Cruised on Oceania a few yeas ago and decided to book with them again. This was a mistake. We had a penthouse suite, it was okey. The mattress was well past its prime. It's a beautiful ship and the service was first rate.
The line advertises the best cuisine at sea. I was not impressed. There are four speciality restaurants: the only one that was outstanding was the Italian restaurant. The ...
This cruise for 20 days had lots of problems. Most importantly, the temperature on board was uncontrolled. The ship was freezing. People wore sweaters everywhere. The polo grill was so cold you couldn't eat in the front area. We were told that the AC is broken and the thermostats don't work. That also includes the cabins. The AC is either on or off with no controls.
the shore excursions were ...
Currently on board Marina on second leg of two from Amsterdam to London-19 days.
This is 4th cruise with Oceania and first post Covid.
Very sad to report, in my opinion, the Oceania of the pass is no longer a float.
We have experienced almost across the board changes in service, food quality and selection and poor attitudes.
Transfers from the hotel in Amsterdam was simply chaotic to ...
We'd been sailing with other lines for a few years and decided to go back to Oceania mainly for the smaller ships. Right from the start it was bad. Didn't get into our stateroom until at least 3:00 p.m. The balcony was so noisy we couldn't use it, the shower so small my husband had to open the door to pick up the soap if he dropped it, the bottom of the shower was filthy and the beds were mush. ...
Have been on many Oceania boats but not since COVID. Definitely have lowered standards. Ports were great except Albania. Supposed to be in Tirana but instead were berthed in Durres. For independent travellers, no bus to Tirana. Durres a big yawn as was Albania. The ship definitely treats passengers who do not choose to use their tours (expensive and slow) as 2nd class citizens. Food not ...
This was my 4th time cruising with Oceania, the 3rd one on Marina. It's a shame this cruise line deteriorated so far, it used to be my favorite. No complaints about the ship itself, it is beautiful, comfortable and not too large. However, since the last time I have been on it (2019, just before the pandemic hit) it went downhill all the way. The food is not the same, for example, the Polo ...
I am sorry to say that in spite of fabulous food, a wonderful cabin and food crew, and amazing staterooms, I would never go on an Oceania Cruise again. The management staff (with the exception of the concierge) as non-existent. The support staff at the desks were not only rude and uncaring, they would not go one step further than absolutely necessary to correct a horrible situation. Things ...
My wife and I were married in December and chose the Oceana Irish Inspirations cruise for our honeymoon, based upon the brochure descriptions. We live near Phoenix Arizona, and Oceana provided all air transportation and transfers to Belfast, Ireland, the port of departure.
We had to pay in full before flights and our cabin was assigned. When we got our flight itinerary, we were not seated ...
We sailed on the Oceania Marina for the Mediterranean Splendors cruise, from Istanbul to Lisbon last month. We selected this cruise line as it was consistently identified in a short-list of luxury cruise lines, and it sailed to destinations we were interested in seeing. We have only been on one other cruise with Crystal Cruises, so our reference point is limited. However, after 12 days on ...
Our first time on Oceania will be our last mostly due to “destination services” because of their unprofessional poor communication, incorrect information and no notification of significant time changes. We booked air with them and paid for upgraded service but when United separated our seats I was left to fend for myself to fix it. Upon in arrival Japan we were told our transfer to ship would ...
