The Suite Life - the Covid Reality

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Booked this cruise back in December 2020 with Credit card points that were expiring. Got a Crown Loft Suite. Cancelled a few times because of Covid concerns, but finally sailed. Still wasn't crazy about covid levels but I came up with a plan. You used to be able to arrive at port early if you have a suite. We were given a 1:30 time slot, and could arrive an hour early as a suite customer. It ...

I have been on many cruises and had not be on an Oasis class ship. This seemed like a no brainer. I have not been on Princess cruises either. After this cruise, I realized why I left Royal to go to other lines. In short, the ship is very good. It has multiple areas so things do not get too congested. It is very kid friendly and geared towards that type of clientele. The entertainment was OK--Cats ...

The Good, The Mediocre and The Bummer

Rating 4 1/2 Stars! Returned home last night from our week on Oasis. Here is a "not so brief" overview of our trip. " The Good, The Mediocre and The Bummer". We were actually one of the few people whose flight was actually on time and made it to Miami. Almost everyone else in the rather large group either had flights cancelled or had to do some very crazy maneuvers to actually make it to ...

Traveled with husband, 3 children (9,9,4), both of my sisters, and my parents (with mobility issues) on this our first Star Class trip and our first cruise since Covid. My sisters were each in their own balcony room, my parents had a Jr suite, and we had a 2 bedroom AquaTheater suite. SHIP The Oasis is clean, beautiful, and very big. I was onboard for 8 days, and even on day 7 I was ...

The Cruise That Shouldn't Have Been

We decided to start doing a Christmas Cruise in 2020 because our son was going to college and he and our daughter no longer had the same schedule. Our 2020 plans on the Carnival Mardi Gras were thwarted: thank you Covid!. For Christmas 2021, we were booked on the Carnival Horizon. Two weeks out, we find out our cruise was canceled due to propulsion issues. Carnival brought 2 older ships out of dry ...

BEWARE COVID DANGER

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

I find that all 4 Oasis class ships are mostly cookie cutter copies with minor differences. My favorite ships to cruise on. I've been on the Oasis a few times, and love it, except for their Broadway show, Cats. They would do better with something more lively, like Jersey Boys. I cruised the Symphony just the month before, and found the staff there more congenial. The only glitch I had on the ...

This was a spur of the moment cruise, a pre-christmas gift that my significant other and myself wanted to share. We did purchase the "key" The key is similar to a fast pass at major parks. It allowed us to bypass the line, get escorted to a very nice lunch and also provided us with wifi. The ship itself was amazing. It is definitely filled with plenty to do from zip lining to mini golf. It is ...

First of all, a shoutout to the wonderful crew of the Oasis of the Seas. You are magnificent, providing excellent service and always smiling under the mask, that you are unfortunately forced to wear even outside on deck. Embarkation started off a bit chaotic, as nobody knew where to queue for their time slot. But that was cleared up by RCL's port personnel pretty quickly and they started to ...

WELCOME BACK TO ROYAL

I love cruising and I have missed it soo much. I was so lucky to be able to book a last-minute cruise on Oasis. I am fully vaccinated plus I just received my booster. My husband and I are both nurses. I am so happy that Royal wants everyone vaccinated and tested except for children who are not able to be vaccinated. It is impossible to write a review without talking about COVID protocols. ...

Oasis of the Seas Sailed out of Bayonne, NJ on October 3, 2021 on Oasis of the Seas. Excited to cruise again. We had last sailed March 2020 the day before CDC advised not to cruise. On that voyage, one port was closed to us and then San Juan denied us our return debarkation. Scary ending to a trip, but we felt ready now to cruise on a Vaccination Required ship. First time out of Bayonne, ...
