We had been on Allure a few years ago and loved it, so we wanted to try the sister ship, Oasis. I would still rate Allure a bit better as far as the food that was offered, but most of our meals were very good. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly, especially since we had everything done online ahead of time. We also had booked all our entertainment ahead of time and made sure our friends were on the same schedule with us. We enjoyed the "my time" dining since it was nice to be flexible and not have to stop enjoying the pool and jacuzzi to get ready for dinner at a specific time. All the shows were spectacular! We loved the Las Vegas Tenors and my personal favorite is the diving show in the aqua theater. We found that if we got to each show about 20-30 minutes early we were able to get the seats we wanted. Since there is so much to do, we never felt like we were on such a gigantic ship. I knew I wanted to try the zip line since I had not done it on Allure, and my only regret is that I waited until the last day to do it! It was great and I would suggest you try it on the first sea day so you can go on it again. I was in search of the wonderful omelets and crepes I had remembered on Allure, but never found them. (someone told me you had to pay extra for omelets? not OK!) When we slept in and wanted a simple breakfast we would go to the Cafe Promenade at Central Park. It's not an extra charge and we liked being able to eat out among the trees. The children's pools were so fantastic it made me want to bring my grandkids next time. Overall, it was a great cruise! The person that worked on out room was great. Very friendly and accommodating. She have an excellent knowledge of the ship and what was going on and answered every question we had. Also, the service and food on the My-Time-Dining was excellent. My wife and I are telling all our friends and family how great the service was. We like so much the service and attention from all in the ship that we already booked 2 more cruises. We are looking for 1 or 2 cruises a year. Please be sure to let them know how much their services are appreciated. I was planning to take a lazy week at sea (3 cruising days) to rest from the toils of work. Well, I was wrong. There is so much to do and the shoes are great that I need a vacation to rest from the vacation.  The people on the Royal Caribbean cruises are wonderful. Read Less

We have traveled 5 times with RCCL and were impressed with the service, food and accommodations on this ship. The dining staff at the 3rd deck main restaurant were outstanding as well as the housekeeping staff.. The embarkation and disembarkation was very smooth and well-organized. We were impressed with the Port of Cape Canaveral and nearby Coco Beach where we took advantage of a "snooze and cruise" package, leaving our car at the hotel and they shuttle us to and from the port.. Certainly Port Canaveral is better organized and less congested than the ports in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. One drawback to our cruise is that we were never advised that this cruise was very children oriented with RCCL's special offers of free trips for children under 12 years of age for the Caribbean trips. The staff advised that due to the "family-orientation" of this cruise with special free rates, they had over 600 children on this cruise and near 2000 children the week before. With this many, we felt we were on a floating nursery. As we were looking forward to a more sedate vacation, this will make us more selective on future cruises. The entertainment was very good, especially with the Ice Show, the musical Come Fly with Me and the Water Show. The individual musical groups that played Latin, Caribbean and Dixieland music were outstanding. Read Less

We had a very bad shopping experience in Cozumel Mexico. It was not the fault of RC. This is just a warning to everyone to use extreme caution while shipping and DO NOT shop at the jewelry store Planteria Daniela. It is one of the first jewelry stores you'll come across on the far right side of the shopping center in the newly built area. They claim to be an RC approved store, which they are not. They lie about the quality of their jewelry. We found out the hard way. When we returned home we found the jewelry we purchased wasn't worth even half of what we paid. So be smart and stick to the REAL RC approved stores where they back up your purchase. So much for the negative. Other than a traffic backup at the parking garage and passenger drop off, boarding and leaving the ship was smooth and quick. The port of Canaveral needs to have one entrance directly to the parking garage and one for passenger drop off. What they have now is confusion. Once in the terminal, check in was quick and smooth. We were through check in and sitting down for lunch in less than 30 minutes. We found the food at the Windjammer ranged from awful/cold to good. I hate to say it but the Windjammer food has gone down hill, since our last cruise on the Oasis. On the up side the Windjammer is kept clean, the staff is great and you can find good food most of the time. We found breakfast was the worse, too much cold food. As an alternative try the solarium, Park Cafe and Wipeout cafe. With so many restaurants on the Oasis, you'll find one you like, even without paying for the upscale restaurants. We didn't dine in the main dinning room. But found lots of other places to dine without tying up our time. We like the balcony rooms overlooking the board walk. We enjoy the activity and even the noise. It's all fun, but if you have to have total silence at night, the boardwalk is not for you. Although they were more than 6000 passengers on the Oasis it never seemed crowded. There are plenty of activities and lot's of places to get away for quite time. The bands were all very good, but unfortunately for some reason most dance music didn't start until after 9 PM. It would have been nice to have at least one band playing in the early evening so those with the late dinning could enjoy some entertainment before dinner. Lots of shows on board, but remember to book your reservations prior to sailing. There were some unhappy guest that didn't book early and complained about not being able to see the shows. The crew was super, very friendly and helpful. We find that to be true on all RC ships. Our cabin was on the 10th deck overlooking the boardwalk. We had plenty of storage space and our room attendant was the best ever. Since we had been to all the ports before we decided just to walk around and do some shopping. I do recommend booking with RC if you have never toured before. You will pay a few extra dollars, but it's worth it to be safe. So if you like lots to do, children, good entertainment and lot's of places to dine, the Oasis might be a good choice. Read Less

