This was my second time aboard Oasis. I am Diamond and a single traveler. Embarkation at Port Canaveral is pretty seamless albeit crowded. This cruise was taken during spring break and there were many family, young children and teens aboard. Overall this was not a concern. Because of the size of Oasis, privacy is sometimes are to find. The Solarium is the best place for adults to sit and relax since it restricted to 18+. You can get breakfast and lunch there as well. First stop was Nassau..did not bother to get off the ship. Not a fan of the port Charlotte Amalie..excursion to ST John’s. Nice boat ride to the island and very informative. The bus tour was aboard a crowded open air vehicle. Made several scenic stops. If you had never been to St John’s this might be for you. St Martin: a tour not to miss!! Royal Fun Family Food Tour!! This was a small (16 people) group We made three food stops: Cheese House where we made and tasted four kinds of Gouda cheese made into Mac and cheese and plentiful champagne; stop two was an eclectic restaurant on the French side called GutSide Restaurant where wwe were treated to a delicious spiced pumpkin soup and a portion of jerk chicken that was outstanding prepared for us by the owner - this place has to be seen; the final stop was at the Carousel Ice cream store where we made Gelato hosted by the owners (Diego and Stella) and were treated to a ride on their full sized carousel. Not to be missed. Oasis also has more than one location for Diamond and above...one on deck 11 and another in Blaze (very quiet and not crowded at all). This makes it very easy to meet and chat. Overall: because Oasis is so huge, you will likely find the main promenade busy most of the time. Shops open only during at sea of course but most bars are open after 9 or 10. The pool areas are as expected crowded and noisy especially around the kids pool. Chair “saving” is actually watched and enforced for a change. I did not use the Windjammer buffet except for breakfast the last day. It was crowded but no lines. A couple of hints: embarkation day - go to Central Park to grab a quick bite.not a hectic as Windjammer. Try the Wipe Out Cafe for breakfast - made to order omelets and eggs plus a soft ice cream machine. The Oasis is as much an experience as it is a cruise. Once may be enuf for most folks but if you want to try it, you should. Read Less

I would highly recommend the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Sea to anyone for any sort of vacation or occasion. Our family booked a row of 5 balcony rooms on Deck 8 plus one more a few doors down for our family vacation. This trip was a first time cruise for about 6 of us. We enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony in the morning/evening or when we were coming into port. Our stateroom attendant, (I’m sorry, I forgot his name, but my room was 8136) consistently went above and beyond to make us feel at home, highly personable, went of his way to ensure everything in our room was to our satisfaction and along with the other housekeeping staff. This team did what they could to make us welcomed aboard. The food and service in the American Icon dining room were top notch. We were so impressed by our servers, Nelson and Amoor (I think that’s how you spell is name), we actually reserved our table in their section every night. We were highly pleased with it with all available selections. Honestly, we didn’t bother spending the money on the specialty restaurants. And I MUST mention the AMAZING bartenders at the Trellis Bar in the Central Park Deck 8 area of the ship. Virgillo, Archie and Shawna were nothing less than the BEST OF THE BEST bartenders. They always treated us with top notch service. My name is L'Oreal and the simple fact that EVERYTIME I would pass, they would speak and actually remember my name speaks VOLUMES for this crew. This team truly rocks! (I must also shout out to William. He opened the Trellis one afternoon and remembered me that same evening in the American Icon bar!) The activities on the ship were a lot of fun too. You could make the trip as relaxed or as busy as you wanted. We loved the fact that there was SO much to do we could not fit it all into our schedules. Even though we missed our shows due to our family dinners, I heard they were awesome. The FlowRider competition was pretty cool to watch. We also watched the World’s Sexiest Man contest which was HILARIOUS and fun! I must also make mention of the DreamWorks Parade! This was TRULY one of my favorite experiences aboard! I felt like a kid again and danced around with my little cousin who was just as mesmerized as I was. Our ports were Labadee, Haiti; Falmouth, Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico. The beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean will always be etched in my memory. I’m sure none of my family will ever forget this family vacation. We enjoyed the RCC event held in Labadee and the shopping. In Falmouth, we did the Fun in the Sun excursion to Doctor Cave’s Beach Club. We did enjoy seeing the school and field where Usain Bolt learned and trained. The beach was beautiful. We also had to joy of watching planes landing at the airport just north of us. Finally in Cozumel, we took a taxi downtown to do some shopping. We then took another taxi to Paradise Beach. This place is just beautiful and full of a broad range of activities. The culture here in Mexico is rich and I sincerely wanted more time there. All in all, it was the most amazing family vaction we could ask for. Thank you Royal Caribbean and Oasis of the Seas! We will definitely be back! (However, disembarked Aug. 5th 2018. As of Aug. 8th, we have booked Family Vacation 2019 on Allure of the Seas. No worries, Oasis, we’ll be back!) Read Less

