I chose this cruise because I wanted to experience Europe and to feel safe and grounded while doing that. Maybe I would choose a cruise with less port intense agenda. Getting out every morning and walking for hours on end was too labor intensive for me, but it was still wonderful! Dining was a highlight of my day. I did dinner every evening in the main dining room. It was fun and I looked forward to seeing our waiters and our table mates each evening. I was quite disappointed to learn that surf and turf night is now a thing of the past! I could order lobster if I paid a $29.99 surcharge. Dinners were good but there was not as much variety as I was accustomed to. Majority of the items were offered daily. There would be 1 or 2 new items added per day, but most of the menu remained the same. I booked an ocean view cabin which I would have loved - except the weather did not cooperate. It was cold every day and wet & cold most evenings, so we couldn’t enjoy it at all! The cabin itself was comfortable, spacious and efficient. Read Less

Went on the Oasis with my BFF and had a great time! Our large ocean view balcony cabin was perfect for us! The headliner, Tony Tillman, gave a great performance! We dined at Giovanni's, Chops, and 150 Central Park, as well as ate in the MDR for MTD. All restaurants were excellent! My favorite would have to be 150CP for its mouth-watering beef tenderloin for two! Best meat I have ever tasted, and the very tasty small lobster tail was a nice surprise! My favorite hangout spots are Central Park, Boardwalk, Rising Tide bar, and the solarium! My two favorite classes are Oasis and Freedom, so much so, that my DH and I will be boarding Lady O again in just 2 short weeks!! Port Canaveral is also our favorite embarkation port, as we only live 2 hours away, and there are lots of parking options! Thanks RCCL for continued excellence!! P.S. I will hate seeing the DL on Deck 11 replaced by Wonderland and the DL either being eliminated or moved to the windowless Deck 4! It's just business (I guess). Even so, it won't stop us from cruising with RCCL. By SilkySal Read Less

We have wanted to cruise on one of the Oasis class ships far some time and thankfully final did. What a great ship. Yes there are 6000 guests on board however with only one exception, we didn't experience any long lines. The exception of course was the windjammer buffet. They hold you up at the entrance so they can locate a seat for you which is a good idea. Other wise there would be tons of people bumping into one another trying to find a seat. Just too many people and totally unnecessary. We instead ate breakfast at the Central Park Cafe'. No lines quiet, enjoyable and the food was good. If you want to go to a buffet and load your plate to the ceiling with food you probably wont eat cause it's free, the Park cafe might not be for you. There is no charge, however there aren't 10,000 items to choose from. Specialty dining was simply awesome. I would highly recommend it. Main dining room was OK but we preferred the specialty restaurants. We found the solarium cafe' to be in between the main dining room and specialty restaurants as far as food quality. You will need to make reservations in advance but it is also free. Loved the shows. By the way, RESERVE YOUR SEATS FOR THE SHOWS prior to sailing. Drink prices have gone way up sense we last cruised on Royal three years ago. The drink package might be for you if you plan on drinking five or more drinks per day. Keep your eyes open prior to sailing for deals on the drink package. Day 5 they offered several drink deals. We took advantage of the 10 drinks for $79 card. After gratuity it was close to $100. You save around $35 bucks depending on what you are drinking. Only thing I don't like about RCCL is the day strip on the floor in the elevators. I don't want to be reminded every time I get in the elevator what day it is and how little time we have left. LOL Read Less