The Oasis of the Seas was amazing. What made it even better though, was most staff. Very friendly, welcoming staff that do everything in their power to help you and to help give you the best time on your vacation. My vacation will never be forgotten and neither will some of the staff. Both me and my girlfriend, had a great time aboard the ship and are definitely looking forward to booking our next cruise the Royal Caribbean once again. Dining service was fantastic and offered a semi-big selection. Staterooms were always kept clean and the attendant I had was beyond friendly and did a more than a fantastic job. Very pleased with the staff, however there were minor issues with a few elevators (skipped floor 6 all the time, and other times the elevator would skip right past our floor). The food in the windjammer could definitely get better as far as adding more flavor to the food. Pasta was undercooked a lot, and sometimes the food was cold or borderline. Pizza parlor on deck 5 was a amazing add on to the ship, however me and my girlfriend caught them undercooking some pizzas a lot of the time. (We only ate it when it was cooked completely) but it was delicious when we did get it! Read Less

This was a honeymoon cruise for me, My 14 th cruise, my new wife's first. She was thrilled, I was greatly disappointed. This large ship experience was very lacking when compared to any other cruise I had taken On Royal, Carnival or Holland. The staff, especially those around the pool were terrible compared to my past experiences. They did their job but that was about it. The cruise director was not seen the whole cruise. Live music by the pool stunk, and nobody to get the crowd involved in fun like dancing or pool games. Windjammer breakfast was cold. Even the towel animals in the room were not what I was used to. Happily my new wife was impressed as she had never cruised before. It seems that since they are now automatically charging your account for gratuities the staff does not not to please anymore. I will never cruise a large ship again and will probably consider other cruise lines instead of my previous favorite of RCCL. Read Less

