Good service but terrible food quality. Overall a very average experience!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Looks like there has been one cut too many. Poor food presentation. Most food arrived cold and menu items unavailable or incorrect in main dining room. Quality of food was terrible. School dinners are better on most days. Even specialty restaurants struggle to provide a reasonable standard of food. 150 Central Park was the best experience on board but Chops Grill has fallen into obscurity. ...

Below are the comments I sent to RC about our recent cruise on the Oasis. I think that it contains important things to know before booking. |During the production show "Come Fly with Me", my husband was in the front row and the blond flying acrobat flew off the stage into him. We are very upset that no one came to insure my husband was okay or uninjured. (He has a massive bruise on his shin.) ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

This ship is way too big for the crew to adequately serve the guests. It is like being trapped on a floating combination zoo/theme park. The addition of all the specialty restaurants seems to have impacted the quality of the food in the dining room (encouraging you to eat out?). With all the lines and crowds one is tempted to just stay in the cabin - only the movie selection is horrible, so that ...

This was our 34th cruise with RCCL. We have very high expectations from this cruise line as we are Crown & Anchor society members. Well after this cruise last week, we were extremely dissappointed. The Oasis which we have been on several times lacked enthusiasm from the staff. The food was no longer a thrill. Unless you wanted to pay additional for Filet Mignon and Lobster you had substandard food ...

Mega ship cruising

Because we live in Cocoa Beach/Melbourne area and wanted to try a mega ship cruise. We concluded that is not for us. We prefer Celebrity for the size and design of the ships we have been on. We will never go back on huge ships again. The Oasis' design is such that Central Park is open air. When it rains, people cannot go there and they are jammed packed in other venues. Not for me. We are ...

Decided to propose and get a fancy suite for the occasion. The strawberries and champagne were to arrive night one at 8pm. After it got to be 8:30, I called room service and they indicated they would call back. Never heard back. When I spoke with concierge the next day, they said I requested for the following day. After I showed my email with the correct date, didn’t even receive an apology. ...

Loyal Royal carribean travellor who is disappointed in many aspects of there service, cost cutting in simple luxuries no chocolates on pillows, now getting many items pre packaged not fresh, dining room staff only interested in survey satisfaction scores, food Luke warm and bland, waiters wanted us to order all 3 courses on an evening, when I prefer to order desert after main course. Oasis is ...

We have been sailing on Royal Caribbean for many years and have always had a great time! Here are a few of the troubling things that we encountered on this recent cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. 1) Our cabin steward was very pleasant however for a newer ship we found the sofa to be very worn and stained. 2) The Toilet had a black moldy ring around the water line that could be removed with ...

A cruise I'd like to forget!

A group of seven family and friends traveled to destinations we had not yet been on aboard a ship that we had not yet traveled. The positives were that there are some beautiful areas on the ship to visit and the shows were wonderful. The negatives were rude customer service reps that were unable to address problems. Bar experiences were quite lacking and the drinks ordered were not great. Phones ...

Biggest ship in the world, biggest disappointment as well...

We were super excited about going on the biggest ship in the world (it was when we booked it, then the Symphony came along and ruined that plan :) ) I had written a nice long review about the ship and its features but opted for an easier to read version. The boat is huge but still crowded. there aren't enough seats inside to house everyone at night, especially if its raining and the aqua ...
