My sister celebrated her 71st Birthday on the ship - the cabin team helped make her day extremely memorable! We were all "over the moon" surprised! Never been on a Cruise line that went to this extent before!!! Well done Oceania!

Weak Ship Excursions and Uninspiring Food

This was our second experience on Oceania, the first being the Riviera in the Med. The ship sponsored shore excursions as noted in previous comments were really limited coach tours of the countryside. One described as an extraordinary rail journey was 5 hours on a couch and an hour on a train retracing the same scenery the coach traveled. There were only about 15 minutes that the train traveled ...

This was our fourth Oceania cruise and we have become accustomed to the high standard of service and food. One disadvantage of going ashore in a tender/life boat is that high waves will keep you onboard. That happened on one stop in Australia. Paid tours were refunded. Another disadvantage of stopping at small ports is the limited resources there to accommodate all passengers who want a ...

We flew from Brisbane and stayed overnight in Auckland NZ. From there it was only a 5 hour flight to Papeete where we stayed at the Intercontinental for 2 nights. It is a nice place but expensive like all French Polynesia. The lagoon which adjoins the normal pool was a pleasant surprise and was a great place to snorkel. It is a short taxi ride (10 - 15 minutes) to the cruise pier behind the ...

I am a fan of Oceania, having travelled on a few of their ships. I find the cruise line perfect for us, not to big just the right amount of quests on board. We found the ship clean, comfortable and the food excellent, the quality and variation excellent, especially Jacques and Red Ginger. One complaint I have is with the lounge chairs around the pool. It never ceases to amaze me how ...

We had a superb trip, nice people aboard. I have mobility issues so we booked the handicap cabin with Balcony . Oceania have only 6 handicap cabins aboard....for that I fault them. On most cruise line you can book a handicap cabin at everylevel, but on Oceania there is not much choice. the service from staff is excellent. Grab bars in all public washrooms. Staff carry your food to your ...

We are in our mid 60's and have sailed 7 times in last 7 years. After 2 cruises on Celebrity Millenium ships we decided to go upscale and try Oceania Marina in 2011. One month prior to sailing, we were offered and accepted a bargain upgrade from concierge to penthouse level. We were hooked and have booked penthouse ever since. First 3 cruises on Marina were excellent. Cruise on Riviera (Miami to ...

To put it in a nutshell before our cruise on Oceania's Marina in the South Pacific, I was vehemently "anti-cruise." No more. At least not a relatively small ship such as the Marina. I'd sail on the Marina again in a flash. I can't think of a thing about which to be critical. We had a concierge veranda room. It was clean and spacious. The stewardess for our room was superb. Our room was ...

Our debut for Oceania and the M/S Marina. Very impressed with the ship and her crew, from overall condition, decor, and attentativeness. The trip itself was spectacular at the begining and the end, while interesting in between (glad we saw it but not worthy of a "do it again"). Stayed in Aukland for a couple of days prior to embarkation seeing the sights of downtown, the west coast with the ...

Retirement Cruise

We booked this cruise almost a year in advance to celebrate our both being retired and now able to travel The cruise itself was, for the most part, wonderful. However, the travel service left us down. The ship and cabin were beautiful. The cabin did need some maintenance such as the grout coming loose in the bathroom. All staff that we came into contact were exceptional, and they are a ...

This was our first cruise. We travelled for more than 30 hours to reach Sydney and then were told that we could not board the ship for 5 more hours. We were exhausted and just wanted to get to our cabin and crash, not spend 4 hours on a bus tour of Sydney. The ship was very good and offered a variety of activities and dining options. The cabin service was also very good and the staff was ...