My 65th Birthday celebration included my sister and five friends! I use a power wheelchair and had no problems getting on or off the ship! My cabin was completely accessible and I made full use of our private balcony. Dinner was scrumptious! French Onion Soup, steak and the best dark chocolate cake I ever tasted. The staff sang Happy Birthday. Our waiter Norrys was great! He was very attentive and so was Joel the drink server! On our last nightJoel performed magic tricks with napkins and Norrys played the guitar! We booked a different event each nite. I loved the musical Cats. We had facials in the Spa. I sang karaoke and my sister did too! Haiti was great! It was accessible! Lots of places to shop and a buffet for lunch was delicious. Jamaica was paradise! Ken's Wheelchair Tour was wonderful! Komoko Falls was terrific! It was very accessible. Beautiful flowers like Birds of Paradise and Orchids were everywhere. Lots of shops to buy souvenirs but, be careful prices are high. If you show interest but, walk away the price will come down. Kosumel was awesome! A beautiful peninsula with beautiful beaches! Arturo, our taxi driver took us to a wonderful places to shop. Again show interest but, walk away at least once and the price will come down. We ate at a Mexican resturaunt. Delicious food but, watch out for the green hot sauce. Most gringos can't handle it. Our family is fortunate because we reside only 30-minutes from Port Canaveral. We enjoy the PASSENGERS on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, in addition to the ships, itinerary, food and entertainment. We are now all Diamond-Plus Members of Royal Caribbean’s Crown and Anchor Society. Stateroom: We stayed in a marvelous Grand Suite in deck 11 near the Diamond Lounge. The room size is 371 sq. ft. with a 105 sq. ft. balcony. The bathroom is spacious, has a tub, two sinks and lots of storage. Our stateroom attendant provided the "invisible service" we appreciate: place the "Make UP Room" sign on the door when leaving for meals and the room is clean when we return. The internet package for the entire cruise is also a nice feature and comes free with a Grand Suite. Coastal Kitchen and Suite Lounge: We were interested in experiencing the additional benefits of Grand Suites and above (Sky Class) by having breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Coastal Kitchen and drinks in the Suite Lounge next door. Service is superb and quality of the food excels many of the specialty restaurants. The filet of beef, served on the first night of the cruise, is superb!! Select beer, wine and champagne is available from 11:30 am until 11:00 pm. Mixed drinks are available from 4:30pm until 8:00pm each night. We were pleasantly surprised to find the Coastal Kitchen is even open for breakfast on debarkation morning. Reservations are required for dinner, so I recommend making your reservations early when you come on board before the most popular times are taken. Entertainment: We made reservation for the spectacular entertainment well before boarding the ship. Oasis can’t have 6,500 passengers attending the same show at the same time. We reserved Frozen in Time, Oasis of Dreams, the Headliner Showtime, and Come Fly with Me. Sky Class guests get reserved seating at each theater. Shore Excursions: Our only shore excursion was on Labadee’s Barefoot Beach for Sky Class guests and cabana rentals. We received an upscale lunch and a terrific day at a tropical beach. An additional Grand Suite perk was that a separate golf cart type transportation was available (which is nice if the weather is hot or guests have trouble walking). The pick-up spot is just past the information booth and there is an attendant with a walkie-talkie to call the driver. This is not the same service as the other regular guest pick-up carts (which don’t stop at Barefoot Beach). Debarkation: The Concierge service escorted Sky Suites and above off the ship with no queuing. It just took our family 10-minutes from the time we left the Champagne Bar, departed the ship, picked-up our luggage, completed the Customs check and exited Cruise Terminal 1 to our car. WOW! I wanted a cruise to celebrate my retirement for 2018. We booked the cruise early to get a nice room. Once we booked, we anticipated a very good time. Upon arrival, the lines were long to get into the check-in area. Once we got to our room, we unpacked and got started on the activities. The room itself was good however, there was a strong urine/sewer gas smell in the bathroom. Our attendant poured bleach in the drains but the smell returned. Other than the one issue, the room was satisfactory. The ship has four pools and one adult pool. One pool was for children and had activities for the children. We had the beverage package but the strawberry daquiri and margarita did not taste good, so I drank wine during the trip. We did not get off the boat for St. Marteen or San Juan (rain) but did enjoy the Haiti trip. Otherwise, the ship does have a lot to offer. Read Less

This was mother/daughter trip to try the BIG ship. I'm 83 but got around the ship pretty well. I did miss being able to take part in the fun outdoor activities. Embarkation was fast enough considering the large number of passengers. Debarkation was worse. Be prepared for long lines. Our cabin was typical of other cruises. See notes below. Great entertainment. Especially Cats and the Comedy Club. Joe Yannetty had me "in stitches". We didn't miss any of the featured shows and enjoyed them all. We did miss having a variety of entertainment in the main showroom. Be sure not to miss the Splish Splash Comedy water show. No reservations required. Some afternoons the Aqua performers rehearsed and that was also interesting to watch. Be sure to make all your show reservations on-line before the cruise. The specialty restaurants Giovannis and Chops were excellent. My Time Dining in the American Grill only twice as there were other venues that we wanted to try. My Time dining can be a little chaotic. And very noisy. Dining room is much better for lunch or breakfast. There is an excellent lunch buffet. We avoided the Windjammer. The ship did not appear "run down" as I've read in other posts. Over-all the noise level was way too high for me. Especially the canned music. The Champagne Bar and Vintages were two places that we found for a quiet before dinner drink. And Schooner Bar was OK at other times. Central Park was very pleasant in the evening. Sometimes quiet live music also. Most of the music that we might have enjoyed was scheduled during dining hours.that was disappointing. The ship did not offer the drink punch card during this cruise. ) : Over all I enjoyed the experience of the Oasis and highly recommend it. But in the future I would choose a smaller ship. Thanks to my daughter for making this trip a wonderful vacation. LABADEE Beautiful beaches. Plenty of loungers on a do-it-yourself basis. Some shade available. BBQ ribs and jerk chicken very tasty. No line if you get there early. Free tram around the area. FALMOUTH Just got off and looked around .Many diamond and watch stores. Plus usual souvenir shops. Margaritaville was very busy. Lots of cruisers enjoying their food and pool. COZUMEL Took a taxi to Paradise Beach. Nice resort. $3 charge. Plenty of lounges with umbrellas. You're obligated to buy food and drinks. Reasonably priced. Margaritas and nachos were great. Very nice pool is also available. For a fee, there were boat rides, parasailing, jet skis, etc. Plenty of taxis waiting to go back to the ship. About a 20 minute ride. Great day. Read Less