We picked this ship because it is really large. With our Star Class, getting on and off the boat was always easy. Our Genie took care of us so we waited very little. The ship has lots to do, is clean and absolutely beautiful. Our cabin was a suite. There are 2 suites bigger than ours but they don't sleep but 4 or 6. Ours sleeps 8 and was spacious. The views were great, the balcony was amazing and the service was above and beyond my expectations. Being Star Class definitely made us feel like Royalty! Your personal Genie caters to your every need. I had 4 fourteen year old boys and they had a blast. Plenty for them to do socially and they love sports. They were occupied at all times and I always felt they were safe and supervised. They loved the 24 hour room service! The entertainment was awesome. We saw Cats, the Aqua theater water show, the ice skating show, the comedy show and all of the bands and singers. We missed some shows, just ran out of time. All of the shows and bands were great! Some of our group did other events and loved them all. My husband played poker and gave it a big thumbs up. The staff at all levels are very accommodating and kind. They work hard and seem to be happy to serve. The food was delicious and we ate way too much! The shore excursions were typical. Ours was not described accurately for St. Thomas (said 2 beaches but was only 1 and rushed). It was snorkeling too and not many fish. Nassau at Atlantis is crowded and the rain closed it for a bit. But there is a beach and it has jet skis for rent and other water activities. St. Maarten was our best! Sea Trek and they threw in some snorkeling. We saw lots of fish there. Then we found a Zip line on our own afterwards that Royal Caribbean does not sell and it was the best of all. It was a zip line plus you could ride an inner tube down the mountain. Just need more time at all the stops. Typical for a cruise but there is always a rush and of course, lots of people. But everyone was friendly and we always felt safe. Bring cash off ship for extras! Jet skis Etc want cash. Read Less

Service in dining rooms and stateroom attendant was great. - Central Park is beautiful - Water show was fantastic - cruise was an amazing experience. Haiti was great! It was accessible! Lots of places to shop and a buffet for lunch was delicious. My cabin was completely accessible and I made full use of our private balcony. Dinner was scrumptious! French Onion Soup, steak and the best dark chocolate cake I ever tasted. The staff sang Happy Birthday. Our waiter Norrys was great! He was very attentive and so was Joel the drink server! On our last nightJoel performed magic tricks with napkins and Norrys played the guitar! - Service in dining rooms and stateroom attendant was great. - Central Park is beautiful - Water show was fantastic - Friends of ours got married onboard. The wedding service, staff, food etc were great. - Best filet mignon, could cut it with a knife at Giovanni’s. Cons - These are all minor issues and wouldn’t deter us from booking another cruise on this ship. Read Less

