For some relaxation and fun in the sun. And to swim with the dolphins, and to shop in the ports. The dolphin swim groups were too large and you were only able to stand there and most of the interaction was with the handler and the dolphin. I thought it to be very expensive to only touch a dolphin, and watch it perform while we stood in water not quite waist deep. I found the handler very bossy and almost rude. I for one would never pay that again. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our cruise experience. The staff was always very helpful especially our dining waiters and our cabin attendant was a wonderful gentleman who loved to surprise us each night with our towel critters. Our cabin was always neat and clean,,Leslie for 11296 was a gem. Speaking of gems,, then you have Michael and Megan, they were exceptional at their jobs,,and yes we bought a lovey ring,,or so,,lol I for one learned a lot more about what I wear in jewelry. Thanks to them both. Read Less

My wife and I have sailed more than 60 times... This includes the Oasis-6 times... The Allure 6 times and are sailing on the Allure again May 28th and October 1st... We also sailed on the Harmony this past November and are scheduled to sail on the Synphony in 2018... The big ships are outstanding... The entertainment is outstanding... The menu selection offers many choices... Most important on this cruise the service in the main dining room was outstanding.... Because we travel so many times we rarely get off of the ship... There is just so much to do on-board and we just injoy being totally relaxed.... Our choice of stateroom is usually over the board walk... We enjoy watching the activity below and get to see the movies and water shows... We also have enjoyed the quiet of Central Park.... Many have asked why we chose not to stay in a state room over looking the water and the reason is we live in Florida and live right on the water... Read Less

The service was wonderful. We had a great time. The shows were great the adult programming was wonderful the adult solarium was a great place to relax we love the schooner bar and also we love the rising tide bar. I've been on several world Caribbean cruises and I love the oasis class it has everything you want and more to do. Plus there are so many places to eat on the ship so you don't have to only eat in the Windjammer you can eat all over the ship we hardly ever ate in the Windjammer and ate all of the ship and had great food. There are so many choices for breakfast and lunch so you don't have to only go to one place if you're looking for a lot of fun we are looking for a place with a lot of choices the oasis class is the best for you Read Less

We went with 16 family members on this ship last June. Loved that trip as well. Had to return as a couple, without our kids and grandkids, to enjoy on our own. Loved it! So much to do and enjoy. Great staff. Delicious meals. Quiet and comfortable room. We enjoyed the Central Park area on the ship the most. Beautiful evening performances outside in the delightful breezes. Trees, shrubs and even orchids all over. Wonderful atmosphere! The bars such as Dazzles has talented entertainers. The shows are fun and memorable. The spa was right around the corner from our cabin. Spa massage was excellent and professional. Dr. gave good info on services that could help arthritis and other ailments. Easy to get to exercise equipment. Solarium area just for adults was lovely. Ports were clean and their were safeguards to be sure we had good experiences with locals. Royal Caribbean does a fabulous job ensuring your enjoyment. Read Less

Everything was perfect. Looking forward to our next cruise on Royal Caribbean. We were most impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the crew -- at all levels on the Oasis of the Seas. 1. Our stateroom attendant for JS-14636 was very helpful. He went out of his way in satisfying all of our needs (and did so with a smile on his face). 2. We had the 5:30PM seating in the Grande Dining Room (Deck 4 - Table 513). Special thanks go to our Head Waiter, our Waiter and our Assistant Waiter. They all did an outstanding job. We do have a complaint however dealing with TV channels. There are very limited TV channels that cover news, especially USA news. The majority of cruisers departing from USA ports reside in the USA, and would prefer more USA news. I miss the old days when RCI carried the FOX News Channel. Please bring back the FOX News Channel. As a minimum, please substitute the USA version of CNN when ships depart from USA ports. Read Less