Oasis of the Sea is a very large ship. It gives you many opportunities to choose activities, food venues, and pools. We were on board with maximum capacity of 6500 passengers. Very first time I've experienced such a large number of passengers. We would prefer to travel when they're not booked to capacity. Even with this large number of people embarking and disembarking was very smooth. Food and bar Service was extremely good and fast. We were extremely excited and happy to see how large are room was. It was an outside open balcony cabin. The privacy of the cabin and balcony made us feel like we're alone on the high seas. We enjoyed Park Place with all of its green vegetation and European atmosphere. If you wished to pay an additional premium for dinner there were many specialty dining restaurants . I am not from a big city and used to crowds. But I would recommend this Cruise to friends and family. Read Less

This was our 7th cruise on Oasis or Allure. Arrived at terminal around 10:30 Emerald Status, was ON ship before noon. Very easy process. Was eating lunch by 12:30. Roast beef sandwiches are still great. Luggage was in room by 2:30. Booked cruise 5 weeks before cruise. Made my time reservations on line for 5:00. Was able make reservations for all shows except comedy and aqua show. As soon as I got on ship made reservations for aqua and comedy shows, nobody in line that early. Later in day there were very long lines. All shows were good. Impact show was different from most shows I have seen. Drums, whips, Argentinean tap dancing, singing, you didn't fall asleep. Cats excellent, but I also believe it was too long. Yes, several people left at intermission as show was 2 1/2 hours or more. Come fly with me had lots of action on and above stage. NEGATIVE COMMENTS THAT I DID NOT AGREE WITH: 1.ship badly worn, stains all over, worn out furniture, Found ship very clean, almost never found trash in halls, you will always see a few stains as people carrying drinks do spill and can't be cleaned immediately. 2. Poor service due to workers being sent to new ships. Dining room wait staff could never be better. Food kept coming with no delays. Water, tea, drinks never made it to half full, constant refilling. Windjammer buffet, food was always at right temperature, tables continually cleaned as fast as you finished a plate. 3.Had cabin 14154 front of ship near kids area and below solarium. People said it would be very noisy, kids running around, noise from solarium, rough ride due to being on front of ship and on deck 14. Found none of those problems, wood book that room again. 4.Other than sea days no problem getting deck chairs. Yes chairs were saved with towels. I put my towels down at 8:00, ate breakfast with no lines and came back to pool by 9:00. Those who got up at 10:00 had to wait in long buffet lines, and yes did find it hard to get chairs close to pool. Most of chair hog chairs were unused while the complainers were sleeping. Chair police came around twice due to a couple of people complaining. One woman told security that she put a scarf and towel down 15 minutes before and someone took her chair. Ten of us were sitting beside and across from that seat for the previous two hours, she had never been to that chair but swore she saved it. Get up a little early for no lines for buffet and a pool seat. 5. Dining room food bad, cold, poor service. Found food always at proper temperature and cooked just the way you ordered it. Met all my requests. Cold soup was only on menu one day. I asked if chef could find some for me even though not on menu and found it every night. House salad was not on menu many nights, but had chef make it any time we asked. No problem getting double lobsters, double lamb chops, double lamb shank, 5 appetizers. Never questioned anything you ordered, and brought to you very quickly. Never rushed.. 6.Cardboard pizza. No, it wasn't your hometown pizza shop, but hey, as a quick snack, it was ok. Toppings changed daily, it was always hot, never sitting around. People fail to mention an antipasto salad bar to the left of pizza line. Very few seemed to even notice it was there. It was a very good side dish with pizza. Disembark was smooth until after getting luggage. As usual not enough customs workers. If you want to save a lot of waiting in line get a porter after getting luggage, they go to front of line. Overall a great cruise. Read Less

Super Service, Food better than last cruise. Labadee & Falmouth are both getting a bit "old"in terms of destinations. Cozumel was nice. Highly recommend Chaakenaab Park in Cozumel. Ship is in pretty good shape except for carpeting and drapes - need replacing (planned for drydock in October). Service seemed noticeably better - with everyone we engaged being friendly and looking to go the extra mile for help and smiling services. Food was also improved, especially in the main dining room. First time porting in Port Canaveral. We have to say that the speed and efficiency at that location was as good as any place we've embarked before. The Cortrans shuttle back to the Orlando airport was on time and well done. All in all, Royal Caribbean did their part well, and our 2nd time on Oasis was at least as good (if not slightly better) than the first. All of us had a nice time, and the Spring Break crowd was hardly noticeable. Read Less