We booked this cruise for my Birthday and I was a little apprehensive, I didn't want to be the youngest there, I wasn't sure how I would feel being stuck on a ship for a week at a time and so on. All I can say is, when we got to the Port and I seen how HUGE the ship was I was in total shock, I just never ever thought the ship would be that big. Once we stepped on to the ship I was in total awe and admiration over it. The reception/lobby area is absolutely gorgeous! The sparkling staircases and all the buzz of everyone finally in holiday mode! I was made up. We purchased a drinks package and it was well worth the money, all the cocktails you wanted you could have! Amazing. I actually felt like I was on a really luxury holiday and I couldn't believe it! Staff - polite and professional. I was really sick with sea sickness the first two days, no fault of the ship at all but the sea was quite choppy then. The staff were so helpful letting me know whats best to eat, drink, take to help the sea sickness calm down. Our room attendant was called Ethan I think, we were Deck 14. He was so sweet and never passed us without asking how I was feeling and how the holiday was going! Amazing service. Even the staff in the bars were fantastic always keeping your drink topped up and even doing tricks! There was a guy in the bar in central park and he had us cracked up for hours each and every day!! Best bunch of people work on this ship!! Cabin - Spotlessly clean and spacious. The only thing I didn't really like was there was no iron in the room and if you needed to iron clothes, it was at a cost. Entertainment & Activities - Fantastic entertainment was on board. We didn't get a chance to go and see/do everything even though we were there for a week. Ice-skating, water shows, ice shows, golf, games room, flow rider, zipline I mean come on !! this ship had something for everybody. Dining - Food was spectacular!! Absolutely amazing, I would recommend going to the restaurant for breakfast for a fancy eggs Florentine. Amazing. The formal night was like steak and lobster - the food is seriously amazing! even grabbing a slice of pizza on your way to bed was something I looked forward to, thanks for the 10 lb extra though Oasis haha! Ports - please people if you are going to Jamaica and want to chill on a beach go to margaritaville!! it is amazing, the staff are such good fun and they help you have the best time everrrr!! I cant wait to go back already! If you contemplating this ship just go and book it! It is a fab ship with lots to do! You will never ever get bored. If you don't book this ship, you will regret it! The curtsey wheel chair was great if you where having problems with embarkation and staff very good with people with disabilities I almost forgot I was on a shep. The sail felt like I was on land. Ship is huge, beautiful and safe. Cabin very clean and well kept. The attendants were prompt with any service I needed. An elegant 5 star dinning experience in the main dinning room and very accommodating. Wonderful variety of entertainment and activities. The service was prompt and friendly as a whole. Shore excursions were exciting but need to emphasize more on disability access. Even though I didn't travel with children I saw many families and children thoroughly enjoying the activities. My favorites were the shows, clubs, dancing and music. I am looking forward to my next cruise. Read Less

Food was great, especially on "vintages". Lots of beautiful shows and parades. Its a huge ship, so you might get lost once or twice, but you get used to it. Boardwalk, Central Park, and Royal Promenade are magical. Everyone treats you like if you were some kind of king. The cabins are very comfortable and they give you much privacy. When we were onboard, we saw the Total Eclipse. It was amazing. Besides, Royal Caribbean gave us special dishes and trivias for the eclipse. The sports and pool deck are one of the ships best neighborhoods. You can enjoy restaurants, mini-golf, 10 hot tubs, around 5 pools, the Only Adult Solarium, the flow rider, and the one and only Zip line. And on Deck 14, the Adventure Ocean, where your kids can have fun and play with other children. Everything is fun and full of adventure, but if you want to relax, the Vitality and Fitness Center is just what you're looking for, or maybe you could just watch the ship leaving the port or how the sun sets at the hidden "Sun Deck". Everything is amazing, For both, adults and kids, so if you're looking for a family vacation, with lots of fun and adventure, travel with the Oasis of the Seas. Read Less

