2-5 Cruises

We enjoyed Oceania on past cruises, especially the specialty restaurants, the smaller ship sizes and the service. Other cruise lines are cheaper, but the crowds are larger and the food is not as good as Oceania. Our cruise was 19 days and covered a number of ports we had previously been to, but we wished to visit Turkey, Israel and Cyprus. Embarkation at Port Piraeus, Athens ran smoothly. It ...

10+ Cruises

Age 70s

The cruise had a fabulous itinerary and we chose it for that. We were not disappointed. The cruise was amazing and the ports were phenomenal. Everything was interesting and easily explored. Sometimes we had to travel a distance from port to the points of interest but that is often to be expected with a cruise. We could not have been more pleased with the choice of ports. We arranged for ...

The cruise was generally excellent mainly because of the the variety of food, the service, the gym and running track, and the itinerary. I will not go into detail on those factors because you can read about them in numerous other reviews. Instead, I will discuss a few deficiencies aboard Nautica and suggest some ways to overcome them so that they will not interfere with your enjoyment of the ...

Oceania is a fantastic cruise line, up there with the best. The crew were second to none and the food is of course exemplary. We never had a problem finding sun loungers (despite many shaded sunloungers being reserved every day) and there were many day beds available at all times too. The show lounge is called the Sirena lounge and it is more akin to a bar/lounge rather than the more typical ...

We chose this cruise primarily by the ports of call and the reviews re the onboard food. We struggled after booking with understanding the extra costs-primarily alcohol, very expensive, and gratuity on the alcohol (18%) The “extras” on our room were $16 per day each which we were told we could change without problem by visiting reception; I had researched about this beforehand. We had ...

6-10 Cruises

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the amenities. The passenger age definitely skews to the over 60 crowd. The food was among the best we have ever had on a cruise ship. The specialty restaurants offered a good variety of dishes. The Italian and French restaurants were the better of the 4. As New Yorkers, we have no shortage of good steakhouses or Asian restaurants so ...

My wife and I are experienced cruisers (over 40 cruises) and Oceania in particular (over 15 cruises). I will start out by saying we love Oceania and have 4 more cruises on them currently booked. I will not comment on my last cruise since the ports are well covered elsewhere. Rather I will comment on Oceania in general. I am always confused by people who are not happy with an Oceania cruise ...

Chose cruise to see western Mediterranean ports. This cruise visited six. Food was fantastic, shows very good, internet poor, staff wonderful, excursions very good. Regrets that unable to enjoy ship more as we had excursions in every port. If they solve thier Internet issues, it would have received 5 stars. We had requested no coke drinks, instead diet Sprite or diet 7up or ginger ale ...

Wanted to do a cruise going to Italy. Fabulous food, ship and crew. They couldn't have been more helpful and courteous. So easy boarding, Nice cabin, only thing is they should have made the tub a walk in shower. Shower VERY small. How many people sit in a tub on a cruise? Entertainment could have been better. Liked the fact that some of the bars had happy hours, and bartenders where quite ...

Oceania lives up to its reputation for being one of the best. As a new cruise ship passenger, I would suggest more instruction on the initial embarkation. I am new to cruising and some of the people I interacted with assumed that I should know how to board they ship. Overall the experience was great. The crew onboard takes good care of you and the cabins are most comfortable. Even better ...
