Very disappointed

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Nautica

My partner and I chose this cruise based on Oceania's tag line "Best cuisine in the sea", or words to that effect. Twenty days on the ship and it was downhill from day two. The problem was the food. It was not just us, but practically every other passenger we spoke to, We have cruised on other lines, Cunard, Celebrity, Holland America, Windstar and have never been disappointed with the ...

Beware Oceania. Middle East cruise that was drastically changed. Disappointing, expensive waste of time and money.

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Nautica

Nautica is a beautiful little ship. The crew were wonderful. Unfortunately this didn’t make up for a number of other issues relating to this supposedly upmarket company. 1. The itinerary change was so drastic it didn’t resemble what we booked in any way. Other ships still visited Egypt, Oman and Salalah and these ports were cancelled on our trip. The day we were meant to visit Athens was windy ...

We had sailed on 2 previous Oceania cruises and believed we found a new favorite cruise line. Having been on 7 different lines over the years and multiple cruises, we decided to book our 3rd Oceania on the Nautica which we were on last year traveling Turkey and Greece. We traveled the Holy Land itinerary from Dubai to Barcelona on the same ship and same room. We had booked this tour on board ...

A Luxury Cruise Line That Is Not As Good As Most Premium Cruise Lines

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Insignia

We had not cruised for several years (pandemic and health issues) and were really excited to try a luxury cruise line. All of our previous 20 or so cruises have been with Premium cruise lines. We should have tried a short Oceania cruise before committing to a World Cruise so the fact that we were so disappointed was our fault entirely. On the positive side, the ship size was perfect. We were able ...

Please remember that this is only one person’s opinion and may not reflect your view or the opinions of others. I will be providing a grade for each of the ship’s various services along with an explanation of ...

Chose this cruise for itinerary (good) and reputation (overrated). Oceania's website is very poor which reflected their organisation. We booked Oceania air because of a direct flight, then found the flight was re-directed and when we asked for it to be reverted back to what we had booked were charged $340 each for the "change". We have contacted Oceania by mail and email, also through the ...

Nautica, tired ship lacking soul and direction!

Chose for itinerary, time of year and previous Oceania Experience. Oceania however changed itinerary dropping disembarkation port of Istanbul and day in Ephesus. Added Rhodes, Santorini and disembark in Athens, areas we have previously explored for weeks. Oceania made no attempt to offer compensation for our already privately booked Istanbul expenses such as business class air tickets, 5 nights of ...

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Insignia

First Time Cruiser • Age 90s

My recent cruising of the Insignia, a vessel belonging to Oceania Cruises, was quite disappointing after having enjoyed several cruising trips on various vessels belonging to their sister company, Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The Insignia is quite an old vessel completely refurbished with some sort of lavish splendor in their many sprawling, but almost always empty common areas. This is sadly ...

Holy Land June 10th 2014 - Rechristening Cruise

Review for a Middle East Cruise on Insignia

This is our first time on Oceania. The Insignia has been refurbished and this was her maiden cruise. The rooms are adequate. No frills, standard. The bathroom is very small and they have cleverly used a shower curtain vs a glass shower door to allow a little more space to maneuver in the shower. Ask for softer pillows. Housekeeping will bring them almost immediately The ship is very clean. The ...
