Where was the entertainment?

I must tell you the few shows that were done were very good. However, having shows on two different stages of the ship cancelled early in the cruise was plainly unacceptable. Technical difficulties on two different stages with mechanical issues was disappointing. We commend the cruise and entertainment staff attempting to substitute for the show cancellations but we found their adhoc pieces ...

RC fell flat on this one

We have gone on several RC cruises before and have loved all of them. This one, not so much. Pros: The food was very good, although the food on the smaller ships has been better Wait staff was excellent with the exception of one night. If you enjoy the rock climbing walls, flowriders, ice skating, sports court, you'll have at least some fun. Cons: The boat ...

Disappointing but most expensive vacation ever....

I chose the cruise because of good experiences with Royal Caribbean in the past. We are loyal customers with Diamond status. Although it was the largest ship we have ever been on, and this trip was the most expensive ever, it was definitely disappointing. Some of the best shows were cancelled "due to technical difficulties". Two of the ones we did actually see were drab and uninteresting (six ...

We chose this cruise because we heard wonderful things about Royal Caribbean, but we were disappointed. After already spending thousands of dollars on the cruise, you can’t walk anywhere on the boat without someone trying to talk you into buying another outrageous package. There were 4-5 restaurants we were unable to eat at because they were extra and beyond pricy. We were most disappointed at how ...

Simply not a good value for vacation dollars

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

I chose this cruise to give Royal Caribbean a try since my last Carnival Cruise was so bad. Royal Caribbean does cost quite a bit more than Carnival so I did expect better food and better service and or amenities than I would expect on Carnival. Royal Caribbean service on this cruise was not as good as Carnival and neither was the food in spite of the fact that I paid for premium dining 3 or the ...

Terrible experience - very disappointed

I had great expectation for this cruise ship and was very disappointed. First I thought that the food was not far superior to other cruises as I was expecting it to be thought it was just mediocre at best, we even purchased an upgraded dining package and still thought it was subpar food and service. Service in main dining room was definitely lacking. To make matters worse I ended up ...

If you are hesitant to take a cruise, this boat isn't for you.

We were on the fence about cruising to say the least. 2 kids under the age of 5 and a family that prefers peace and quiet, luxury in terms of vacations. The boarding process was the first indication this was going to be a long week. Lots of people, huge facilities, long lines. To RC's credit, the move through people pretty quickly and have the process down. You can tell they are used ...

I cannot begin to tell you how upset I am with Royal Caribbean, this ship, and the unempowered folks at their call center. First night in Americana Cafe (3rd floor dining room), there were tee shirts and shorts almost everywhere at 730 dinner. I'm not talking kids, I'm talking adults who should know better. Why have rules for dress if you are not going to enforce them. Waiter was excellent. ...

In Dire Need of Refurbishing

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

This was a family cruise with our grown children and grandchildren. The ship is in dire need of a makeover. The carpet in rooms were stained, curtains torn, lack of storage for 2 people much less 3 or 4 which our cabin could hold. The chairs in the main dining were stained, the chairs in the Aqua Theater were dirty. We were greatly disappointed in the shape of this ship, which was not in ...

Below are the comments I sent to RC about our recent cruise on the Oasis. I think that it contains important things to know before booking. |During the production show "Come Fly with Me", my husband was in the front row and the blond flying acrobat flew off the stage into him. We are very upset that no one came to insure my husband was okay or uninjured. (He has a massive bruise on his shin.) ...
