Probably last time

Review for a South America Cruise on Regatta

Having cruised with Oceania before for a total of 63 days on two cruises, we knew what to expect. Small cabins (even the conceriage cabins have only 165 sq ft of living area) and a buffet that is overcrowded probably half the time. That said, we got a really good deal on this cruise (free shore excursions, free gratuities, free WIFI, free drink package) so went ahead and booked. First ...

Outstanding service but disappointing food and shore excursions

This was a spur of the moment decision made 3-months before embarkation. A deeply discounted price and exotic destinations on the Amazon River got us to book. We were not even considering a 2017 cruise. My wife and I have been on 16 cruises, most on Silver Sea and Quark Expeditions--quite a range. We made one prior Oceania cruise on the Insignia that was quite nice, leaving us well disposed ...

Good cruise, but not for the price

We recently completed the 23-day Caribbean and Amazon Rivers cruise on Oceania Regatta. Our overall assessment of the cruise is that it was, in general, a good cruise. However, for the pricing, we were expecting quite a bit more. This cruise, along with other Oceania cruises, prices out at about $500/day for a standard balcony cabin. Regatta is an R-class ship and we have sailed on two other ...

The ship was very nice, it was our first small ship experience. We had a Balcony Stateroom which was the same size as we had on other cruises. The Bathroom and the shower were too small and not very functional. You had to sit on an angle on the toilet, no room to hang towels to dry and the shower a size for kids. The food in general was very good for dinner and lunch in the dining ...

Feb. 25, 2016 My wife and I were excited to be back on an Oceania Cruise Ship. We had been on the Marina four years ago out of Dover and throughly enjoyed everything about it and another ten years ago,. We enjoyed the Marina due to the cooking school and the red Ginger restaurant and the ports. We have been on over 37 cruises on almost all the different cruise lines so we know what to ...

Oceania Ripoffs

Review for a South America Cruise on Regatta

The cruise with Oceania from Lima to Buenos Aires showed what an array of overprices and rip-offs they could envision. As a single traveller, I had to pay the same amount as two people thereby paying double for all my meals - assuming they consider their food to be as exceptional as they advertise (not what I would say), this is an unethical, dishonest charge of $2000 or more. Their hotel ...

Amazon Odyssey This was our fifth Oceania cruise, third on Regatta. The average age of the passengers on this cruise appeared to be a little older than the Oceania norm; this might have been because it was a fairly long one. Things started out rather badly, one of our suitcases was damaged between the dock and it's arrival at our cabin, it also ended badly, at the end of the cruise another of our ...

First and foremost, and this is just luck of the draw, the ship came down with the Norovirus and despite many attempts, I don’t believe they were ever successful in eradicating the virus. This made food service and many other things onboard challenging. I’m not sure if you’ve been on a South American cruise as part of your travels, but from what we learned onboard, if you travel in the direction ...
