We love the Oceania and booked this cruise (and paid) for Upgraded air fare (economy class). The air arrangement were awful - our tour agent was able to finally get us nonstop coach direct to Turkey. There were 3 couples going on this trip (from the same community) we requested to fly together - reservations for trip made 2 years in advance. They booked the three couple all on different ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary. The fact that the ship was brand new didn’t hurt either. This was our third cruise on Oceania and we first cruised with them on the Baltic Sea on the Marina. We fell in love with the ship and the cruise line. However, since the pandemic, things just aren’t quite the same. We did our air through Oceania for the purpose of if things went wrong, they would take ...
Sailed with a group of 8 on this cruise. While there were issues with port time changes after final payment was made, Oceania's commitment to service and excellent food remains the same. I would have given a 5 star review if there were no port time changes.
We embarked in Istanbul. As usual, Oceania's boarding process was smooth and efficient. On board, our room was ready immediately (we ...
We joined the ship in Istanbul. Embarkation was quick and smooth. Don't expect any kind of welcome in board; no senior staff or welcome drink.
The ship is beautiful and the service and house staff really do a great job. Senior staff are conspicuous by their absence. For a ship of this size you would expect them to be more visible, but they are not.
The food was excellent in all venues. ...
Other than being disappointed by Oceania once again taking two ports off the cruise as we were cruising the trip was amazing! We were supposed to stop in Cyprus and one additional stop in Egypt. VERY disappointed that we didn't. The cruise line told us it was due to weather but we know that over 30 guests missed flights and so the ship stayed another night in Istanbul to save themselves money. I'm ...
Having done 44 cruises throughout the world, we deem ourselves as experienced cruisers though this was our first Oceania cruise experience.
Our first port of call and embarkation was Istanbul - good thing the ship was in dock for two days - we checked in at 8:45 PM on the first day. Needless to say, by the time we checked in, we were exhausted after going thru three airports and the layovers. So ...
Kudos for Oceania for really delivering on the promise of a "no hassle" cruise experience. Aboard Riviera, you dine when you like, embark and disembark without (significant) line-ups (including at ports), and experience a minimum of announcements and hassles. Unlike other ships we have cruised, we were not reminded from about day 3 that we would eventually have to leave; all "administrative ...
We had very high expectations for our first Oceania cruise, although we have cruised before.
We were told we would never cruise another line again and that the food would be like eating in a five star nyc restaurant every night. Both turned out to be false in our case.
We arrived in Istanbul 2 days prior and stayed at the hotel nena which was in the old section of the City. It was a very ...
Our boarding experience in Istanbul was excellent, priority boarding and no delays. The penthouse cabin was clean and extremely comfortable with ample room and a well furnished balcony.Janus our butler was swiftly at our side to introduce himself and accommodated our requests with speed and a smile. During our two back to back cruises he proved to be an exceptional butler and nothing was any ...
Getting on and off the ship was very professionally done. The room was smaller than I thought it would be. I know trick photography is used when taking pictures of the room, but a little more space for the price would be nice. Everything worked well in the room, tv, air, good mattress. No problems with the bathroom, plenty of supplies. The service was the best. 5+ for sure. The cruise ...
