Going on a Panama Canal cruise from Miami to Lima Peru was on our bucket list. The itinerary was terrific. The boat is old and needs renovation to to bottom. Unfortunately, we are on this tub again in June from Lisbon to Oslo for 23 days. The scheduled renovations will only touch the Penthouses and common areas, not the balcony staterooms. We chose this cruise for the itinerary, food expectations, and service levels. Not sure they lived up to any of it. While they cannot do anything about the weather (cancelling the Falklands) and uprisings (cancelling Pisco), their complete inability to communicate was unacceptable.

We chose Oceania because of friends recommendations. We have been on over a dozen other cruise ships and this was by far the most disappointing experience.
For a concierge level room compared to similar class on other ships, this was well below average. The concierge lounge was sparse and the appetizers snacks were the same every day.

Marina is a 10+ year old ship that looks her age, Decor is dark, halls are dimly lit. You can see signs of rust, large dents on the ships side, and the ship was due for refit in 2022 and then postponed to 2023 and again until 2024. This obviously is due to NCLs tightening the budget.