The ship was fantastic. Lots of activities. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. The service was the best I've ever had. I think it was because I had reached Diamond status & the staff treated me like royalty! I was constantly getting champagne, wine, or sweets in my cabin. We had My Time Dining & we kept the same waiters. They were outstanding--spoiled us to death! The only bad thing was our room. We were doing a back to back & the room for our 1st week for your typical inside cabin. Small but certainly manageable for 2 widowed ladies. That room was 11677. The room for this week of our cruise was room 14327 & it was totally unacceptable! The bathroom had a small, very shallow sink that I couldn't even begin to wash my bathing suit in. There were no glass holders, no clothes line in the shower--just 2 hooks. The place that was supposed to be a place for your soap & shampoo to be was not a solid surface so everything placed there would fall through! The closet was a little larger than our 1st room but was only a foot from the bed. We couldn't get to it unless we slid the bed toward the other bed! Even then we couldn't bend down to get to the shoes so I just piled my shoes on the other side of the room in front of the long couch! Why such a super long couch & no room to get in the closet? Horrible room! The entertainment was great! Very enjoyable Headliner Shows. I really liked Cats. It's not a 3 hour show that so many people have said. It was 2 hours & 25 min. I saw it twice. One of the comedians, Nery Saenz was very funny in the Comedy Club & also in the auditorium, but the other one was not. Frozen in Time was very good & so was the Aqua show. Lots of good entertainment. Pools & hot tubs very good. The food in Haiti was not the best. All of the meat was dry. Good entertainment while we were eating there. Typical ports--we didn't do any shore excursions. The Dining Room had good food for the most part. Ate at Chops one night & it was outstanding. Embarkation was very bad. The passengers that had already checked in had to sit on the floor or chairs because they couldn't board the ship yet. We were getting ready to check in but were not allowed to since no one could board & had to stand there for a good 40 minutes. We were told that the Coast Guard had sent only 3 people instead the usual 18 required to clear the ship. All in all it was a good cruise on a great ship. Read Less

We decided to do a neighborhood cruise from The Villages, FL. on the beautiful Oasis taking the Eastern Caribbean itinerary. This was our 4th cruise on the Oasis and it was good to be back on her. Final call had a total of 49 cruiser's heading out for 7 days of fun and over indulgence with the many food choices available. The Oasis class ship is our ship of choice with the many venues available any day of the week. Because we had been to all the usual ports many times we chose to stay on board during Port days and enjoyed the solitude available in all the hot tubs and pools and also the non busy eating places that were open. Entertainment was provided by cutthroat games of Sequence to burn up the calories. Embarkation was a nightmare as customs didn't clear the ship for boarding until almost noon thereby guarantying huge winding lines where you visited your neighbor many times over as we weaved our way thru. But finally they cleared the ship for boarding and we were ready for our adventure. We had a basic ocean view balcony that sufficed for the occasion but after being spoiled in suites a few times lately it's never the same. But we were on a cruise so we sucked it up and enjoyed what we had. We ate in the Main Dining room table # 836 @ 5:30 every night and we have never had better service in 20+ cruises with Tejas and Ming Ming bending over backwards to accomodate our every need The basic shows that we've also seen many times were good but "Come Fly With Me" needs to be replaced as it's served it's useful purpose. Aqua Theatre and ice skating show are always entertaining. Sadly the departure date arrived and once again our vaunted Customs Agents delayed everything as in the beginning they had 2 agents to serve 6,000 passengers. It's a shame that in some peoples eyes they blame RCCL for these messes with embark/disembark problems which were not of any of their doing. On the bus ride home our group of 49 all agreed it was a wonderful cruise and everyone had a grand time. You can't ask for a better rating than that. Read Less

We had an excellent cruise. We were a little crowded because I had rented a scooter to get from one end of the ship to the other and the scooter had to remain in the room, at all times, when not in use. An accessible room was not available when we booked, so from now on we will only book accessible rooms, and if none are available, we will pick another itinerary. Our cabin steward was excellent and our waiter was exceptional. We didn't go to any of the $ restaurants since the food in the MDR was good and to our liking. We booked an inside balcony overlooking the Boardwalk and thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony and enjoyed watching all the cruisers wander around the Boardwalk. We could see the Aqua Theater from our balcony and enjoyed watching the shows there. The perks that go along with the inside balcony were a treat. . . . Will be on the Harmony next October and are looking forward to exploring another of the Royal Caribbean ships. Read Less

