the food (it lived up to my high expectations). Our housekeeping ...
Just read an earlier review of this trip. We were also in Concierge, 9th,midship. Ams1234 is accurate in all areas. I would emphasize our extreme disappointment in the numerous descriptions of the excursions that were changed in the final description provided in the list document. The worst was Santorini, they advised in bold yellow highlighter that all bus tours included a 1/2 mile walk UPHILL not ...
We chose this cruise because we loved the itinerary, and have sailed with Oceania several times in the past. We were in a Concierage level three room on the 9th floor room. This was our fifth cruise with Oceania, and sadly it will be our last. Prior to Covid I would say the cruise line was solidly a five star line, while sometimes they had hiccups the service and food was always outstanding. I ...
