Not the Old Oceania Ships of yesterday

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Insignia

We chose to go on the Insignia because it was our 4th cruise with Oceania which we enjoyed. Location, we live 10 minutes by car from the dock. The cruise line is not what it once was. The crew as usual was very accommodating, but it was obvious that they are very short staffed. One evening in the dining room we were seated and 10 minutes after us 3 tables were seated and ordered there ...

This was our first time on Oceania. We love Bermuda and enjoy smaller ships when they are available. I was so excited to again return to Hamilton and St. George as opposed to the Dockyard. The ship was very nice. The staff all around the ship couldn't be more pleasant, helpful and generally a pleasure to be around. Food in the Grand Dining Room and the buffet was excellent as was the ...

First and Last Cruise on Oceania Insignia

My wife and I chose Oceania Insignia since it was the only ship small enough to dock right in Hamilton and in St George instead of the traditional large ship port of the Royal Naval Dockyard. We also chose Oceania because of the cruise line's reputation as a first-class upscale boutique type of cruise line since we are big fans and repeat cruisers with Celebrity. We were very disappointed from ...

Food was great, excellent maid service and friendly professional wait staff. Lousy wifi connectivity; we had to go to computer area to complete this review. On shore excursions were less than adequate. Cliff Walk and Breakers in Newport was good and allowed for time on your own in Breakers mansion. PEI tour of Coastal Charms was too long -- stopping for 45 minutes at souvenir shop not ...

I chose this cruise because of the ports and food but I was very disappointed in the addition of an additional tender at Sydney and Sydney in general! It is a port that should be taken out! Instead add a day to Quebec City as the time spent there was way too short. It was also hard since the time spent there was cut short. I also think the beverage package is over priced. You should be ...

Extremely poorly run company

Told this USED TO BE a great cruise line. Times have changed tremendously!! Definitely a 3rd rate ship in need of professional leadership at the corporate level. The ship is run as though they going broke!! You pay for two fares for you and your partner, then are told the so called free internet can only be used by one of you at a time??? Or you can pay an additional $270 for the ...

Beautiful updated Insignia

First off, I want to congratulate Oceania on the updated interior of the Insignia, The interior decorators did a fabulous job making the ship brighter and warmer. We had a Concierge verandah and the cabin, though on the small side, was extremely comfortable with a great bed, linens and towels. With the addition of shower doors, the small shower was a non-issue for us. This was our 3rd Oceania ...

Loved the ports of call. Love the size of the ship. We wanted to sail up the eastern seaboard. You feel like you belong to a family when coming on board an Oceania cruise ship. The crew are very helpful and can’t do enough for you. Embarkation was very easy and the ground staff were very friendly and helpful. One criticism is that the cost of the shore excursions are ...

We're in our 60's and have cruised on many lines over the last 40 years. Favorite cruise ship right now would be Celebrity Equinox. We booked Oceania Insignia for its smaller intimate ship size, highly recommended cuisine, and itinerary to Hamilton and St. George Bermuda. We truly miss the ability of the newer mega ships to dock there. They are too large to fit in Hamilton, and much too large to ...

Bermuda Bliss retirement cruise

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Insignia

Worse cruise I have ever been on. Choose Insignia for the 8 day trip to Bermuda to celebrate my husband's retirement, During embarkation the ship does not except *Credit Debit*cards as form of payment for any on board charges. So we had to cancel most of our shore excursions to have credit applied to our room to pay for crew tips. The casino was very small and never had enough staff to ...