I did not do any excursions felt a little pricy. Since I am a bowler, it would have nice to see a Bowling lane. The staff was great and funny to be around. They were very helpful if you got lost. The shows were good. Was glad to see adult versions and family versions of the commedians. Lots of family oriented activities. When I go on my next cruise, which I definitely will do, I will make sure both grandkids are over 21 to enjoy all the drinking they want and not to have to worry about driving anywhere. Will try some excursions at that time. I enjoyed the hot tubs especially in the evening. Went swimming later in the evening. I enjoyed all the shows. Such talented people! They search thru out stuff with not respect to our personal items and no dignity. Coming thru custom to return on the boat was very bad. Those custom guards need a lot more training. The whole experience was horrible. Overall the cruise was great all my family and friends had a great time. The service on the ship was also great, the entertainment was good, house keeping was excellent, not to mention the dinning experience. the food at all the dinning facilities was very good. Chose this cruise since my cabin mate signed on to cruise with the MS Cruisers! 3rd cruise overall, but first RCCL cruise and I wasn't disappointed! the ONLY downside to this entire adventure was the high wind we experienced on board most days and in ports! According to multiple cruisers and staff on board it was highly unusual....and we had quick rain showers in each port, alas you can't control mother nature.....but the service, activities, shopping, food, staff were simply amazing!!! Loved the port maps provided for shopping in each Cruise Compass, be careful not to overbook yourself! so much to do but easy to overlap if you're not careful! Our cabin steward was AMAZING! and the on board shopping specials were fantastic! The shows were awesome and I liked the fact you could choose which shows and what time you wanted to see them. The ship had many places to enjoy lounging around the pool and you never felt crowded. Embarkation and disembarkation was very easy with very little wait times. Porters were available so it was not difficult dealing with luggage. Enjoyed the balcony over the Boardwalk but next time would get a Central Park View room since it has a sitting nook in the room and it gives a little extra room for sitting. We did the Blackbeard Castle excursion and would like to let anyone know if they are interested in this one you WILL have to walk back to the ship. Definitely read the small print on this excursion. What a ship! What an experience! What a vacation. I wanted to start with the negative because it will be short and concise. Simply put... There really isn't one. I guess you could say, I wish I didn't have to sign up for entertainment early. Or maybe I could say the specialty restaurants far outshine the main dining. Well duh... Or what about, it's too big? meh! That didn't bother me either. I loved this ship. I just wish they had more going on at the Boardwalk at night. Lovely area that was pretty much dead after 8:30/9pm. We stayed in room 12325, a boardwalk balcony room. It sufficed for 2 ppl. Loved the enclosed showers. Those curtains on a lot of other ships only ensure your floor will get wet. I think I did just about everything on this cruise... Every show, spa, gym, games, golf, zip line, rock climbing, bball, etc. Only missed volleyball. Oh there is 1 negative... The show CATS need to be replaced. We hung in there but by the end felt de-energized. Entertainment should uplift. Other than that, Oasis has wet my appetite for its sister ships and all the new ones to come. What a great 7 days! Read Less

In short: I absolutely loved the ship. The lines at Windjammer were not as terrible as I expected, nor were the elevators. The ice show is magnificent. The teen program is flawless in entertaining us rowdy adolescents while not being too confining or "uncool". My only complaints: The "Oasis of Dreams" water show was not as good as Oceanaria was, honestly I was bored. Also, the food is not the best. While the windjammer holds some gems of taste, for the most part the food is mediocre. My suggestion: Pasta, miniature croissants, french fries, and soft serve yogurt. Read Less

Booked a back to back on the Oasis of the Seas for January 24 thru February 7, 2015. This was a Eastern and Western Cruise. We booked a Junior Suite for both weeks and was comfortable with the size. First week was Fantastic, from the Room Steward to Servers in dinning room to Food. Simon and Robert our Dinning room Servers could not have been better. If you cruise the Oasis make sure you ask to be seated at Simon Fernandez table. Guarantee you will not be disappointed. The new Diamond Lounge is nice however it was full every night for the two weeks, so you had to get there early if you wanted a seat. We had the privilege of having a guest band on board the first week of the cruise. It was a band called 7th Heaven and let me tell you they were fantastic. We attended karaoke nightly just to hear them sing and then on the Friday night they performed in the Aqua Theater and it was filled to capacity. We have booked the cruise again next year since they will be returning for 2016. The second week we had some issues. First of all this was our first time doing a back to back on the same ship, and when we booked the cruises they said that the boarding process for the second cruise would be very easy. Well we found out different. We were never informed on what we were to do as a back to back cruiser. Finally went to Guest Services and they said that we would receive a letter on how to proceed with the back to back. Well that letter never arrived so we ended up departing like the rest of the guest and reboarding like everyone else. When we got to our new stateroom we found a box of half eaten fudge on the desk. A dirty glass in the bathroom with toothpaste still in the glass, and most disgusting was the sheets had blood stains on them. Pretty much ruined our second week. However everything was corrected.   Read Less