A relaxing seven-day trip! Our trip began in Tallahassee on October 6th as we drove to Gainesville to attend the Florida/LSU football game (what a game!). After the game we drove to Orlando and stayed at the Marriott Fairfield inn near the Orlando airport (a 45-minute drive to the port). We arrived at the port around 11:00 am and, for the convenience, we parked in the port garage - $136 for the week. Security and Check-in were efficient and within 15 minutes we were in the waiting area to board the ship. We were in the waiting area about 15 minutes and were in the Windjammer having lunch by 12:00 noon. As always, the paella was excellent! This was our fourth cruise on the Oasis class ships and our second on the Oasis of the Seas. The Oasis of the Seas is a beautiful ship and was clean and well maintained, although the ship is beginning to show wear on the carpets and furniture and on the pool deck. Since this was fall break for several southeastern states, there were a lot of families and kids on this cruise. We stayed in cabin 10209, a veranda room overlooking Central Park. As part of the package for staying in a veranda room overlooking Central Park, we received a complimentary bottle of wine and a lunch in Giovanni’s. The lunch at Giovanni’s was excellent. The room was well maintained and outstanding service was provided by our Cabin Attendant (Debra Jack)! The only minor issues we had were that our luggage arrived after dinner and our safe would not open the first evening; we called to have this remedied and they addressed the issue within 20 minutes. In the past, I have been critical of the food in the Main Dinning Room, but this time we found the food to be very good. The menus provided many desirable options. To increase efficiency, the bread is now in bowls on the table (not served to you) and when you place your order you select all courses, including dessert. Steven (waiter) and Alexander (asst. waiter) provided outstanding service. While the first couple of nights we were the only people at a table of six, two ladies joined us at the table later in the week. The highlight of our dining experience in the main dining room was the food and great conversation with our table mates. We did elect to purchase a speciality dinning package (three dinners for $85 plus gratuities per person). Two dinners at the Chops Grill were excellent (great food and service). The third night we went to Sabor and the food was very good, especially the guacamole. The entertainment on the ship was very good. Our favorite shows were the Headliner Show featuring Earl Turner, the aerial show - Come Fly With Me, the aqua show - Oasis of Dreams, and the ice show - Frozen in Time. The Cats production show was disappointing as it was hard to follow and the too-loud background music made it hard to understand the singers. Also disappointing was the sports channels that were offered on the ship, especially on Saturday when only two college football games were shown. Both ESPN channels featured European sports. Since most of the people on the ship were from the southeastern states, a lot of people were disappointed that no SEC football games were available Below are a few of the things that we enjoyed the most and a few tips to use on the ship: Favorite sweets: coconut cookies, oatmeal cookies, carrot cake, and the Austrian fruit breakfast bread. Favorite places to enjoy the pool or escape the crowd to read or take a nap: on Deck 17 in the Solarium near the bar under the shade. Favorite way to start the day: On the treadmill in the gym as the sun comes up or on the walking track on Deck 5. We also enjoy sitting in the chairs on the back of the ship on Deck 5 when the ship is leaving port. Beverage Package: We purchased the soda package. The self-serve Coke machines provide endless drink options and the machines are located in the Windjammer (four), two on the Promenade, and a single machine on Deck 15 in the Arcade. Many passengers do not know about the machine on Deck 15, unless you go into the Arcade. Best way to avoid the wait for elevators before dinner: Either take the stairs or come down early for dinner and have a drink in the many bars or food areas on Deck 5. Read Less

This was our third time on Oasis of the Seas. Just the two of us in a Central Park balcony stateroom. Plenty big and the bed was very comfortable. We brought our Pride GoGo folding scooters with us but didn't use them for the cruise. Lots of room for storing them in our cabin beside the couch. Just needed them the week after while we were at Disney World. Our stateroom attendant, Humlyn was amazing. She kept our cabin clean, well stocked with towels and other essentials and most of all, she was so friendly and always smiling. Royal Caribbean gave us a few unexpected perks for staying in a Central Park cabin such as a bottle of red wine, chocolate strawberries and a complimentary lunch at Giovanni's. Nice touch Guest Services! Enjoyed "First Night Done Right" at Chops Grill. Well worth the bargain price of $20 each. Service was amazing and special thanks to our waiter Andrew who took such good care of us. We enjoy sitting on deck 16 in the Solarium because of the shade and the quiet atmosphere away from the crowds. Never had a problem finding a chair or lounge and the hot tubs and pool were enjoyed thoroughly by us through the week. We found the food to be excellent in both the American Icon dining room, the Park Café, Windjammers and the specialty restaurants. If the menu was not to our liking in the dining room, then we ate a few evenings in the Windjammer. Service was excellent and the staff really go out of their way to make sure you have beverages by delivering them to you instead of you having to leave the table to get them. That was a service much appreciated. We had a table for 2 in the American Icon dining room (my time dining) and so happy to be at table 135 because of our amazing head waiter Mario and his assistant Arvin. Treated us like royalty and they worked hard and service was fast. Lobster night was great and delicious. Of course we enjoyed the Royal Promenade with all the entertainment, shops and yes... food counters. Royal Caribbean has such great staff who always smile and make your vacation so special. The ship is starting to show her age but she is clean and you appreciate how hard everyone works. We are Diamond class and did enjoy the Diamond Lounge. Only wish I had was that the drinks would be available maybe an hour later than 8:00 pm and that mocktails would be included since I don't drink liquor or beer. I just had Diet Cokes for the week. Please remember that all cruise ships have good and bad issues so you should always keep an open mind when booking a cruise but certainly don't be afraid to book the Oasis or similar Royal Caribbean ships. You won't be disappointed. Hope this review is helpful. Read Less

