Very Disappointing!

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Sirena

I will start with the positive… the staff was very nice and helpful, and our Veranda Stateroom was comfortable. The first stop on our cruise took us in the opposite direction of our destination (the Panama Canal), to their private island. This was a total waste of time, but no doubt a way for them to squeeze all the money the could out of a captive audience. The island itself was very fake and ...

We chose Oceania because of the reputation for great food and personal service as well as relaxed COVID rules. My wife and I are experienced cruisers (25+ cruises). For this cruise there was the good and the bad . The good: Food at the terrace String quartet Seaside band The bedroom The bed (very comfortable) Ability to bring your own wine Production shows The ...

This is our 14th Oceania cruise. We booked a 15th cruise and I wish we hadn't. 15 is "gold." One of the perks was supposed to be a complimentary massage. I just looked, and it seems they are no longer honoring that. It seems to have disappeared from their web page. Since we were last on the Riviera the prices have been pumped up to the point of painful. A massage is around $225 or more for 50 ...

This was our first Oceania cruise - a 51 day cruise through South America departing Florida on December 18, 2022 and arriving in Santiago, Chile on February 7. Very scenic and interesting itinerary - my wife and I saw and learned a great deal. As context, we have slightly over 400 days of cruising in the past 12 years on various cruise lines including Princess, Holland America, Celebrity and ...

I chose this cruise for my husband and myself to try Oceania Cruises as we usually go on Celebrity and we wanted to go to the Amazon. We will not go on Oceania again! We met fabulous fellow guests on the cruise. The dining staff and cabin staff were wonderful. The reservation desk and concierge had some of the rudest people I've ever met. You are nickeled and dimed. Our cabin was tired and ...

Oceania did not live up to its reputation on this 51 day cruise

Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

We choose this cruise for the itinerary and because we planned to transfer to a Viking expedtion ship to have a closer look at Antarctica. The ship is old and in need of a total do over. Everything was inconsistent on this ship, except for our housekeepers, butler and most of ship staff. The food was sometimes good, sometimes awful. Our room was very large, but the furniture very worn and ...

My husband wanted to see the Caribbean so we booked this cruise. The staff and food onboard were amazing. The excursions were ok. Entertainment was lacking. There was very little to do onboard after 10:00 unless you wanted to sit in the bar. Tried all for speciality restaurants and the food was amazing. The service was a little slow but it gave us time to get to know our table mates. The ...

Great ship, great crew, lousy company

Review for a South America Cruise on Insignia

We booked this cruise for 2021 and it was cancelled, so we rebooked for 2022. A couple of weeks before sailing I found a review on this site from a couple who sailed in July in the very same cabin we had reserved (8023). I must admit I was rather concerned when I read their litany of complaints:- Dirty, wear and tear, aged, A/C not good, shower not good etc. However the cabin was a total contrast ...

Embarkation was a total disaster. We waited in line in a tent in the Miami heat for almost 2 hours so Oceania could check our Covid records. No water was available and only limited seating was available The quality of the food in the Terrace restaurant is not as good as our last Riviera cruise. Service in Toscana was very slow and non-attentive. Staff at the reception desk bordered on ...

This is the first negative review I have ever posted on this site. Our cruise on the Oceania Marina from Miami first week in March 2022 was as rough sea for 3 days on our way to Curacao and coming back to Miami. I discussed this with some employees on the ship. They were told that because there were only less than 400 passengers(normal 1,200 passengers), they did not use the Stabilizers because ...