This ship is awesome and everyone should experience it at lease once in a lifetime but.....be prepared. This ship will cost you! Not only for your cruise but almost everything you do on it! 1. I did not like having to make reservations for show's. It would be so much better if you could just go to the show when you feel like it. When you are making the reservations, you have no way of knowing how your day is going to go and then your committed to a show that night and can't make it up another night. That's a real bummer. 2. I did not like having an 8:00 dinner when all the drawings and things were done at that time. It really was not fair to those diners. Come-on RC..... I know you can do better! 3. $$$ and more $$$ everything is going to cost you more money! Almost nothing is free on this trip. We spent as much on our sail pass as the tickets. Shame on you RC! 4. Drinks..... really.... I almost became dehydrated because of the small cups and watered down tea - crappy lemon aide, Water and coffee that would put hair on the chest of an infant. There really was nothing unless you wanted to pay out the wazzzooo. At least let us bring something on board that we can drink out of. 5. Games??? What are those?? Things that people play when on board. The Bingo was overpriced. Trivia was lame. What happened to all the fun games that you normally enjoy on cruises. 6. Don't let them know if you have any allergies to foods. I told them about mine and found out that they have the assistant chef's make the food in the morning then it sits all day waiting for your dinner. No wonder mine was cold EVERY night! 7. It was not all bad. We made great friends onboard and had a great time in spite of RC. Read Less

Wanted to try Oasis Class ship since we have sailed on all the other class ships. Easy to navigate, only crowds encountered were at the Windjammer. Not really a problem since the food was too bad to deserve a return trip. Dining room service and Coastal Kitchen service was exceptional, as well as the bar service in the Suite Lounge. Performane of 'Cats was perfection. Absolutely the best Broadway production that we have ever seen on a cruise., As a suite guest, embarking and disembarking was a breeze. Getting through the herd of cars with stop and go travic at 11:00 am was definitely not a breeze. Total chaos with criss-cross lanes and impatient drivers. We had already visited the ports of call several times in the past, so we chose not to leave the ship on port days, affording us the luxury of the cabanas in the reserved seating area on deck 17, another Sky Class perk. Would certainly cruise on the Oasis again, probably next year. Love port Canaveral. Read Less

We are loyal to Royal Caribbean...always great service...from beginning of booking to last day departing... Oasis is a beautiful ship, lots to do, lots to enjoy, shows are wonderful....Service is Excellent . We were surprised they are charging for room service. We always like to have breakfast on the balcony at least once or twice.. We are also Diamond Members and again we were bypassed on the amenities.....normally something in our room when we check in and also normally a plate of goodies is delivered from the chef during the week....We were bypassed on both, did go to Guest Services and a plate of Chocolate Covered Strawberries was brought to our room the afternoon of the last day... This happened on our last cruise too.....We love the Casino, but missed the double points sometimes given on at sea days when you use the slots in the morning. All in all, it was a great cruise as all RC cruises are...Currently looking for a 5-7 deal this summer, besides the Cuba cruises out of Tampa...Sure hate to go on a different cruise line....Hopefully something will pop us soon.... Room, and Dinning are excellent and we just keep on coming back. The pool was too cold to stay in more then 10-15 seconds which kept the hot tubs full when ever not in a port of call. Suites are nice and comfortable with lots of room, ship amenities are far beyond all the other cruise lines, decor and innovation again has RCL at the top. We enjoyed having Johnny Rockets on board to breakup meals. Food, number of available places and times to eat are exceptional as are the speciality dinning (albeit a bit too pricey at $50 per-person). This was our 8th cruise and while onboard we booked an Alaskan Cruise and save some money. RCL is always our first choice for cruising and their ships are just plain better looking and have way more things to see and do. Getting on and off ship in Port Canaveral is easy and took about 20 minutes from checkin to getting on the ship. Parking is covered and right next to the port facility making for a very short walk. We chose this cruise because it was a large newer large ship leaving from Orlando/Port Canaveral. Getting on and off the ship went quicker than expected. It took a little less than a hour for both. The ship was beautiful. You had to find the space that you liked best by exploring the ship early on. There is a place for everyone, you just have to go out there and find it. Cats was long so I would recommend going to a earlier show so you can make it through the second act. All the other shows were very, very good, favorite was Ice Skating Show. The track on deck 5 was great for walking/running. Elevators on the solarium side of the boat seamed to be less busy. The 70's party was fun if you like that type of music. Watch the morning show on TV to find out whats going on every day. Bring a highlighter marker to mark things you want to do everyday. That way you wont miss something you really wanted to see. We wanted to try out one of the BIG ships and were pleasantly surprised. The first day dinner was very busy and the Windjammer was packed with folks for the first breakfast. We decided early on to checkout other places on ship for breakfast. Our only tip would be to be sure and make reservations for dinner times and show times before you sail. As an alternative to the Windjammer which got really crowded at times, we enjoyed the Solarium Bistro for breakfast, lunch and dinner one night. It was amazing that so many people were on the ship but there never was a long wait for an elevator. Central Park was amazing and the whole ship was nice just to stroll thru. Only negative thought was to be sure and check your final bill. We didn't look closely enough until we got home and had been charged $50 for pool towels which were returned the day of use. Read Less