When Royal Caribbean for the first time (with friends) Ship is very large. Easy to navigate around. They think of everyone aboard , Kids under 6 yrs have their own area, pools and play area. Food is some of the best I've had aboard a ship. I've been on many cruise's on other ship's. Servers are the best, they ask to help, even if in the buffet area, they'll get you any thing you may want, coffee, tea, juice or any thing else. Shows are the very best like Broadway shows, even the entertainment , such as piano bar, dance area's, Karaoke room was entertaining. Many things to do, never a down time. Very large Casino, table's for all type's of gamblers, big better's and those like me. Machines are much looser than most Casino's, Surprise . A seven day cruise seem's like a 3 day cruise. I am not in the habit of writing reviews. It was great. Read Less

We chose this cruise because we had children that went with us. We looked at some videos online and it seemed fun for them. Honestly once you got on there, there was not much to do. Once you have done everything you get kind of bored. For the children’s club they spent most of their time playing Gaga ball. Two of the kids had fun but my one child did not like Gaga ball therefor she did not like kids club so only go there if you like Gaga ball. She was in the 9-11 group. The shows on the ship were fantastic. The food was not too great on many occasions. The staff was very nice but the food was lacking in many areas. The buffet was not as good as on other ships and was very unorganized. Our cabins were very nice. The showers were a bit too small and my father could not fit in them. Once they turned our couch into a bed they did not change it back she we could not watch tv anymore without wanting to lay down. Overall the cruise was okay but it was very expensive, especially the drink package and overall was not what we expected. They raised our expectations a little too high. Overall I would not sod this cruise again and would instead to a smaller, cheaper ship that cost less but still gave the same things. Read Less

We picked this ship because it is really large. With our Star Class, getting on and off the boat was always easy. Our Genie took care of us so we waited very little. The ship has lots to do, is clean and absolutely beautiful. Our cabin was a suite. There are 2 suites bigger than ours but they don't sleep but 4 or 6. Ours sleeps 8 and was spacious. The views were great, the balcony was amazing and the service was above and beyond my expectations. Being Star Class definitely made us feel like Royalty! Your personal Genie caters to your every need. I had 4 fourteen year old boys and they had a blast. Plenty for them to do socially and they love sports. They were occupied at all times and I always felt they were safe and supervised. They loved the 24 hour room service! The entertainment was awesome. We saw Cats, the Aqua theater water show, the ice skating show, the comedy show and all of the bands and singers. We missed some shows, just ran out of time. All of the shows and bands were great! Some of our group did other events and loved them all. My husband played poker and gave it a big thumbs up. The staff at all levels are very accommodating and kind. They work hard and seem to be happy to serve. The food was delicious and we ate way too much! The shore excursions were typical. Ours was not described accurately for St. Thomas (said 2 beaches but was only 1 and rushed). It was snorkeling too and not many fish. Nassau at Atlantis is crowded and the rain closed it for a bit. But there is a beach and it has jet skis for rent and other water activities. St. Maarten was our best! Sea Trek and they threw in some snorkeling. We saw lots of fish there. Then we found a Zip line on our own afterwards that Royal Caribbean does not sell and it was the best of all. It was a zip line plus you could ride an inner tube down the mountain. Just need more time at all the stops. Typical for a cruise but there is always a rush and of course, lots of people. But everyone was friendly and we always felt safe. Bring cash off ship for extras! Jet skis Etc want cash. Read Less