I wanted to do something different for Christmas,so I went to a travel agent, told her I wanted to try a cruise and away I went. (Solo male). I travel to Vegas frequently and stay at the Bellagio(who treat me well), but the service and friendliness of the staff was ten-fold better. My cabin attendant, knew what I wanted before I did. The maitre'd in the Windjammer was friendly, without being intrusive and appeared to make everyone feel like a friend. The bus ride to and from the airport is a short 10-15 minutes and Dade County Sherrifs control traffic, giving the busses the right of way.Boarding the ship is as organized as anything I've experienced, and 5400 people are on the ship in short order. We were blessed with calm seas and my concerns with sea sickness disappeared after a couple of hours. You barely notice the ship is moving.Even when it rotated into the dock at Falmouth, you couldn't sense the movement. Activity-wise, there's no excuse to be bored. 2 climbing walls, Flow riders for surfing and wake boarding, pools that little kids cried when they had to leave. Clubs, lounges, for adults. The Theatre, shows on the Promenade by pretty talented crew members. As far as shore excursions went, I only booked the zip line in Labadee. There were numerous experienced people who had cruise these ports before and I found them to be an excellent source for choosing excursions. It's like a small town atmosphere. Lots of fun. Quiet places (Solarium) if you want away from the squealing. One person complained about Royal Caribbean having their hand out every time you turned around. And yes, it's sell, sell, sell, but outside of getting a drink package, I had no problem ignoring it. It was a good warm-up for the shop owners in Cozumel. LOL Thinking about going again. Read Less

The cruise was overall wonderful! I came with my Mom and have sailed on several Royal Caribbean Ships. This was my second time on Oasis, and I've also been on the Allure twice. I only had a few disappointments. The first the so-called "singles get-together" on the Rising Tide bar. It was non-existent! I showed up for it twice and I was the only one there! There are more couples on the ship than anything (almost seemed like things were geared more towards them). That's not RCCL's fault...however, in my opinion, that activity should be done away with because like I said, non-existent. It's really sad! The only other issue I had was with 150 Central Park. The service was outstanding, and our waiter was Julian from Honduras. He was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, the food taste/selection was not that great. It was a huge disappointment, especially since Mom and I always wanted to go there. Every time we were to sail on either Oasis or Allure, we meant to try 150 Central Park, and this time we were determined to go. Now, we regret spending that money! We should have gone to Giovanni's table or Chop's Grille instead Finally...there was supposed to be a meet & mingle for cruise critic members on 8/25 at Dazzles...but there was NO ONE there! What happened? The cruise in general was fantastic...the food everywhere else was great, the service was incredible, and we made some new amazing friends. Great ship. Excellent service. Lots to see and do. But.....over 6000 passengers made it hard to get to know anyone. Met a lot of people but couldn't remember all the names! HAIRSPRAY was just ok, not anything worth waiting in line for more than a few minutes. The diving show at the Aqua Theater was phenomenal! well worth the wait!! The food was good, I would stay away from the upgraded restaurant with the attached fees, especially Johnny Rockets. Not worth the additional fee. Drinks were expensive, as you would expect. The crew was excellent, took care of everything for you including closing one of the swimming pools after some loudmouth complained about young kids using it as a toilet. Too many rude Spanish and Japanese people on board. The push and shove their way all over the ship when they are not standing in the middle of a staircase taking photos of the carpeting or handrails. It would have been nice to speak English with more of the passengers. Nassau, St Thomas, and Saint Maartin are good examples of why the economy is in the dumper. Lots of tourist money coming in and most of the Island residents just spend it on dope and booze. The only Island residents that seem to work are the ones that hound you at every street. Better to stay on the ship and buy some time on the internet. For everyone who insisted on having their picture taken with "Le General" on formal nights, you may as well know now that he is just another passenger. Read Less