Best food, Most entertainment and activities, outstanding shore excursions and wonderful friendly and courteous staff. Every eating place is good. You can not go wrong by booking a cruise on this Ship. There is something to do for any age group. Lots of sport activities to keep those teenagers busy. We enjoyed watching the youth and young adults try their athletic ability at knee boarding and surfing. There is a full length basketball court where all ages can exercise and meet new people while playing one of the beloved American sports. The court is converted into a soccer court to give others a chance to show their expertise in this sport. Family sports such as miniature golf, table tennis, arcade games renew those family rivalries For those who may like a little less activity, one can choose to see a popular play like "Cats" or one of the Royal Caribbean's own productions. Don't miss Dream Works that takes place at the Aqua Theater where world renown divers and swimmers have their own production in the pool. Both a thrilling and elegant performance by all. All the cafes and restaurants we visited were excellent. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection. Servers were fast and friendly service. There were numerous excursions offered for you to choose from each day we docked at a port. One of my favorites was at Laradee Haiti where the Royal Caribbean has leased this peninsula and developed it into a world of activities. A private beach, local crafts, zip lines, wave runners. boat tours. parasailing and much more. By far if you have not sailed on the Royal Caribbean you have not sailed on the top cruise line of this century. Read Less

My wife and I choose this cruise because we have family in Orlando, FL. It allows us to visit them for a couple of days and then get out of the City and do something different that going to Entertainment Parks. No more Disney parks for me. It was very convenient to take the ship in Cape Canaveral. Regarding the cruise, we really enjoyed the travel and the experience. I have been in the past in the east side of the Caribbean with Royal Caribbean as well and was really anxious to visit other islands in the west side. Being in a big ship like this one, during Spring Break Week, with 6,000 passengers and 2,000 cruise members is like going to "Las Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastian" in Puerto Rico. It was crowded! Specially the first day. We arrived by 1:30pm. The embarkation line was long but it was moving fast. Don't know why it took soo much time for the Check-In process? Anyways, it took us like one hour to get inside the ship. As you can imagine, everyone was like crazy discovering this amazing ship. After the first day, it was okay with the exception of long lines to get into the Windjammer for breakfast. Later we discovered that you can eat breakfast in one of the dining rooms when the ship is in an ocean cruising day. Regarding the cabin, we selected one with Ocean View and Balcony. It was kind of chilly for us but is a very relaxing experience. Cabin was well cleaned and maintained. For Dinner, we selected the three nights dining experience. I really liked the quality and taste of my steak at Chops Grille. We also went to Izumi's Japanese and to the Italian Giovanni's. Rest of the days we went to the Main Dining Room. Menu choices were good. Entertaiment. Well, we are not big fans of Musicals but decided to saw CATS and another one called Come Fly with Me. These are more oriented to the Americans and British aboard the cruise. We really enjoyed the Latin Group playing at Bolero's and the Philippine Group playing at Dazzles. Regarding the onshore excursions, we selected the Yaaman 3-in-1 tour in Jamaica and the Tulum ruins in Mexico. These were more oriented to empty nesters like us. I don't know why this ship stop at Cozumel if all the tours are in Playa del Carmen and neighbored areas. Anyways, the 90 minutes ferry ride from and to the boat is for me a waste of valuable time. The Yaaman Tour in Jaimaca was really fun and we enjoyed a lot! Will I go again in this exact Cruise? Probably with a small group but will choose my shore activities more wisely. Read Less