Gilman and Ronald the table staff in the Grand dinning room at table 682 are the best I have ever had to wait on me. The presentation and the service of the food were always spot on. The Oasis of the Seas was amazing. What made it even better though, was most staff. Very friendly, welcoming staff that do everything in their power to help you and to help give you the best time on your vacation. My vacation will never be forgotten and neither will some of the staff. Both me and my girlfriend, had a great time aboard the ship and are definitely looking forward to booking our next cruise the Royal Caribbean once again. Dining service was fantastic and offered a semi-big selection. Staterooms were always kept clean and the attendant I had was beyond friendly and did a more than a fantastic job. Very pleased with the staff, however there were minor issues with a few elevators (skipped floor 6 all the time, and other times the elevator would skip right past our floor). The food in the windjammer could definitely get better as far as adding more flavor to the food. Pasta was undercooked a lot, and sometimes the food was cold or borderline. Pizza parlor on deck 5 was a amazing add on to the ship, however me and my girlfriend caught them undercooking some pizzas a lot of the time. (We only ate it when it was cooked completely) but it was delicious when we did get it! Read Less

My 65th Birthday celebration included my sister and five friends! I use a power wheelchair and had no problems getting on or off the ship! My cabin was completely accessible and I made full use of our private balcony. Dinner was scrumptious! French Onion Soup, steak and the best dark chocolate cake I ever tasted. The staff sang Happy Birthday. Our waiter Norrys was great! He was very attentive and so was Joel the drink server! On our last nightJoel performed magic tricks with napkins and Norrys played the guitar! We booked a different event each nite. I loved the musical Cats. We had facials in the Spa. I sang karaoke and my sister did too! Haiti was great! It was accessible! Lots of places to shop and a buffet for lunch was delicious. Jamaica was paradise! Ken's Wheelchair Tour was wonderful! Komoko Falls was terrific! It was very accessible. Beautiful flowers like Birds of Paradise and Orchids were everywhere. Lots of shops to buy souvenirs but, be careful prices are high. If you show interest but, walk away the price will come down. Kosumel was awesome! A beautiful peninsula with beautiful beaches! Arturo, our taxi driver took us to a wonderful places to shop. This was our 7th cruise on Oasis or Allure. Arrived at terminal around 10:30 Emerald Status, was ON ship before noon. Very easy process. Was eating lunch by 12:30. Roast beef sandwiches are still great. Luggage was in room by 2:30. Booked cruise 5 weeks before cruise. Made my time reservations on line for 5:00. Was able make reservations for all shows except comedy and aqua show. As soon as I got on ship made reservations for aqua and comedy shows, nobody in line that early. Later in day there were very long lines. All shows were good. Impact show was different from most shows I have seen. Drums, whips, Argentinean tap dancing, singing, you didn't fall asleep. Cats excellent, but I also believe it was too long. Yes, several people left at intermission as show was 2 1/2 hours or more. Come fly with me had lots of action on and above stage. NEGATIVE COMMENTS THAT I DID NOT AGREE WITH: 1.ship badly worn, stains all over, worn out furniture, Found ship very clean, almost never found trash in halls, you will always see a few stains as people carrying drinks do spill and can't be cleaned immediately. 2. Poor service due to workers being sent to new ships. Dining room wait staff could never be better. Food kept coming with no delays. Water, tea, drinks never made it to half full, constant refilling. Windjammer buffet, food was always at right temperature, tables continually cleaned as fast as you finished a plate. 3.Had cabin 14154 front of ship near kids area and below solarium. People said it would be very noisy, kids running around, noise from solarium, rough ride due to being on front of ship and on deck 14. Found none of those problems, wood book that room again. 4.Other than sea days no problem getting deck chairs. Yes chairs were saved with towels. I put my towels down at 8:00, ate breakfast with no lines and came back to pool by 9:00. Those who got up at 10:00 had to wait in long buffet lines, and yes did find it hard to get chairs close to pool. Most of chair hog chairs were unused while the complainers were sleeping. Chair police came around twice due to a couple of people complaining. One woman told security that she put a scarf and towel down 15 minutes before and someone took her chair. Ten of us were sitting beside and across from that seat for the previous two hours, she had never been to that chair but swore she saved it. Get up a little early for no lines for buffet and a pool seat. 5. Dining room food bad, cold, poor service. Found food always at proper temperature and cooked just the way you ordered it. Met all my requests. Cold soup was only on menu one day. I asked if chef could find some for me even though not on menu and found it every night. House salad was not on menu many nights, but had chef make it any time we asked. No problem getting double lobsters, double lamb chops, double lamb shank, 5 appetizers. Never questioned anything you ordered, and brought to you very quickly. Never rushed.. 6.Cardboard pizza. No, it wasn't your hometown pizza shop, but hey, as a quick snack, it was ok. Toppings changed daily, it was always hot, never sitting around. People fail to mention an antipasto salad bar to the left of pizza line. Very few seemed to even notice it was there. It was a very good side dish with pizza. Disembark was smooth until after getting luggage. As usual not enough customs workers. If you want to save a lot of waiting in line get a porter after getting luggage, they go to front of line. Overall a great cruise. Read Less

