1-10 of 57 Oceania Regatta Cruise Reviews for Romantic to the South Pacific
We are avid travellers and have been on numerous cruises including many with Oceania.
Here's an overview of our most recent cruise with Oceania on the ship Regatta.
The food is very good when it comes to your table hot. There were a few times in the dining room when the food was luke warm and we were served food on plates and bowls that were chipped or damaged. The buffet food is hit or ...
We were on the Regatta from Australia to New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa x 2 and French Polynesia. My feedback is as follows:
1. Staff - very friendly and generally eager to please. However, tend to be a number who lack training, so service is variable.
2. Cabins - please don't pretend they are state rooms, it insults the passengers! Generally basic, but good enough, but shower area is tiny. Bigger ...
Overall: This was somewhat disappointing cruise that did not live up to the hype.
Embarkation: A breeze. Easiest boarding ever. No lines, knowledgeable people.
Cabin: We had a B-1 veranda stateroom. The room itself was fine. Flat screen TV, although not much to watch. (You could watch “Titanic” if ship disaster movies are your thing.) Adequate underbed storage for our soft-sided ...
Like several other reviewers, we had sailed with Oceania on 5 occasions before the "pandemic" and rebooked based on those experiences.
This is clearly a company where the dead hand of remote corporate policy wonks is at work, setting procedures and practices on the ships with absolutely no clue of what going on at the operational, customer facing level. Penny pinching ad nauseum.
This was an ...
This is our third cruise with Oceania and they over-delivered again. Here is what went right:
1) Oceania shore excursions on Bora-Bora/Raietea were on point and cost effective. Recommend:
-Vanilla farm/Pearl Farm tour with meal "Tahaa Cultural Experience" (best prices in Tahiti for fresh vanilla beans @ 3800xpf/50grams). Fantastic hula show on same tour with great meal with free rum ...
Pluses
+Very comfortable cabin with plenty of storage room
+Great service (except for IT)
+Food was excellent, even the buffets
+Despite the ship being 25 yrs old it was remodeled well
Negatives
-Extremely slow wi-fi. We were only using it for work related reasons (no streaming, gaming etc.) but it a took long time for emails to pull up or attachments to open.
-We had free ...
Hey there, It took me a while to write this review as I had to calm down and make sure I was in the right frame of mind to write my review. For those of you that are diehard Oceania cruiser’s, sorry but you’re truly missing the boat. I planned my cruise for almost a full year as it was a Bucket list cruise (can never afford to do this Cruise again). Sydney to the South Pacific, wish I could say it ...
We chose this cruise for the ports that we wished to visit. But we ended up having to cancel 3 of the ports due to the corona virus. While we understand the chiefs of the various islands deciding against our ship visiting, there was no offer of compensation for even the port taxes. Also we learned of the cancellations much earlier than was announced by the ship's captain. When we went to ...
First time on Oceania. Picked the cruise for the itinerary. We had been to New Zealand and the South Pacific before and wanted to see a few more islands. Unfortunately, coronavirus concerns by the island governments forced the ship to cancel Mare Island, Samoa, American Samoa and Huahine. No new ports were added, just longer stays in Nomnea and Papeete. Spent a couple extra days at sea, but I ...
I was worried that Oceania would ruin me for all other cruise lines. Oceania was my first luxury cruise. All previous cruises I had been on were main line cruise companies; Carnival, Celebrity, Norwegian, Princess and Royal Caribbean. Well that worry was fruitless. I would tell people I was going on Oceania some would say “Ohhh Oceania”. I thought when the vacation finally got there I would ...
