Good cruise all in all

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oceania Vista

Nice cruise! Lost two ports due to bad weather. Royal Navy Shipyard and The Azores. First time on Vista. Cabins are not sound proof! We could hear our neighbors loud and clear! Horizons has changed no coffee machines and no food! Also coffee machines continued to be out of order in the concierge lounge! Loved the new Embers restaurant. Staff was excellent! Cabin was very nice had a concierge ...

A millennials love/hate relationship with Oceania.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oceania Vista

Let me give you all some background so you understand the perspective we are coming from. My husband I are both millennials and have almost exclusively sailed on the so-called “ultra-luxury” lines, i.e. Regent, Silversea, Crystal and Seabourn as we prefer the small ship experience. Since childhood, my husband had always wanted to take a transatlantic cruise. Thanks to the fact that ships are ...

Not quite luxury, not quite as expensive

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oceania Vista

We recently returned from our eleven-night Caribbean cruise on the Vista. While parts of the cruise were good, there were parts that gave us pause for future Oceania cruises. We are both in our early 60s and have been cruising since 1990, but really picked up our cruising pace in 2010. We’ve been on Celebrity the most but have recently enjoyed Regent and Silversea. We were looking for Oceania ...

This was our 8th Oceania cruise as Oceania has become our favourite line to cruise with over the last number of years. We did a BtoB for 18 days. The ship is beautiful as are the color schemes however certain design modifications from Riviera and Marina were not appreciated. Our cruise was very enjoyable. The islands visited offered many excursions and the ports gave us plenty of duty-free ...

A very pleasant cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Sirena

The Sirena is one of 4 small ships owned by the upmarket Oceania Cruises. The selling features are its small size, under 700 passengers, no crowds, lines, and children. The officers, staff and crew could not have been nicer. I was impressed by Carson Turner, a super - talented cruise director… a really affable guy who is also a talented singer and performer. Actually, the entire ...

Mostly Met Expectations

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Insignia

4 1/2 stars. We were a couple with a B2 balcony on the E Caribbean cruise and had sailed on sister ship Regatta in Fr Polynesia roughly a year earlier (recommended). I think the 'overview' description of both ships as being smaller and therefore 'quieter' with fewer activities is really useful for first-timers to understand. It's true that the passenger profile skews older but we met (and met ...

What has happened to Oceania?

Review for a South America Cruise on Sirena

Oceania has always been my favorite cruise line. The last two cruises have changed my mind. I traveled on Insignia in August and Sirena in November. On both cruises I missed what I had become accustomed to on Oceania which was tremendous food, attentive service and kindness/concern from the officers and staff. What I saw recently are over stressed workers who are stretched very thin, a decline in ...

We chose this cruise as we enjoyed a Translantic 10 year ago, and wanted to see Ireland, Newfoundland, and Saint Pierre. The ship was beautiful. Food still as good as always (except was disappointed with Embers, wish they change it to Jaques), Service was excellent with the room stewards, however in the food venues it was slow responses. Ports of call were well received and tours were ...

A Lovely Ship But

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oceania Vista

Southampton to New York via France, Ireland plus the Canadian and American Atlantic Seaboard. This cruise went to many places we had not visited before. Unfortunately due to hurricane Lee we missed 3 of the ports of call. Vista is a big ship with about 1250 passengers and the accommodation was excellent. The restaurants also provided high quality cuisine except the Ember Restaurant which was a ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Oceania Vista

We have been on Oceania 6-7 times. We like new ships. The vista is beautiful, but, here is what I do not like. The theater, does not angle enough (can’t see the stage as well as other ships). The music at the shows way too loud. They charge for a second line internet!!! Like Oceania is not expensive enough (I hate nickel and dime!!!). Just do tge right thing and give the Wi-Fi to both ...
