Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

We had not been to South America prior to this sailing. Cruise was lovely and relaxing. We went in three days earlier to visit Buenos Aires. Beautiful city and lots of cultural things to do. Some of the smaller ports were very interesting we liked Buzios. I would be nice if the simply more excursion money could be used for additional items like the beverage package. One of our tours was ...

We chose this cruise due to the itinerary, which included 3 days of sailing in Antarctica. This was our first time on Oceania, having cruised many times on Celebrity in the past. We thought that Oceania would be a bit of an upgrade from Celebrity due to the price-point and the smaller ship design. We arrived in Santiago 3 days before the cruise but planned our own time there and did not ...

I signed up for the pre-cruise hotel in Santiago. The Oceania staff at the Intercontinental were very helpful and the bus ride to the port of San Antonio was informative. Check-in went fairly smoothly. The Marina is well maintained and my Deluxe Oceanview Cabin was great. The staff on-board was very friendly, happy and helpful. I ate often at the Grand Dining Room and enjoyed all of my meals ...

This Cruise Should be on Your Bucket List

I give this 4.5 stars but 1/2 stars aren't allowed. First and foremost, the service is excellent in all areas - room service, butler, restaurants - and the ship is clean and kept that way. Our stateroom was a Penthouse Suite and was what I expected in size and amenities. The bed was comfortable. Tub and showers were good sized for a cruise ship. Our suite had a full closet where we could store our ...

Outstanding cruise with Oceania

We chose this itinerary because of its stop in the Falkland Islands and the several days spent scenic cruising in Antarctica, and other stops at the southern tip of South America. It was life-changing. As always Oceania delivered a superior cruise vacation. Oceania has the best food of any cruise line we have traveled with, and the staterooms are very comfortable. All ship staff -- the servers, ...

Wonderful SA and antarctic experience.

Great experience overall. Although we were not aware in advance that they would have experts on board - geologist, naturalist/conservationist, bird expert, photographer, and historian. Having experts on board with educational talks and a scheduled daily session to answer questions was great. Turns out we knew one of the experts, and the boat was quite accommodating to allow us to meet with him in ...

2023 YOLO Trip - Oceania did not disappoint!

The itinerary was our deciding factor for choosing this Cruiseline/Ship. The dates also matched up with when we wanted to be away. Add in that this itinerary knocked a ton of items off our BUCKET LIST: • Crossing the “Tropic of Cancer” • Visit Central America • Transit the Panama Canal • Crossing the “Equator” • Visit South America • Penthouse suite on a Cruise Ship! (Thanks to ...

Being able to visit Antarctica and experience the adventure from the comfort of a luxury ship was fantastic. NCLH (Oceania's parent company) spent years developing this program and assembled a world-class team to interpret what we were seeing so we got the most out of our time there. They offered excellent programs every day and were available for one-on-one conversations throughout the voyage. ...

Amazon Holiday: Brazil, Amazon River

This itinerary was enticing, down the Amazon River, Brazilian ports, lots of days at sea. Our third Oceania sail, second on Marina, our favorite ship, not too big, not too small, all specialty restaurants included. Passengers who chose shore excursions sponsored by Oceania were generally disappointed. Brazilians do not categorically learn English; these ports do not get many cruise ships due ...

After two years of landlocked, it was wonderful to be back on the water We did have a few glitches with paperwork at the Santiago airport, COVID related. A few mandatory ANTIGEN Tests throughout the sail, masks and common sense kept everyone healthy As always, the staff were on their game with holiday decorations and smiles everywhere. At about 25% capacity, we had several fabulous ...