Oasis was our second cruise, first being Carnival Pride, and there was no comparison! By the end of the second day, we decided that we are going back next year! The ship is huge but we never felt crowded. We used the restaurant guide on the TV to see what was crowded, only ran into crowds at elevators once or twice and just took steps to another deck. The staff was amiable and very helpful! They are such hard workers! Our cabin steward, Dale, always had a smile and was always available. We needed maintenance twice because we couldn't get the safe open and they were there in FIVE minutes. Room service was completely on time. We marveled at how the ship did not seem crowded although it was totally full. A balcony cabin on the ocean side was a must as we watched them dock this huge ship, enjoyed the almost eerie quiet as we sat in St Thomas harbor after dark, and saw sunrises and sunsets. Loved Johnny Rockets , 150 central Park, and Giovanni's table. We had lunch most days in the Solarium and enjoyed the idea of some healthy options. The Solarium was a delight because it was for adults and so very peaceful. We did not think the food was as good as Carnival but I wasn't there for the food and there certainly was plenty of choices. The excursions we took on St. Thomas and St. Martin were very much worth what they cost. We got to see the islands with some very informative tour guides and had time for our own exploration. All week we tried to find something wrong and couldn't. My only complaint was the smoking areas but I guess that is necessary and we just tried to avoid them. next year, we will be on the Oasis once again to continue our most wonderful adventure!!!! Chose this cruise to experience the Oasis class ship. We have tried the Voyager class before and wanted to see what the differences were. The cruise it self was fantastic. We did have some issues with weather, but that is expected in September in the Caribbean. This did impact a couple of the shows (Cats and the Aqua-theatre Comedy show). The only thing we would say is the ship itself was a bit too large for us. It took a while to get anywhere due to the size. That said, the dining was fantastic. Particularly Central Park 150. This was perfect for us, high end, great service and attentive waiters. Our room steward was great and kept our place clean and tidy. The entertainment options were great. Cats and the Aqua-Theatre are the standouts. However, we also had a great time a the comedy club and at the Jazz bar. The Jazz trio were particularly good. We would most likely go again with RCCL. However, maybe a smaller ship next time. Read Less

Oasis of the Seas has a great crew. the ship needs refurbishing its 9 years old. saying that I still had a great time. My only beef is that when I travel alone they set me at a table for two and I end up eating alone. this has happened over and over again. if i want to eat alone i would stay home. when I book my cruise I ask for early dining and a large table. I did not like the show CATS and walked out after 30 minutes. a half hour later i saw a line 9 persons wide walking out. The comedy show was very good along with the water show, ice show come fly with me. Come fly with me had props that i have never seen in a broadway type show. it was great. I have a suggestion for RCL open up my time dining and start a large table for those of us that are single. PS being diamond plus made boarding easy with a small line. Read Less

As a young single senior, I sailed by myself. Overall, it was a nice cruise with the following exceptions: I found most of the bar and general staff not to be very friendly or social. Also, while the Grande Restaurant was nice, the service was marginal and the food was not quite up to par as on my previous Royal cruises. The Windjammer was lacking in variety of food and most of the hot food was cold. It was difficult at times to find a table as they were not cleared off from the previous people. I did not attend any of the shows as I have seen them on previous cruises. If history repeats itself, they are usually outstanding and should not be missed. If you want a little more peace and quiet, visit the Solarium for sunbathing and relaxing. It is for adults and provides lots of lounge chairs, a very small dipping pool and hot tub. Unfortunately, the pool was drained for repairs several days before the end of the cruise. As far as ports go, I love spending the day at Labadee. It includes a modest BBQ, water activities and zip line. I rented a small cabana with two lounge chairs for the day. I believe the price was in the mid $40 range for two and well worth it as the sun is intense. While the ship is huge, I found it manageable to maneuver. I like the late dining, however, it makes it difficult to plan your shows. Also, since dining is over so late, it made it difficult to find a seat in the more popular bars at times. Overall, I think it is a great ship for families and couples. There are tons of activities for the kids and teens. As a single female in my 60’s and traveling by myself, there really weren’t any specific activities geared towards me. However, I knew that would be the case, so I just wanted a week of relaxing and doing what I wanted to do and when I wanted to do it. I did have the opportunity to talk to many people and was seated at dinner with four other single ladies in the same age group. A cruise, or any type of travel for that matter, is what you make of it. Don’t stress over the small things and just enjoy yourself! Read Less

