Our party of four sailed on Oceania's Nautica in May 2019, leaving Barcelona onto Lisboa, with a southern dip to the Canary Islands. Spent additional four days in Lisboa and the surrounding area. The cruise itinerary was terrific, the main reason we chose.

We chose the cruise for the itinerary and the rave reviews on the food aboard ship
The buffet restaurant was always overcrowded and offered limited selection

I chose this cruise for the itinerary. Cruising the North Sea was wonderful and those countries are wonderful. It was a busy cruise with only one sea day. The food which the Cruise Line constantly talks about was good but still cruise food. The ship was nice, newer, and well maintained. The cruise was boring. There was really nothing to do during off times. Drinks were ridiculously expensive.

We sailed on the Insignia for a 23 day cruise from Montreal to Southampton. Although the ship was said to be recently refurbished, much of it still needed to be updated. The TV in our stateroom was small and the picture was awful. The stateroom was average and much like any other balcony stateroom on an older ship. However, the bed was great.

13 days into a dream itinerary and we've missed two ports where we had booked especially interesting shore excursions (now missed) and had an extra sea day.
We're now sitting in the port we weren't supposed to reach 'til tomorrow. And, to add grist to the mill we arrived at 3:00pm (when we could have arrived much earlier) and the stores close at 5:00pm.

We've been regular cruisers on Crystal but decided to give Oceania a try because many people told us it was equivalent, and with better food.
The food was perhaps a tad better but everything else was much worse. Especially the (lack of) quality on-board entertainment. The Master of Ceremonies was okay but the dancers/singers and other acts were way below Crystal's standards.