We are becoming very loyal RC cruisers, this was our third. The Oasis is a beautiful ship loaded with everything needed for a great vacation. Our room was comfortable (interior), kept neat & clean by an attendant who not only managed our room nicely, created novelty towel creations, was very personalable;it was very nice to be greeted by our names when we saw him in the hallway. The food & service in the main dining room was, as always, excellent! It was very nice to have a few smaller restaurants for breakfast & lunch... we enjoyed the park cafe in the Central Park area, really enjoyed having lunch in the park. The entertainment was very good, the diving show, the high flying show, & El Gaucho were exceptional! It was good to see staff making sure that the chaise lounges rules were being followed so that towels vacant chairs were removed after 30 min of vacancy. Departure was a see less procedure, it took us a total of 35 min to carry out our bags, go thru customs, find our shuttle & arrive at our car... best departure we’ve had so far. Main Observations of the Cruise: * On and off this ship was the smoothest of any cruise we have been on. * All of the shows (except CATS) were great with the Comedy Club & the theater comedy show being the best. * Standard dining the Windjammer and Solarium Cafe were the winners with lots of choices. The Main Dinning room was good but not worth the wait with My Time Dining. * Optional dinning we tried the Sabor and though the service was great, the menu really needs to be a little more Tex Mex style. The contemporary menu they use is just not very tasty for a $20 each service charge. * All the ports were easy off and on: San Juan was a lot of fun just shopping downtown. The ship only stayed for half a day and required us back on the ship before 1:30 pm. We really felt that this was not nearly enough time. Sint Maarten was as beautiful as ever however only about 40% of the businesses are open after the hurricane damage. Labadee is the ultimate beach getaway for the day and shows no damage from the fall weather. The overall experience was the ship was beautiful and fun with a variety of things do do if you choose. We used this cruise as a relaxing vacation for a couple in their 60's that wanted some options. I would absolutely do it again! Read Less

I chose this cruise because I was curious to see how is the world largest ship can sail the seas. After I saw it , it’s definitely a magnificent ship. But it wasn’t planned better then this ,I found it had lots of obstacles.like you have to look for the bathroom for a while before you get to it,and some of the bathrooms the ladies bathroom on one side the men’s bathroom is on the opposite side around the corner which I found is a little strange. The amount of people was to much to you have to wait inline for coffee, the buffet, the washrooms and try to find a lounge chair around the pool ! I found the staff is little pushy. The buffet didn’t have a variety of foods,it’s always the same and it looked poor, and the food was mediocre at best . A ship with this kind of magnitude they were cheap on the furniture, like our mattress was old and you could see the indentation in it ,we had a restless sleep. I mean it was beautiful to see a ship that magnificent, but everything else didn’t fit with the magnitude of the ship . Of course that’s my personal opinion,I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon on the Royal Caribbean oasis of the seas. Read Less

Ship can be too long to keep walking here and there... but our cabin was too far forward! The ship had the best entertainment, it is all awesome! Last minute booking so price would be cheaper, so it was a cabin I wouldn't haven't chosen. And the wind can be a problem when sailing... Windjammer was a little small for whole ship. But there are other small venues. Like the pizza shop with great personal size pizza, to compare with Italy. "Cats" was inspiring, Aqua show awesome... Ice show real great; could see again. And couple very funny comedians at dedicated comedy club! The food was very good, with lobster one night. But in the end our favorite spot was in Central Park! We've sailed Oasis in the past as well as other RCI ships. The quality of service has been very consistent over the years. Generally, they do it all right! The shows are outstanding and varied for all interests. The only negative we found was a little drop off in main dining room service; not quite up to past standards. We've stopped at Labadee, Falmouth & Cozumel several times in the past and will probably choose a different itinerary in the future. Our cabin overlooked an enjoyable view of Central Park and was one deck below deck 15 activities. We chose a forward stateroom to be close to stairs and elevators and found it very convenient. The Solarium was close by and offered a great spot for lunch and daytime leisure. One of the biggest challenges on a large ship is location. You cannot be near everything so you have to make a choice that best fits your needs. 14185 did it for us. We will sail Royal Caribbean again. Read Less

