First Post-Covid Cruise Venture....

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Marina

I drove in from Michigan and my wife flew into FLL (better flight times than Miami) 24 hours prior to sailing. We stayed at a Fairfield Inn near the Fort Lauderdale airport. The location was great, the hotel was ok, the neighborhood was a bit sketchy. The hotel caters to cruise travelers, so it was a pretty happy bunch of guests. The hotel offers a typical "free" breakfast and "free" ground ...

Overall Positive First Oceania Cruise

This was our first Oceania cruise. We have been cruising for 30 years, mostly Carnival (with kids) and Princess. For our 30th anniversary and retirement celebrations we decided to upgrade. Overall, the experience was worth the upgrade. The ship is beautiful, attention to details often overlooked on a budget cruise was impressive, and the food was fantastic. Food: Grand dining room had the ...

Almost, just almost, as nice as Riviera (12/2021), though we didn't get to St. Kitts (sick passenger emergency, yet again!)

Wish I could give this a 4.5 rating overall. We chose this cruise to experience a good variety of the E. Caribbean. Sadly, our first scheduled stop, St. Kitts, was cancelled because we had to drop off a sick passenger in Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic) on the 2nd sea day. Used up about 4 hours trying to use our lifeboat to take him/her to shore. Apparently, the captain didn't want to try to make ...

Our Oceania Riviera cruise was the second one in 2 years and the first being back with Oceania. Without any doubt, this is our favourite ship and cruise line. The Riviera is as beautiful as ever, especially the very well done enlargement of Baristas (deck 14). It has been converted to a high class confiteria style a la Buenos Aires of the 1960’s. It is now a destination rest stop rather ...

This was my third Oceania cruise; Marina 2011, Riviera 2016, and Riviera 2022, and we have a planned Vista in 2023. I enjoy the country-club casual vibe of Oceania -- ship decor, outstanding artwork at every turn, and overall attitude. The crew is exceptional in professional service and friendliness. The food offerings are varied and there is something for everyone, although I was less ...

Heard Oceania was wonderful so friend and I decided to take this cruise. I had done similar cruise in terms of ports on Princess the month before with husband, daughter and 6 year old granddaughter. Speciality restaurants were excellent. Food in dining room for dinner was good but not outstanding. As this is small ship, buffet limited. Casino is tiny. No craps table. Very limited programming on ...

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Riviera

Oceania Riviera Cruise – Caribbean Feb. 4 – Feb. 14, 2020 Why this cruise? Out of our 41 ocean cruises, we had done 8 on Oceania vessels, and greatly enjoyed their small size, excellent food and general high quality of service; as well as good itineraries. Riviera is the same size as Oceana Marina, with 1250 passengers, and about twice the size of the four other ships in their fleet. But we ...

We have had excellent trips on Oceania and were on the Riviera three years ago. We had particularly enjoyed the food and the very excellent service from a dedicated and well trained staff so we eagerly chose Oceania/Riviera again. Unfortunately, Oceania had been bought over by NCL recently and the change in management was very evident. The food was still very good to excellent, the cabin ...

We've traveled on Oceania in the past and wanted to try one of the smaller ships - hence, the Sirena. The ship is lovely, after the recent renovations, but is not for everyone. The cabins are quite nice- the bathroom is not - it's sooo tiny,,,and the shower - well, let's just day it''s a challenge. One wonders why they were not enlarged...The itineraries seem port-intensive, which is a good ...

Oceania Sirena Mayan Mosaic Cruise Jan 25-Feb 1 , 2020 Nice ship, good service, Wonderful food - Itinerary Not Very interesting This cruise, Mayan Mosaic, was a replacement for a Cuba cruise which had to be cancelled because of the travel ban. We decided that we would like to take a winter cruise to take the “edge” off of a Pennsylvania winter. The cabins were particularly affordable ...