We are becoming very loyal RC cruisers, this was our third. The Oasis is a beautiful ship loaded with everything needed for a great vacation. Our room was comfortable (interior), kept neat & clean by an attendant who not only managed our room nicely, created novelty towel creations, was very personalable;it was very nice to be greeted by our names when we saw him in the hallway. The food & service in the main dining room was, as always, excellent! It was very nice to have a few smaller restaurants for breakfast & lunch... we enjoyed the park cafe in the Central Park area, really enjoyed having lunch in the park. The entertainment was very good, the diving show, the high flying show, & El Gaucho were exceptional! It was good to see staff making sure that the chaise lounges rules were being followed so that towels vacant chairs were removed after 30 min of vacancy. Departure was a see less procedure, it took us a total of 35 min to carry out our bags, go thru customs, find our shuttle & arrive at our car... best departure we’ve had so far. We had an amazing vacation on the Oasis and while in the future, we would prefer to return to Holland America, we would sail on Oasis again. We spent two days in Cocoa Beach staying at the Residence Inn prior to our cruise. We loved the hotel and enjoyed exploring. We did have some issues returning our rental car at Hertz due to the office closing early without notification, however the office took care of it competently after a nerve wracking night. We enjoyed motorized paddleboats/ kayaking, mini golfing, and sightseeing while in Cocoa Beach. We also had a great key lime pie from the Key Lime Pie company. Embarcation was very stressful and our biggest complaint with the cruise. Staff at the port would not allow us to stay with my handicapped parents through the security line. We were told we could meet them on the other side of security. After waiting in line, we went through security. My parents were nowhere to be seen. They would not allow us to linger in the security area and were told that they had already gone ahead. We progressed to the boarding area, asking multiple times about my parents. We were told they had already boarded the ship. We insisted they would not have boarded without us and asked them to check that their cards had been scanned in. They refused and told us we needed to continue on to the ship. We refused and my husband went back to look for them. He was told he would need to go through security again. At this point 30 minutes had passed. Just before he left the boarding room, he met up with them arriving in the boarding room. They had just left security. Security had put my 80 and 90 year old parents through hell, including searches, removing all labeled medications, etc from their bags, and accusing them of hiding a bomb in their nebulizer which had an md script attached to it. Stressed and exhausted, we finally boarded the ship. We were delayed in boarding at this point, so we decided to go to the Solarium for lunch. We were able to get a table for 6 and the adults enjoyed the lunch. Our two children did not so we did not return. We spent the remainder of the afternoon exploring the ship, swimming, registering the kids for teen club, and unpacking 5 of 6 suitcases. The 6th suitcase was finally found by my husband at 7:30 that night sitting in a hallway on deck 6. We ate dinner in the Main Dining Room that night and met our great servers: IMade and Maryna. They were both wonderful and we ended up cancelling other reservations to eat there every night but one, We loved the meals, although we did get a little bored with broccoli and carrots. The one other night, we ate at Giovanni's. We had a complimentary meal from our travel agent. Great food and the only night we over ate. They said lasagna is now available every night even though it is not on the menu. This was another challenge with seniors. They could not see or hear anything in the restaurants, it was too dark and loud. Breakfasts and lunches at Sabor, Johnny Rockets, and the Windjammer were all fine as long as we ate early. Later in the day, crowds and lines would build and tables for 6 were a challenge. We enjoyed all the entertainment. Our showing of Oasis of Dreams was cancelled and the rescheduled time was during dinner. We made dinner without trouble however, as we saw a shortened show. We were able to see the full version later in the week and it was amazing. My favorite was the skating show. It is amazing that they can do that on ice. We spent many nights in the Jazz club and piano bar. The pools were chilly all week but still crowded on the warmer of the 2 sea days. There was always room in a hot tub. Even going up to the pool deck at 9:30 on the sea, it was impossible to find loungers together. Our teens made friends their first night at Teen club. There were over 1000 teens on the cruise. My two children were upset they divided teen club into two groups. My 15 year old daughter would meet friends outside of the teen club. My 13 year old son, ended up going to teen club multiple times, participating in activities and playing video games. In Labadee, we rented a bungalow. We really enjoyed it. In Falmouth, we walked around the port and shopped and then reboarded the ship. In Cozumel, we went on a great private excursion with Cozumel Cruise Excursions.net. We had a great day and saw a good portion of the islands without crowds. Disembarcation was better than embarcation, however we were again separated from my parents at the the elevators. They again would not allow us to gather to meet at the base of the elevators. This time, my husband insisted on going with my parents and we reconnected by calling on our cell phones. We concluded our vacation with a great Royal Caribbean tour to Kennedy Space Center and airport drop-off. We had a very early departure time, but then sat on the bus for an hour waiting to leave. The tour was great and we made it to the airport on time. MCO is a mess at the ticketing area right now. Overall, we had a great time, but it is a big ship for seniors with difficulty on the elevators for someone in a wheelchair. Read Less

