The wonderful people and natural beauty of indigenous animals, birds, fish, plants, well worth the experience. The Regatta and crew come through every time, it is more like family, though we may be the family members requiring intervention. LOL Captain Hansen, Cruise Director Corey, and our Butler Rahman, were very personable, attentive to the guests, and thoroughly kept everyone updated. As ...

Impressed with First Oceania Cruise

We chose the sailing because it was one of the few offerings going to Manaus on The Amazon River and because Oceania was offering major inducements as they were not full. We ended up with only about 489 passengers, which resulted in a high staff to passenger ratio and generally an uncrowded feel. This was our first experience with Oceania and we were impressed with the overwhelming ...

A Great Cruise Through the Amazon and Caribbean

Our cruise started in Rio on March 7, 2015 and ended 3 weeks later in Miami, visiting Recife, Brazil before entering the Amazon for a week then out to the Caribbean ports of Barbados, Devils Island (part of French Guiana), Barbados, Puerto Rico and Nassau before ending in Miami on March 28. Check-in was slow in Rio as they only allocated one window to the lower categories, while allocating ...

We did a 5 day pre-cruise which included Iguazu falls, and three days at the Windsor Atlantic on the Coca-cabana Beach. Everything was awesome. Iguazu falls trip amazing beyond belief, and hotel had a 90 degree view of the beach, and was right on it--like just across the street! Our fifth time on Regatta. We requested our favorite Butler, and got him. Thanks, Oceania, Bogdon is just ...

We recently traveled to South America on Oceania's Regatta. This is the 4th time we have been on this ship and will travel again on it. We had a P2 and loved the space and the balcony. The couch was a bit bigger for us and we do stay in our room to watch the scenery go by. We had a great Butler Rahman. We didn't ask for anything so he just started bringing us little canapes and they really hit the ...

We are fairly experienced cruisers having been on about a dozen cruises. This trip through the Panama Canal to Lima, Peru was our first cruise on Oceania. This was the best cruise we ever - and last summer we were on the Queen Elizabeth in the Mediterranean. The food was the best we have ever had. We found the ship very well appointed and the staff very hospitable. The excursions were high priced ...

Our group of 3 couples booked this cruise with Oceania which left Rio De Janeiro on March 29, 2014 and ended at Miami on April 19, 2014. For clarifiaction, this was not an Antarctic cruise. The reason we chose this certain cruise was that it included 7 nights on the Amazon River, going up river as far as Manaus, Brazil. The cruise itinerary was absolutely delightful and the Regatta cruise ship was ...

We had a memorable and enjoyable cruise, with only minor irritations. The itinerary was generally excellent, particularly the Rio de Janeiro to Miami segment. Cruising the Amazon River was spectacular, and only could have been done as well in a ship of Regatta's size. The ship's staff was generally excellent. The Cruise Director, Dotty K., was everywhere every day. She saw guests off on ...

We enjoy the smaller ships. Our ship has a maximum of 684 passengers with staff of around 400. Service is exceptional. They keep there staff. We have cruised with them for 10 years and still see some employees from our first cruise. We have stayed in inside staterooms, concierge level and penthouses. It doesn't matter to the staff what level your stateroom is. There food is the best at sea. Almost ...

This was a thoroughly enjoyable cruise. The only problem we encountered was during embarkation when their computers were down. Fortunately, we came toward the end of this as some people had to wait about 2 hours before they could board. We began with a Cruise Critic meeting right after the lifeboat drill and met the people we had planned to join for our privately arranged tours. This was our ...
