Disappointing

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Marina

We chose this particular cruise because the itinerary included three places we wanted to visit. It was our first experience with Oceania and will be our last. When we signed up or the trip, we were unaware of how Oceania differs from most or all other cruise lines. We have cruised with most of the better known lines, in the Baltic, Alaska, Hawaii, Carribean, Panama, Cuba, Bahamas, and on most ...

Considering the cost of the trip, it was a disappointing rip-off.

We wanted to go on an upscale cruise so we wouldn't be "nickeled and dimed" with everything. Aside from being extremely expensive (with all the add-on's it wound up costing close to $8000 per person and it was definitely NOT worth the price. Let me start at the beginning. We booked a10 day cruise to Turkey and the Greek Islands. Oceania claims that they have the best food of any cruise ...

Poor port selection

Sacred Holy Tour, spent two glorious days in Jerusalem and Bethlehem to return to our ship located in a commercial industrial port for three days and two nights...it was inconvenient, noisey, dirty, and ugly view. Just so Oceania could save a few bucks. This is a luxury cruise ship treating us like cattle. We had trash bin outside our balcony, working port with trucks running all night. ...

This is our first time on Oceania. The Insignia has been refurbished and this was her maiden cruise. The rooms are adequate. No frills, standard. The bathroom is very small and they have cleverly used a shower curtain vs a glass shower door to allow a little more space to maneuver in the shower. Ask for softer pillows. Housekeeping will bring them almost immediately The ship is very clean. The ...

This was a dream of mine to do a 5 star cruise in an exotic port, Istanbul we sailed to Ephesus,Santorini,Rome,Livorno,Monte Carlo,Marseille then Barcelona. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food amazing fresh made to order. The ship was well maintained, immaculately clean. The shows were entertaining, however some of the comedians weren't that funny. The casino was dead,no life in it and ...

My husband and I had booked this cruise because it visited some different places. I particularly wanted to visit Volos because it offered a trip to the Meteora Monasteries in central Greece, which are otherwise hard to reach. So we were more than disappointed when told on boarding the ship that this stop was cancelled. Because of the problems with Superstorm Sandy, the ship was staying an extra ...