Beautiful ship, just too big to be very personal. Was disappointed in our table at evening dining. We were hoping to be at a large table so we could meet new friends, instead the four of us was at a small crowded table in behind a wall. We were celebrating our son and wife's 36th wedding anniversary and I told the ship about it before boarding, but they did nothing. The food service was great but need more variety in the dining room. I was amazed how 6500 people was serviced all of that food. The crew did a wonderful job with the cabins everything was very clean and in place. We all enjoyed the Come Fly with me show and the diving show, lots of talent. We would cruise on the Oasis of Sea again with out hesitation. The pilot did a wonderful job and it was easy to forget that you were on a cruise ship. Read Less

Arrival and departure were a breeze in spite of large number of passengers. Our Grand Suite was delightful, large, with plenty of storage. The spacious bathroom had two sinks, tub with handheld shower, and a generous supply of towels. Our server in the MD could not have been more helpful, always explaining choices and serving with her nice smile. The staff was cheery, we were seated quickly, and everyone was having a really good time. Of course, the specialty dining offered a more relaxed experience. The servers extremely professional and willing to take time to chat and share information. We ate at Giovanni's, Chops, 150 Park Avenue and will continue to do this in the future as we have on all of our RCL cruises. It is our vacation, after all and something we look forward to each and every day. The Aqua and Ice Shows are beyond description. One must see these amazing shows firsthand to really appreciate the talent and outstanding imagination we viewed. Totally breathtaking. This was my second time ziplining in Labadee. It was on my 75 year old friend's bucket list so I was happy to join her. We were thrilled and still grin every time we share the adventure with friends. The ship's zip line was fun but a little restrictive due to the fact we were zipping over the ship's interior, fun nevertheless. The entire staff from the captain to our wonderful cabin steward Nelson did everything possible to make our vacation memorable and enjoyable! Read Less

The Oasis of the Seas is a magnificent ship that everyone in their lifetime should experience. The crew was friendly, professional and provided outstanding service especially in the American Icon restaurant. We had a superior balcony stateroom which was smaller than I was used to on Holland America ships. The bathroom is very small but functional even for a 6 foot 5 inch tall 300 pound guy like myself. However, I will upgrade to a Junior suite on my next cruise but will definitely sail on either the Oasis of the Seas or the Allure of the Seas ships. I found the volume of the music in Dazzles, Opal Theater, and Studio B to be a bit LOUD especially when you can feel the bass sound beating on your chest. I will bring earplugs next time so I can appreciate the entertainment better. Their is a mistake on the license plate map of the United States in the American Icon restaurant. See attached photo. I compared it against the other seven maps and it is the only one. Hint, check the state of Nevada. Read Less

We have a large family and all 24 of us went on the Oasis of the Seas. It was totaly awesome in so many ways, but the one thing that made it the best cruise EVER for one of our grandsons is that he is a Special Needs child with Spina Biffida and cannot walk. He has always wanted to be able to ride the flow rider like his brothers and sisters. One of the sports staff members (Rocky) actually got on the board with him so he could ride. Then the second time he stood beside him and it allowed him to ride on his own. That one event alone made the entire cruise worth the cost. Also the putt-putt course on the Oasis in flat enough that he was able to play from his wheelchair. Our only bad experience was with the photo staff. We had pre-arranged and paid for a private photo session due to such a large family. We also had numerous other picture taken all around the ship as well as on land. When we went to choose our package we were told we could NOT combine the pictures takes by the photographer of our private session with the pictures taken by the other ships photographers on and off the ship. They made us by two separate packages. Read Less

It didn't seem overcrowded and there was plenty to do onboard, even on at sea days. Embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze. I would recommend carrying OFF your own luggage its simple and faster that way. Our cabin was mid ship both top to bottom and forward and aft and having the balcony to sit out on was lovely. Meals were outstanding and food selection offered much variety. The entertainment was good, we didn't do it all because it was March Madness and we are huge college basketball fans. I would suggest making reservations for entertainment options before arriving onboard. I've seen others write that it felt like a time share experience; I didn't get that feeling at all, and we have timeshare. I guess its personal choice, but I prefer the eastern Caribbean. Read Less

