Where do I even begin?! This was a NYE cruise and we wish we didn't go! The Oasis sailed out of Port of Miami on Dec 29 and returned on January 7th. Ports of call included Perfect Day at CoCo Cay, Curacao, Aruba, and Jamaica. Embarking on the ship was not an easy, quick experience at all. The port was insanely busy needless to say. Getting on the ship itself is long and tedious, and the workers at ...
There were four of us traveling. We made reservations over a year ago. When we checked in my sister’s reservation was missing they would not let her through security with the rest of us to board so we were separated us, letting 3 of us on the ship but she was not allowed instead she was sent to an office , we had to wait for her on the Promenade for more than half an hour, when she finally did ...
We are geeks and chose the ship because of the size, the Gardens, and the space to do things. Every day I would discover new areas of the ship that I had not seen before. There were endless activities, walking the promenade, the boardwalk, etc. and enjoying all the restaurants was amazing. We enjoyed the people on the cruise and made a lot of friends. We did not see out of control kids (as has ...
Post pandemic excited to get back to cruising. Booked Allure in October and quickly saw how things have changed. I am all for the cruise lines trying to make up for lost money but not at the expense of customers and in this case ones that routinely do 3-4 cruises a year strictly with RCCL. 39 with RCCL alone in 12 years.
Had Oasis booked already so we decided to go thinking maybe just a rare ...
I dont even know where to start so I'll leave it short and not sweet.
We stayed in Fort Lauderdale, rented a car for dropoff in Miami with a free shuttle to the port.
-Took over an hour to find a chair by the pool.
-EVERYWHERE is crowded and bottle necked. 45 min wait for a TACO. Terrible setup.
-The service is poor.
-The balcony room is smaller than what we experienced with ...
Because I have been on this ship 20 times..We are higher level" Diamond Plus" members of their incentive program..Now the truths.. The ship is fun and the good parts can;t be beat...Here goes:
1. Hundreds became sick on the Oasis, the cruise was shortened...Royal Caribbean refuses to put simple paper toilet seat liners in the public restrooms to save money..This is disgusting as men are forced ...
I don't usually write reviews, but I feel I have the duty to do so as a public service announcement before you spend your hard earned money and coveted vacation time. We are a family of four with teenaged children. We are both healthcare professionals and have extensively travelled all over the world. This was our 7th cruise, third with RCCL.
Here is the review of the ill-fated Jan 6th ...
First off I want to start by saying we were on the cruise that got returned to port a day early, were aloud off at Haiti, but were not aloud off at Jamaica and Cozumel. Started out as a smooth boarding process, nice, get on the boat and our rooms are no where near our family as they were suppose to be in fact they arent even in the ballpark of close. But 2nd day we tries to make the best of a bad ...
I was going to give them a three rating, but I'm writing this for people like me who stat with the worst and work their way up.
Overall this was an average cruise. Being on one of the world's largest cruise ships gave it some novelty that we had to try once. It didn't take long to realize that a ship with 5000 passengers on a ship geared towards families with children would make for some pretty ...
I feel like Royal Caribbean is more about taking your money than offering you a good experience. We paid for the extra dining package, yet at every specialty restaurant we went to we were charged EXTRA for certain items (like steak or lobster, or any 'specialty' items on the menu). We also paid for gratuity in advance, yet on every bill we were charged an EXTRA 18% automatically for gratuity!! ...
