Apologies for such a long review.
A party of five people travlling all family.
We booked our cruise ( and 1 to come) from our experience going on Regatta 5 years ago, unfortunately due to illness and COVID we have only just managed to get back to cruising !
Our flights were booked with Oceania, our non-stop flight was changed to a stop in Dubai, which was fine, we flew Emirates. All went ...
We were under the impression that Oceania was a step above the rest. Wrong. The very last minute after we had paid for our cruise we were told that we would be late for three ports due to carbon footprint. How ridiculous. If we had known this prior, knowing that we would actually be missing a total of a half day, we would have considered another cruise line. Also, in leu of that, we found out ...
This was our 4'th cruise on the Riviera. We loved the refit(or reimagining, if you wish). The food overall was still excellent. The tea service was a bit nicer than in 2022(more selection)If you do scones at tea ASK for Clotted Cream. Otherwise you get whipped Cream.
I'll do the specialty restaurants first. Jacques was excellent. I advise to try the Sea Bass in Puff Pastry. It's their ...
We were meant to go on this trip in 2022 but Covid got in the way. So we were really looking forward to this cruise. Given the brochures outlined that we were going to experience the finest cuisine on the seas we had very high expectations. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. We would advise anyone thinking of booking a cruise with Oceania don't do it on the basis of their promises ...
I will start with the positive… the staff was very nice and helpful, and our Veranda Stateroom was comfortable.
The first stop on our cruise took us in the opposite direction of our destination (the Panama Canal), to their private island. This was a total waste of time, but no doubt a way for them to squeeze all the money the could out of a captive audience. The island itself was very fake and ...
Chose this cruise for the itinerary of Argentina, Antartica and Chile, but the pretour to iguazzu falls (amazing!!! this is a fantastic pretour. Belmont hotel and our Argentinean guide Sol were a huge surprise - fabulous!) turned out to be a highlight; so consider it!
The ship is due for a retrofit and needs it. Our owners suite was huge and lovely; so no complaints there, but our friends’ ...
The portage through the Panama Canal was amazing and to think it was accomplished before bulldozers and earth movers! It is still a marvel and a tribute to the people that built it.
Sirena is an older and smaller ship. I personally liked the smaller ship since it was so much easier to get around. I am not sure how many passengers were onboard but the only time it was crowded was when there ...
Australia and New Zealand had been on my bucket list forever. I decided to upgrade my cruise experience and take this trip on Oceania. The cruise was a disappointment. It started when we came to board and we’re told we had to vivid test even though we had gotten an email 2 weeks earlier that we did not have to test. Mass confusion for the next three hours. The bathroom in the cabin was tiny. ...
We had not cruised for several years (pandemic and health issues) and were really excited to try a luxury cruise line. All of our previous 20 or so cruises have been with Premium cruise lines. We should have tried a short Oceania cruise before committing to a World Cruise so the fact that we were so disappointed was our fault entirely. On the positive side, the ship size was perfect. We were able ...
I chose this cruise for the itinerary. The experience was 0 stars.
1. Free WIFI was mostly no WIFI, when it was available it was agonizingly slow and kept disconnecting, allowed one device per cabin. IT was totally not interested in solving connection issues. Movies were not updated for 6 months.
2. Brown congealed lettuce was served in the salad bars, hot food not hot, cold food not ...