I generally look to book on one of the Oasis class ships because of the amenities and the Coastal Kitchen experience. The staff and crew were wonderful, the food as good as I've ever had, and the Loft Suite I booked exceeded all expectations. Being a frequent cruiser, I only left the ship briefly in Jamaica and Cozumel, choosing to spend the bulk of the time in port enjoying the quiet of an almost empty ship. Although the ship has almost 10 years on her, there's little sign of wear and tear. Oasis has certainly aged gracefully and the staff and crew have only gotten better over the years. The Port Canaveral terminal is modern, clean, and the staff at check in, efficient and quite pleasant. I ate 5 of the nights in one of the speciality restaurants and two in Coastal Kitchen. The food and the service for the most part, wonderful. If I could complain about anything, it would be the long lines at guest services. There were always delays getting to a service person. We have been on an Oasis back to back cruise before and decided that we'll take a one week cruise on the Oasis again while we're in Florida. The ship is beautiful and the service is great too. Having been on many RCCL cruises, we found that the food was better than most of the cruises we've been on. You never felt crowded at the buffet or when looking for a chaise lounge. If there is one complaint it is the shows. Although I tried to book a night for the comedy show several weeks prior to our cruise, it was filled. After we got on the ship we also were not able to get to see the comedy show. The broadway production of "CATS" was OK but too long. It lasted over 2 hours. The costumes and set design for the show were superb. "Come Fly with me" was our favorite show - very entertaining. All in all, the performers for all the shows were very talented. Read Less

This was absolutely the best ocean cruise we've ever had. Normally, we prefer River Cruises, but this ship may change our minds about that in the future. We booked this trip without knowing anything about the ship. What a pleasant, wonderful surprise we received. Great entertainment (which included a Broadway worthy performance of "Cats" which was amazing as was everything else we saw on ship. All our dining experiences were wonderful and delicious...particularly "Chops Grille", one of the specialty restaurants. Our cabin had a balcony and, although not a suite, was spacious enough for us and my husband's rental scooter. We loved sitting out on our balcony in the evenings with a glass of wine. The staff on board are tremendous...friendly, accommodating and able to solve any problem that may arise. We weren't interested in going on shore. BUT, there was Soooo much to do we could not experience everything available. Can't wait to sail the "Oasis of the Sea" again. If those reading this would like to view the ship, please go to YouTube and type in "Oacis of the Sea". One of the passengers on our cruise filmed the entire ship and explains all the available things to see and do Read Less

