Overall loved the ship. Really elegant. Though similar to Riviera/Marina, there ARE differences. No Jacques. Now its Ember. no hallway to the back of the ship. its now part of Ember. The Grand Lounge is much more elegant than before with gorgeous hand made crystal scattered about. Furniture is upgraded throughout the ship. Pool area is expanded with the slash over area increased in size. There are ...
This was our 90th cruise with 14 being on Oceania. We had effectively a back to back cruise. I have never encountered such an old age structure with so many vacant and bewilded passengers with their mobility scooters and strollers. Many passengers were coughing and sneezing making sure they shared it with everyone. How in this day and age is it acceptable to blow your nose on a napkin and leave it ...
We have been cruising for 30+ years on many lines. We have been on several Oceania cruises. Love Marina/Riviera size ships. Not a fan of smaller R ships. We were eager to see Vista. It is very similar in layout to Marina/Riviera. Embarkation was very quick. Had a problem with my key card immediately upon entering the ship. Was not happy to have to visit reception to get it activated. Next ...
Oceania Vista January 2024
Having been lucky enough to sail three times on Silversea ships, and once on Seabourn during 2023, we tried Oceania Vista in January 2024. This is a review of our latest cruise plus a brief comparison.
We boarded Vista at Miami, terminal B instead of the usual terminal J due to strong winds, making it unsafe to use the usual terminal. We took an Uber from our hotel ...
In January we completed our 21st cruise a 10-day Caribbean cruise was on Vista, Oceania’s newest ship. We were in a B2 balcony stateroom. My wife and I are 77 years old. It was our fourth cruise on Oceania - one on Regatta, one on Insignia, one on Marina and this one on Vista. We also have cruised on many other lines.
First for the positives:
- The stateroom and bath were fantastic. Lots of ...
Great experience. Suite superb. Deck 10 mid ship our favorite location. Very quiet and stable. Spacious, spotless, beautifully appointed including marvellous towels, bed linens, bathroom amenities, and of course the ultra comfortable bed.
Rohit our Butler charming, efficient and professional. Couldn’t do enough for us. Anything we requested met with “of course, don’t worry, I will do it “. ...
My wife and I spent 10 days on Vista in January 2024. We are in our 70s and have done about 30 cruises on different cruise lines. This was our fourth with Oceania.
The ship: Magnificent and very passenger friendly. Great layout and the interior designer excelled creating elegance and charm with great choice of colors and materials. Our state room was beautiful with a lovely balcony and adequate ...
We've been on 20+ cruises and never gave much thought to the environmental impact (our bad) , but on the first day of sailing on Vista we had soot balls (from the exhaust) all over our expensive veranda, making it all but unusable. This continued through the 10-day cruise. We even had to close the veranda door to avoid exhaust coming into our room. We were deck 7 aft, but heard similar complaints ...
After some time in Panama City and a slow trip back home, our bags are unpacked and I am now provide this very subjective, but hopefully balance, review. Overall, we had an excellent cruise with good to excellent food and service. By way of background, we have only sailed on Oceania and this was our 6th cruise with them.
Embarkation
We had registered for a 12:30 boarding time but found ...
The Sirena is one of 4 small ships owned by the upmarket Oceania Cruises. The selling features are its small size, under 700 passengers, no crowds, lines, and children.
The officers, staff and crew could not have been nicer.
I was impressed by Carson Turner, a super - talented cruise director… a really affable guy who is also a talented singer and performer. Actually, the entire ...
