Disappointed on the last day.

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

This was our first ever cruise. We read many reviews and had super high expectations. Get ready, the first 2 days you will be a bit disappointed with the service, everyone is stressed and every restaurant is packed and has long queues. 3rd day onwards is when you start enjoying your cruise. Everywhere is more organized and calmer. We also opted to do this cruise due to the many activities in the ...

Mixed feelings about cruising

This is my 2nd time cruising with Royal Caribbean, the first time was 8 years ago. This time it was with my husband and 2 children ages 15 and 11. My sister and her family of 4 and mother and aunt joined us as well. The service is excellent, waitors, room attendant, guest services, entertainment staff all provide exceptional service. The food is delicious, no complaints there. However for a ...

7 day out of Barcelona

This is a very nice ship and the crew is very friendly but as far as ports this cruise leaves a lot to be desired. If you like to do ship excursions then this ship will work for you. But if your like me and like to go out on your own and explore away from the hoards of shipmates I would be warned. This ships itenerary is almost designed to force you to use thier excursions. Here is why. ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

First, as an engineer myself, I have to say that the ship is indeed a great expression of what engineers are able to accomplish. Especially the central park is very impressive and to me it was a place of inspiration and an oasis of tranquility especially after midnight when most people were at sleep. Because of the size of the ship we did not even notice that we were moving and the sea was not ...

An Engineering Wonder but Cruising at its Worst

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

The ship is an engineering wonder with magnificent facilities but the service on board was appalling because it is apparent that the officers are conspicuous by their absence and do not communicate with the crew. The cruise on The Oasis was our seventh with Royal C and the short cruises they offered from Barcelona afforded the opportunity to experience first hand the ship that has received so much ...

Stingy on little things

The staff was great. The performances outstanding (Especially the aqua show). The specialty restaurants offered some of the best meals I can remember. But for the price you pay, they really take advantage of you on the little things. We paid over $1,000 for 'all inclusive' dining. Literally, you could order 3 appetizers and 2 mains if you wanted to. Yet you had to pay for soda? I don't drink soda ...

We enjoyed the cruise, however we did not enjoyed the total confusion on the ship. They seemed unable to deal with a transatlantic cruise. The schedule was practically none existent and full of errors. We were never sure when the shows were going to take place and at what time. During the day we were often unable to find anything of interest. There was only one lecturer (we are used to two or ...

What a disappointment

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

User Avatar

It was no Oasis....5,000 people jammed into small venues with the feeling that it was flash mobs 24/7. In short: The dining room food was pedestrian; offset by two great waiters. That was after a table move as I was placed next to a huge pillar that only a lefty could have used for the dining experience. The buffet was short on value and choices. Giovanni and Chops Grill were well worth the ...