We had a group of 26 on this cruise celebrating birthdays (2 70th birthdays) and one 50th anniversary! We had the time of our lives just attending the shows, which were amazing, and enjoying ourselves! We went to our favorite restaurant, Pancho's Backyard, for lunch while we were in Cozumel. We have actually been to Pancho's at least five times in the past year. The ship, Oasis of the Seas, is fantastic, the crew is great and we loved all the shows! The food is very good in both the wyndjammer and the main dining room. Specialty dining at Chops is always a pleasure and the staff members are great. We had 3 bottles of champagne and 3 birthday and anniversary cakes! Would recommend traveling on the Oasis of the Seas but you might want to avoid the Spring Breakers - a lot of teenagers and children! They were not a problem but just a lot of them. Read Less

Chose this trip because people we travel with wanted to try a large ship. 1. Embarkation was quick and smooth. (We are Diamond Plus so it is easier on us now.) 2. It is a big ship and had good entertainment, but we truly like the smaller ships with fewer people better. 3. Our cabin was fine. We spent less time on our balcony this trip due to the windy weather, but everything was clean and in good order. 4. The food was just a little better than average for the most part. Chops (a specialty restaurant) was excellent! We didn't care for the Windjammer since the food seemed to be scattered all over the place, not really organized and not as good as we remember from smaller ships. We ate in restaurants most of the time, which we liked better. 3. The service was excellent. Our cabin attendant always had everything done and was wonderful about getting something we needed. In the dining room our waiters were right there for our every need and if we had a show scheduled, they made sure we were served in plenty of time to make it. 4. Entertainment was very good. We really enjoyed the ice show and CATS was of Broadway calibre. 5. We did personal tours to see an overview of the islands since we prefer a fewer number of people than those tours on the big busses provided by RCCL. Good weather and good tour guides made for good days. We will cruise again with RCCL, but have chosen a smaller ship for our next cruise. Read Less

Royal Caribbean is our cruise line of choice. We wanted to be within a reasonable driving distance from NC. Wanted to experience this larger ship. With the large amount of passengers, we were expecting a long embarkation. Pleasantly surprised as to how well this was accomplished. The same surprise was for the disembarkation. Both went very well. Once on board, we stopped at the information desk to obtain a deck plan and began to familiarize ourselves with the ship. This takes a bit of studying as the ship is so large. Even with the huge amount of passengers, we did not feel overwhelmed. Had requested a salt free diet when booking the trip. This was not a problem. After the 1st dinner the head waiter would bring us the menu for the following day and we could make our selections & the next days food would be prepared with no salt. Didn't take any shore excursions. Stayed on the ship in Nassau as we have been there a few times and wanted to explore more of the ship. In St. Thomas took a taxi to Coki beach and snorkeled. Beach is smaller than Magen's Bay but the snorkeling was much better. In St. Maarten took a taxi to Orient Beach. It was more difficult to snorkel because of the rough sea. The seas on the ship were rough for a few evenings so the Aqua show couldn't happen until the last day at sea. The CATS performance was astounding as the seas were quite rough. The Headliner show was great. The Ice Show and Aerial Show were very entertaining. It is a wonder how these performers and proceed with these show on rough seas. There was always something to keep you busy if you wanted to be busy. The Central Park & Boardwalk area of the ship is lovely, except when it rained but Central Park had umbrellas for your use. Convenience: Port Canaveral within easy 1/2 day drive from home. We have usually cruised with Princess before, though we have tried others. This was first, and probably last, on Royal Caribbean. Customer service was poor; website very hard to navigate; info about tours very scanty and hard to come by. But mainly we felt the entire cruise was an effort by Ship's Company to gouge very nickel out of every pocket. Most on-board activities had to do with selling; prices for drinks were WAY higher than others; costs for specialty restaurants were double others; and above all that the sense was that all they wanted to do was SELL, SELL, SELL and rake in the money.
