Disappointing

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Insignia

I chose this cruise because I’ve wanted to do a leaf cruise and we were on Insignia last December 2022/January 2023 (Panama Canal) and it was excellent. We had every expectation that this cruise would be the same. Sadly it was not. Specifically the food in the Grand Dining Room was not good. The menus were terrible and the descriptions lacking or incorrect. I have never had to resort to the always ...

Falls short of the luxury it claims for the wrong reasons

The Oceania Insignia is well refurbished - tasteful and easy to get around on. She came back across the Atlantic through a tropical storm and our group of 8 people all felt safe. The ship was remarkably stable despite the 15 ft waves and 42 mph winds for 24 hours. Yes the cabin is smaller because its a smaller ship and the entertainment is not the same as big liners - however it is still good ...

Decided to try this line after many cruises on Norwegian and others. Stayed in a concierge veranda room on deck 7. The accommodations were so tight as to be uncomfortable. I am 5ft4 and 132 pounds and could barely shower in that tiny stall. Another passenger actually fell out of the shower and hit his head on the toilet and showed up at breakfast with stitches the next morning. The food ranged ...

Ship is beautiful! Food not so good.

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Oceania Vista

Fifth cruise with Oceania. The ship is beautiful. The food was way below average. Most of the Pastries were stale.I ordered Lamb medium and got it close to raw, and tough. Osso Buco Alla Milanese worst I have ever had and was so looking forward to having it. The taramasu and Cream Brulae was awful!, no flavor and under cooked, both runny. I meet several people on the Vista and they all made ...

I am an experienced cruiser of 30 years, 40 or so cruises, mostly Celebrity but also five on Crystal, Regent, Azamara, Cunard, MSC, NCL and Royal. I was in the Owner's Suite and traveling with my mom in the suite, sister in another suite. First Oceania cruise. First, the good. I love the R ships. The size is perfect. You feel like you are on a ship, and not in a hotel that happens to be at ...

Finest Cuisine at Sea?

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Insignia

Oceania brands itself boldly with the claim "Finest Cuisine at Sea" but I did not feel this was the case. It's a shame, since Insignia is a beautiful ship, the crew was amazing, and there were lots of great things about this cruise. But given the premium price compared to strong brands like Holland America, Disney, Celebrity and others, it just wasn't a good value. And for dining, it was often not ...

Oceania is the Worst cruise line ever!

Oceania worst cruise ever! Oceania should stop sending expensive brochures and spend the money on better quality food and staffing ! it was terribly under staffed! Not enough servers in dining areas or lounges. Food , including desserts, were awful! We never saw or heard from the Captain. He never addressed the passengers , through turbulent waters. Our ship was rocking and ...

We chose this 1--day cruise to see the leaves changing along the north Atlantic coast from New York to Canada. This is our fourth cruise with Oceania, but it has been a decade since our first three. ITINERARY: While the sites were beautiful, 4 of the 9 ports of call left us wondering why the ship stopped in those ports as there was little to nothing to see that one could not see from the ...

Never so Relieved to exit from a cruise

We didn't choose this cruise so much as we were forced into it. Back Story: In 2020, we booked Oceania's Scandinavian Baltic cruise. And then COVID-19. We were "assured" that if cruise would be canceled again, we would receive a a refund. Lie Number 1. As COVID-19 began to ease, we sailed on both Celebrity and Viking waiting for Oceania to re-open. Final Straw, we were booked on the August ...

Oceania has become the Amtrak of cruise lines

Liked itinerary and had sailed with Oceania before. Time in Bermuda was cut short. Entertainment was sad. Ocenia has changed since it sold out to big cruise line. I would not travel with them again. I felt like Ocenia nickled and dimed you every time they could. As a fellow cruise guess said: "They have already added a tip to everything and charged you for a Drink ...