This ship was absolutely amazing! There was SO much to do & we were always on the move. The employees on this ship are PHENOMENAL. They provide amazing service (as all Royal Caribbean ships do). Best service I have had yet has been on all Royal Caribbean lines! The entertainment was amazing! I highly recommend booking all shows before the cruise as they are extremely popular. Comedy show & come fly with me were two of my favorites. The cruise director Ricky was AWESOME and made this cruise so much fun. Definitely go see "The Quest" & "Love and Marriage".....awesome!! Specialty dining was nothing special and have to say I was quite disappointed by it. I thought the free dining rooms had much better food. I wouldn't bother paying the extra money for the specialty dining. If I were to recommend one of the dining options I would say Giovanni's just to switch it up, but there are plenty of free options. Also, soda packages seemed to be a waste as all the dining rooms had non-alcoholic drinks available for free (windjammer/any buffet). If you are going to be drinking alcohol I would get the drink package as it truly is worth it. Read Less

Will keep it short since there's so many detailed reviews out there. 10th cruise, 4th on RCCL..went with a group of 33 total Pre-cruise: stayed at Embassy Suites night before; took 2 taxis at 11am for my immediate group of 6 (waited about 10 mins), basically at $12/taxi with tip. Note that Embassy has shuttle service at $8/person, but I saw them trying to fill one up and offering $5/person. Part of group in front of us took that offer. Embark: Went very smooth at Ft. Lauderdale. I've seen better and I've seen much worse. Ship: We were on the ship before noon and headed to Park Cafe for the amazing roast beef sandwiches. Unfortunately, everybody was gong there and the line went out the door so we decided to head to windjammer. Line at windjammer but only waited like 5-10 minutes. This is a welcome sacrifice as you only get in the WJ when a table is available. It cuts down on the traffice inside immensely. I'm so thankful they do this now cause I remembering it being a madhouse in there at times. Anyway, cabin ready just after 1pm so perfect. Love the layout of the ship, and loved being on same deck as Park Cafe. Basically wake up at 11 and go get roast beef 100 feet away, ha. The only slight problem on layout is the Comedy club is so small that if you can't keep your reservations, you need to get in line at least 15-20 mins ahead of time for standby. The room only holds 90 at a time and with limited shows and 6,000 people on board, be warned. Good thing is they seem to get about 20-35 standby's in per show. Our Hairspray show got cancelled and they rescheduled it during our last dinner, so never got a chance to see that. Come Fly with Me was definitely worth seeing. Oh, loved the comedy shows. Simeon is very funny and you must see him do his snowman. Wasn't too crazy on the deck party being in the Solarium. It gets quite stuffy up there, not cool. Also, Dazzles got VERY warm as well. One bad thing about layout....our dining table was just thru the front doors on deck 4. You could smell smoke coming from the casino. That is not cool if you have the sensitive nose to pick it up so be warned. Food: Overall, it seems like the quality of food in dining room, and windjammer, is slightly lower than I remember. To me, the lentil soup and the beef tenderloin were the only dinner items worth bragging about. I also had something 'bad' one dinner as I spent the night sleeping on the toilet, doh. Service: cabin and dinner were excellent...guess services not so much....waited in line 5 times just to get extra keys made that kept failing..kept telling us it was a software problem..however, the 5th time they just closed sea pass cards and opened up new ones...they could've done that the 2nd time and saved a ton of frustration....so, if your extra key doesn't work 1st time, just tell them to close and get new cards with extra key cards at same time! The ports were all excellent, or as good as I expected. Get your beach chairs early in Labadee, Jamaica (we did Dunns River and Bamboo Blu beach thru knowjamiaca tours since first time there) was tons of fun but Falmouth is so damn far away so it take about an hour each way, and in Cozumel we did Nachi Cocum this time (well worth it). The snorkel tour out to the reefs was below expectations and a bit rough. Water was not nearly as clear as I expected, maybe it was due to rains a few hours beforehand. The big take away is this ship is amazing and I'm glad we tried this one since the wife is sick of cruising, ha. It was one of the least crowded ships I felt, even though 6,100 passengers. Read Less
