Great ship, great crew, lousy company
"However the cabin was a total contrast to their review, light and airy, clean and pristine, good A/C (in the Amazon a necessity! There are two distinct seasons in the Amazon, dry and wet, low water levels and high water levels...."Read More

We booked this cruise for 2021 and it was cancelled, so we rebooked for 2022. A couple of weeks before sailing I found a review on this site from a couple who sailed in July in the very same cabin we had reserved (8023). I must admit I was rather concerned when I read their litany of complaints:- Dirty, wear and tear, aged, A/C not good, shower not good etc. However the cabin was a total contrast ...

Oceania cruises are great for couples (nothing interesting for children or singles) This cruise was from San Franciso to Santiago Chile, i.e. a 22-day section of a world cruise. In addition to embarkation and debarkation, we visited these ports: Santa Barbara and San Diego in USA; Cabo, Ixtapa, Acapulco and Puerto Chapas in Mexico; Puerto Quetzel in Gautemala, Acajutla in El Salvador; Manta ...

This year, we dumped Viking, after a decade, because of the recent cutbacks to their on-board experience. We were delighted to find none of those annoyances on Insignia. The food is outstanding. We enjoyed trying a lot of "luxury" foods that we don't have at home: oysters Rockefeller; caviar; lobster, escargot, filet mignon, etc. And we enjoyed the wide variety of fresh fruits, especially ...

Amazing Amazon cruise was very good, but not the best Oceania experience

Background: We are veteran cruisers and travelers. This was our 27th cruise, our 7th cruise on Oceania and our first cruise that included ports in Brazil, including a week on the Amazon river. It was our longest cruise to date (22 days). Our primary reasons for cruising on Oceania are their unique itineraries and destinations. Our cruise was re-booked in its entirety right at final payment ...

We chose Oceania for the 12-day cruise between Buenos Aires and Rio (11/07/16 to 11/19/2016) because of the unique itinerary on a relatively small ship (previous cruising experiences were on much smaller boats ranging from under 100 persons to a max of 300). After this trip we decided we prefer the smaller ones. The Insignia is one of Oceania's older ships. We felt the Insignia interior decor ...

We wrote to Oceania with a complaint over two weeks ago. Haven't had even the courtesy of an acknowledgement. Sums them up! Here's what we had to say: Oceania failed to meet our expectations. Put simply, the product quality isn’t adequate for the price paid. Although this was our first time sailing with Oceania, we’re experienced cruisers on Azamara, Silversea and Windstar. Our observations are ...

We had sailed HAL for years, and unfortunately our experiences with food and the ship's conditions were steadily declining. We decided to try Oceania, and that was not without some concern based on the reviews and only 59% of people saying they would sail Oceania again. Our experience was terrific and we are already booked with them again. The cabins are comfortable (and we were in an inside ...