My wife paid for this cruise through her work. It was a great cruise, huge ship & lots to do. The ship was beautiful. Our room was bigger than we thought it would be, plus a balcony over Central Park. Only con, the bed was a little hard but got used to it. The food at Chop's Grill was fantastic. The free meals at Central Café & Windjammer was very good. The staff everywhere was great. We even got to meet & talk to the Captain twice in the hallways. Our room attendant cleaned our room twice a day. And at night made animals out of towels & put it on our bed, also turned it down. There was over 6,000 guests & 2,000 employees on the ship. It really was never that crowded. Going to be talking to my wife's kids about our next cruise. Can't wait for the next cruise. Read Less

we had a great time on our latest cruise vacation. even though the weather was not great the whole cruise, the staff were very attentive and our dining staff were the best we have experienced in many years. the shows were very professional, Kat's was not my favorite but the performance was as you would expect in a west end or broadway show, excellent. royal Caribbean always provides a great cruise experience and we intend to take many more cruises with them. our cabin staff did an excellent job keeping the stateroom clean and tidy. the balcony over the Central Park offered a great view and comfortable experience. even though there were over 6,000 guest on board we did not feel overcrowded. the bars were always comfortable and the staff were always attentive and pleasant. I enjoyed the extra food stations with the pizza, hot dogs and ice cream, great for small snacks during the day or late after the nightclubs. Read Less

This was a restful and FUN vacation. We slept great on our balcony stateroom queen/king bed and had a totally remarkable steward, Butch, to keep our room perfectfully. He must never sleep because each time we returned, he had been inside to tidy up. The Grand dining, main dining room, was lovely. Our food was delicious and could not have been better. The service from Kumarun our waiter and helper Edi was just fabulous! We ate breakfast almost every day in the Solarium and had lunch in the Windjammer. Food each place was so GOOD! How others could report that there was food not up to par is beside me....ALL OF IT WAS GOOD and if you didn't like the selection just tell someone and another selection would appear. The ports were enjoyable but were still not back after the Hurricanes. St Thomas had so many telephone poles to install, it will take weeks and weeks of labor. BOth St Thomas and Puerto Rico (San Juan) showed the wrath of the storms and most of each island (including St Johns) did not have power all these weeks later (12/25/2017). Our cab driver in San Juan said they had been promised before but were "supposed" to have power available 12/23. Hopefully it did happen for them. The ship is beautiful. The superior balcony room is nice but the very smallest stateroom we have ever had. Be sure to take a hanging cosmetic bag for the bathroom as space for bath items is sparse. The shower IS small but works fine with great spray and hot water always available. The shows were superior. We enjoyed the water show at the acquadic center especially and also our second comedian. The theatre is lovely and comfortable, but do arrive early for your reservation. The Solarium seating area for sunbathing was so very nice and we usually had no problem finding a chair, but chair hogs totally exist. Enjoy your cruise....IT WAS FUN! Everyone gripes about lines...NO PROBLEM...they don't exist! The Acupuncturist was exceptional, Dr. Arun..he really helped my pain level. Be sure to check your pricing at the Spa..check the actual receipts as the discount percentage must be checked. Out of seven visits, I had one 100% correct, however, they do adjust them and you have to check only with spa personnel for that. Read Less

Although the Oasis is a huge ship that carries more than 6,000 passengers, it seldom felt overcrowded to our group of twenty. How the cruise line manages that many people, I don’t know, but they do an excellent job. If you are concerned about crowds or long lines, choose venues that are not so crowded. For example, avoid eating at the Windjammer at peak hours and make reservations online before the cruise for the shows offered. Don’t miss the stand up comedy, Fly With Me, or the Oasis of Dreams. (Cats was being performed during our cruise, but no one in our large group was able to sit through the entire production). We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and traveled with a group of family and friends, all wanting a different experience on this cruise. For the older group, the solarium was a favorite place to hang out. Several whirlpools, a small buffet and complete bar provides a quieter venue. For our 18 to 24 year old crowd, basketball, ping pong, rock climbing, surfing and dancing until the wee hours of the morning keep them happy the entire week. In the dining room, the staff quickly became “family”. Our dining room server Roella told us on day one to let her know what we wanted or if we didn’t like something, so she could fix it. She was true to her word and our nightly dining experiences were terrific. The ship is just starting to show a little wear and tear in the cabins, but the public areas of the ship are well cared for and the ship appeared clean at all times. Many in our group participated in a variety of shore excursions, with the active ones being enjoyed more (snorkeling, zip lining) and the excursions involving long travel times less enjoyable ( seeing ruins in Cozumel). A few in our group chose to stay on the ship at several ports and enjoyed the peace and quiet and empty pools and jogging track. All in all, this cruise was an excellent choice for our diversified group and was enjoyed by all. We can’t wait to cruise again. Read Less
