New ship Vista

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Oceania Vista

We have been on Oceania 6-7 times. We like new ships. The vista is beautiful, but, here is what I do not like. The theater, does not angle enough (can’t see the stage as well as other ships). The music at the shows way too loud. They charge for a second line internet!!! Like Oceania is not expensive enough (I hate nickel and dime!!!). Just do tge right thing and give the Wi-Fi to both ...

We selected this itinerary, even though we have been to these ports before, for two reasons: we sailed with two long time friends and wanted to impress them with the Oceania food and lifestyle we had experienced 8 times before....well that didn't work! I personally wanted to experience their new ship since I had sailed on Marina for its first American sailing and started on the prior ...

Great ship but disorganised across the board and no longer the expected Oceania level of service / quality to justify the premium price.

Firstly, the Good Parts The new ship is magnificent (as it should be). - Stateroom was smaller than other cruise lines but modern, light & clean and entirely fit for purpose. - Bathrooms were the best I have experienced on a cruise line. - Room stewards were excellent in all ways. - With one exception, all types / levels of staff were pleasant and efficient. - Disembarkation ...

Beautiful ship with the customer service of a motel that rents rooms by the hour.

All I can say is Don’t Do It. You are better off on Carnival - at least you will not be upset that services is 3* because so are their prices. The customer service on Oceania is pitiful. If you cruise then get used to “No”. Empty tables in the specialty restaurants and you would like to have dinner - No. By the end of the day the pool deck looks like a college spring break party with used ...

Nice Cruise with some work needed on entertainment and some of the food

The cruise was great. Had a penthouse suite and the room was outstanding. Large and inviting. Only room complaint was the AC was turned down as low as it would go and while kind of cool, it was never cold. Otherwise it was perfect. The food in the specialty restaurants and main dining was very good. The issue was there had no food before 6:30 pm when dinner started? How do you have a cruise with ...

Although I have experience with cruising, my review is based purely on observation and not on comparison. We have state balcony room on the concierge level. First and the most striking is a wrongful advertisement as the best cuisine traveling experience/ elegant country style atmosphere . Neither one is correct. There are numerous flows which popped up as soon as you become more ...

Great Ship, Great Food, Great People

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Oceania Vista

I was looking around the internet at Christmas and discovered that the Vista was having their inaugural cruise on May 13th. Watched a few videos about the ship and decided to book. I was a bit concerned about cruising because I read quite a few reviews on cruise critic where passengers were complaining about cruise line cutbacks—especially on food quality. The problem with reviews is ...

We chose the inaugural cruise of Vista when it was added as the timing and the itinerary worked out well. We have sailed previously on Riveria. Vista has been designed very well, for those of you who have been on Riveira and Marina, you will notice the expansive spaces in Barista's and the Library and the changes to the dining areas. The Culinary Teaching Kitchen and Artist Studio has also been ...

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

To begin, it must be stated that I am a world traveler having visited 5 continents extensively by age 27 as a student of culture. However, as a solo traveler who had never done a cruise, the goal was to have a FABULOUS first experience. I wanted to be blown away. Unfortunately, the trip fell short for many reasons, but it was likely better than most people's cruises on less premium lines. To ...

Beautiful Ship but Some Glitches

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Oceania Vista

We chose this cruise because it was a brand new ship and we disembarked in Trieste, which Oceania calls "Venice." Through Oceania we arranged private transportation and an air deviation, and we booked a hotel on our own and stayed three nights in Venice at the end of the cruise. The Vista is a lovely ship with excellent service. ...
