"There were a lot less passengers on most excursions so we got personal service and we always felt safe and confident that we would get back to the ship in time.Biggest issue is that there are just 2 American/110 plugs in the room so if you like to charge your phone within reach at night you will have to bring an adapter...."Read More

1-10 of 98 Oceania Marina Cruise Reviews for Gourmet Food to the Eastern Caribbean
We have been on Marina 4 times & once on Sirena. I won’t say there haven’t been issues here & there but I’ve found them to be wonderful, great excursions, great food. We always find plenty of good choices for excursions. Really loved the Italian cooking class we took in Rome. Lots of fun doing the excursions but even when we don’t take one Oceania provides transportation to a good spot in town & ...
Marina is a 10+ year old ship that looks her age, Decor is dark, halls are dimly lit. You can see signs of rust, large dents on the ships side, and the ship was due for refit in 2022 and then postponed to 2023 and again until 2024. This obviously is due to NCLs tightening the budget. Several crew members complained about issues with kitchen, dishwashers etc that are showing their age. Ship ...
This was our first Oceania cruise - a 51 day cruise through South America departing Florida on December 18, 2022 and arriving in Santiago, Chile on February 7. Very scenic and interesting itinerary - my wife and I saw and learned a great deal. As context, we have slightly over 400 days of cruising in the past 12 years on various cruise lines including Princess, Holland America, Celebrity and ...
This itinerary was enticing, down the Amazon River, Brazilian ports, lots of days at sea. Our third Oceania sail, second on Marina, our favorite ship, not too big, not too small, all specialty restaurants included.
Passengers who chose shore excursions sponsored by Oceania were generally disappointed. Brazilians do not categorically learn English; these ports do not get many cruise ships due ...
On december 26, 2022, the captain ran the ship into a sandbar on the amazon river. we lost all power (while i had just put shampoo in my hair in the shower). we also lost all water. we heard nothing from the bridge once emergency (and very limited) power came back on -- but not in our cabin. the ship dropped anchor --- i'm guessing to stop us from drifitng onto the shore or in the paths of ...
I chose this cruise for my husband and myself to try Oceania Cruises as we usually go on Celebrity and we wanted to go to the Amazon. We will not go on Oceania again!
We met fabulous fellow guests on the cruise. The dining staff and cabin staff were wonderful. The reservation desk and concierge had some of the rudest people I've ever met. You are nickeled and dimed.
Our cabin was tired and ...
We choose this cruise for the itinerary and because we planned to transfer to a Viking expedtion ship to have a closer look at Antarctica. The ship is old and in need of a total do over. Everything was inconsistent on this ship, except for our housekeepers, butler and most of ship staff. The food was sometimes good, sometimes awful. Our room was very large, but the furniture very worn and ...
We are extensively experienced travelers in our late 60's and chose this 51 night cruise for the itinerary. I should say this is our second experience with an extended cruise on Oceania this year. Our previous cruise on Insignia was spring of 2022 and I did post a review afterwards. We almost cancelled this cruise due to the Insignia experience but were more forgiving due to restart issues. At ...
My husband wanted to see the Caribbean so we booked this cruise. The staff and food onboard were amazing. The excursions were ok. Entertainment was lacking. There was very little to do onboard after 10:00 unless you wanted to sit in the bar.
Tried all for speciality restaurants and the food was amazing. The service was a little slow but it gave us time to get to know our table mates.
The ...
This was our first Oceania cruise. We have been cruising for 30 years, mostly Carnival (with kids) and Princess. For our 30th anniversary and retirement celebrations we decided to upgrade. Overall, the experience was worth the upgrade. The ship is beautiful, attention to details often overlooked on a budget cruise was impressive, and the food was fantastic.
