I drove in from Michigan and my wife flew into FLL (better flight times than Miami) 24 hours prior to sailing. We stayed at a Fairfield Inn near the Fort Lauderdale airport. This was our first Oceania cruise. We have been cruising for 30 years, mostly Carnival (with kids) and Princess. For our 30th anniversary and retirement celebrations we decided to upgrade. Overall, the experience was worth the upgrade. The ship is beautiful, attention to details often overlooked on a budget cruise was impressive, and the food was fantastic.

Sadly, our first scheduled stop, St. Kitts, was cancelled because we had to drop off a sick passenger in Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic) on the 2nd sea day.
