Great fun, more attention to sanitation, and less hard sell

My wife and I are both retirees and have been on nine previous cruises on Princess, Holland America, Celebrity, Cunard, and Norwegian. This was our first cruise on Royal Caribbean and our first cruise on a “mega-ship” with six thousand plus passengers. While we had reservations about the size and style of the ship, we wanted to join a Greek social group that was sailing on this cruise. We were ...

Good job on amplification. But just too big for our taste

We had previously sailed on the Oasis in 2012. We were asked to change staterooms the Wednesday prior to the sailing as our junior suite had a pull out couch and the one they ask us to take did not. I agreed even though we had selected the original stateroom, based on the location next to our friends. RC did give us a $400 onboard credit. Miami terminal was simple and efficient. I have found ...

This was my 3rd cruise and my husband's first cruise. We were both hesitant bc we go to an All Inclusive every year. We weren't sure if we would enjoy a cruise as much as we enjoy an AI. But we did! We had a great time. My husband was in awe when he first saw the ship. There were over 6,000 guests on the ship, but we rarely felt crowded. On sea days the pool deck was crowded, but we just ...

All in all, this a great ship with lots to do. For the most part they've done a great job spreading out the crowds, however, there are few areas where the huge number of passengers becomes a big problem. I will detail them below. PROS: The "Central Park" neighborhood is breathtaking. It really feels quiet and intimate. You completely forget you are in the middle of a huge ship surrounded by ...

We have sailed royal Caribbean before but it has been a long time since we sailed last. It has been more than 10 years. Arriving at the port in the late morning could not have been any easier. We pulled up into the parking garage, went to the second level where they stopped us and took our luggage. We then proceeded upwards to find a parking space on board the ship within 20 minutes, including ...

Pros and cons of the refit

We went with this cruise as it was one of the only ones we could make work date wise with what was listed on the casino players free cruise list (first world problems...). Between vouchers we managed to upgrade to a boardwalk balcony room which was lovely. This is the third oasis class ship we have sailed on and there are aspects of the new refit that I like and others that I’m not such a fan ...

Friendly staff. Kudos to RC for exemplary customer service. Giovanni's. Divine with great waiter. Central Park. Pristine. Sorrento's. Delicious antipasto bar. Activities. Event director passionate about guests enjoying themselves. Fun rumba/yoga classes. Cons Crowds. Too much waiting; elevators a nightmare. Cats. Boring. Sea pass bracelet. Paid for them so we ...

I dont even know where to start so I'll leave it short and not sweet. We stayed in Fort Lauderdale, rented a car for dropoff in Miami with a free shuttle to the port. -Took over an hour to find a chair by the pool. -EVERYWHERE is crowded and bottle necked. 45 min wait for a TACO. Terrible setup. -The service is poor. -The balcony room is smaller than what we experienced with ...

updates on the boat are very nice on board activities are done nicely staff is nice menu is very repetitious for 7 night select dining has much to be desired at the extra expense.
