This cruise was influenced by politics from its start. Travel to Cuba was banned, so Oceania substituted other Caribbean islands from the original three-city tour. Then, the coronavirus caused a world-wide panic and pandemic.
Measures were instituted aboard the ship to keep everyone safe by limiting access to food and ensuring sanitizers were used regularly before entering restaurants. ...
We had a great cruise for two weeks in the Caribbean visiting nine beautiful islands. This was our 27th cruise overall on five different lines and our third cruise on Oceania. They are still the best.
The weather was very good 13 out of 14 days. Our next to last day was rough seas and a little difficult for everyone but the Captain & crew did everything they could to make us comfortable. It ...
I have read a few of the recent reviews from guests, but I have to disagree with most. The suite we had was a Penthouse Suite 2 and the environment in our room was perfect. We could control the temperature on our own thermostat and it work well. The tub and shower option was excellent. The staff on this cruise was not the same smiles that we were used to having but the service was still the ...
Electronic Bookings and web site are relatively user friendly for both planning and managing the reservation. We were given dates at which time we could book shore excursions, specialty dining restaurants, and offered other information. On board, the Internet service is slow as on all cruise ships but the fact that passengers can use hand held devices means that for easy access it is best to log ...
As veteran cruisers, we had high expectations for our first cruises (2/4 and 2/14, back to back) on Oceania. Our expectations were exceeded. Outstanding staff, cuisine, and a beautiful ship. We found the food in all venues to be wonderful, from the pool grill to the four upscale speciality restaurants. Totally professional wait staff in all venues. The only negative issues we encountered ...
My TA had been suggesting that I try Oceania as I liked Celebrity. The stars aligned just right and my oldest son and his girl friend got the nod for this trip. So glad I did. Did not want to get off. Just love the smaller ship.
We have had good service on other ships, but this was as good or better than any others.
So nice to not have to pay for fancy coffee, or ice cream, or soft ...
We previously sailed in the Caribbean on Silversea on the Silver Cloud, a smaller and older ship, and wanted to try a larger and newer ship. The experience was outstanding. With 1250 guests, the Riviera didn't feel too big or too crowded to us, is in beautiful condition and was decorated for the holidays. The finishes and furnishings were luxurious, yet not overdone. We loved the variety of ...
This was our first Oceania cruise and it sure was more than my husband and and I expected - it was fantastic. The ship, Riveria, was a nice size, small with lots of amenities. Our concierge suite was small, but offered lots of storage, drawers and shelves.
The speciality restaurants were great, with Jacques being my hands down favorite.
The shows were fun with talented singers and ...
We chose this ship for the size, since we do not like the mega-sized ships. It did not disappoint! Never lines, never felt overly crowded. Everything was wonderful. The decor throughout the ship is lovely. It is elegant, but not stuffy, with plenty of lounges, etc. The casino was a nice size too, although it did not seem that many used it. The staff worked so hard to make our trip special and ...
We have cruise many times with Oceania and have never been disappointed. In fact, whenever we cruise with another line, we can't wait to get back to Oceania. The crew and staff on the Insignia make the trip a most relaxing, care free and enjoyable experience. Service is second to none and you rarely see a crew member without a smile on their face or a pleasant greeting. The cabins are very ...