We had an amazing vacation on the Oasis and while in the future, we would prefer to return to Holland America, we would sail on Oasis again. We spent two days in Cocoa Beach staying at the Residence Inn prior to our cruise. We loved the hotel and enjoyed exploring. We did have some issues returning our rental car at Hertz due to the office closing early without notification, however the office took care of it competently after a nerve wracking night. We enjoyed motorized paddleboats/ kayaking, mini golfing, and sightseeing while in Cocoa Beach. We also had a great key lime pie from the Key Lime Pie company. Embarcation was very stressful and our biggest complaint with the cruise. Staff at the port would not allow us to stay with my handicapped parents through the security line. We were told we could meet them on the other side of security. After waiting in line, we went through security. My parents were nowhere to be seen. They would not allow us to linger in the security area and were told that they had already gone ahead. We progressed to the boarding area, asking multiple times about my parents. We were told they had already boarded the ship. We insisted they would not have boarded without us and asked them to check that their cards had been scanned in. They refused and told us we needed to continue on to the ship. We refused and my husband went back to look for them. He was told he would need to go through security again. At this point 30 minutes had passed. Just before he left the boarding room, he met up with them arriving in the boarding room. They had just left security. Security had put my 80 and 90 year old parents through hell, including searches, removing all labeled medications, etc from their bags, and accusing them of hiding a bomb in their nebulizer which had an md script attached to it. Stressed and exhausted, we finally boarded the ship. We were delayed in boarding at this point, so we decided to go to the Solarium for lunch. We were able to get a table for 6 and the adults enjoyed the lunch. Our two children did not so we did not return. We spent the remainder of the afternoon exploring the ship, swimming, registering the kids for teen club, and unpacking 5 of 6 suitcases. The 6th suitcase was finally found by my husband at 7:30 that night sitting in a hallway on deck 6. We ate dinner in the Main Dining Room that night and met our great servers: IMade and Maryna. They were both wonderful and we ended up cancelling other reservations to eat there every night but one, We loved the meals, although we did get a little bored with broccoli and carrots. The one other night, we ate at Giovanni's. We had a complimentary meal from our travel agent. Great food and the only night we over ate. They said lasagna is now available every night even though it is not on the menu. This was another challenge with seniors. They could not see or hear anything in the restaurants, it was too dark and loud. Breakfasts and lunches at Sabor, Johnny Rockets, and the Windjammer were all fine as long as we ate early. Later in the day, crowds and lines would build and tables for 6 were a challenge. We enjoyed all the entertainment. Our showing of Oasis of Dreams was cancelled and the rescheduled time was during dinner. We made dinner without trouble however, as we saw a shortened show. We were able to see the full version later in the week and it was amazing. My favorite was the skating show. It is amazing that they can do that on ice. We spent many nights in the Jazz club and piano bar. The pools were chilly all week but still crowded on the warmer of the 2 sea days. There was always room in a hot tub. Even going up to the pool deck at 9:30 on the sea, it was impossible to find loungers together. Our teens made friends their first night at Teen club. There were over 1000 teens on the cruise. My two children were upset they divided teen club into two groups. My 15 year old daughter would meet friends outside of the teen club. My 13 year old son, ended up going to teen club multiple times, participating in activities and playing video games. In Labadee, we rented a bungalow. We really enjoyed it. In Falmouth, we walked around the port and shopped and then reboarded the ship. In Cozumel, we went on a great private excursion with Cozumel Cruise Excursions.net. We had a great day and saw a good portion of the islands without crowds. Disembarcation was better than embarcation, however we were again separated from my parents at the the elevators. They again would not allow us to gather to meet at the base of the elevators. This time, my husband insisted on going with my parents and we reconnected by calling on our cell phones. We concluded our vacation with a great Royal Caribbean tour to Kennedy Space Center and airport drop-off. We had a very early departure time, but then sat on the bus for an hour waiting to leave. The tour was great and we made it to the airport on time. MCO is a mess at the ticketing area right now. Overall, we had a great time, but it is a big ship for seniors with difficulty on the elevators for someone in a wheelchair. Read Less

I generally look to book on one of the Oasis class ships because of the amenities and the Coastal Kitchen experience. The staff and crew were wonderful, the food as good as I've ever had, and the Loft Suite I booked exceeded all expectations. Being a frequent cruiser, I only left the ship briefly in Jamaica and Cozumel, choosing to spend the bulk of the time in port enjoying the quiet of an almost empty ship. Although the ship has almost 10 years on her, there's little sign of wear and tear. Oasis has certainly aged gracefully and the staff and crew have only gotten better over the years. The Port Canaveral terminal is modern, clean, and the staff at check in, efficient and quite pleasant. I ate 5 of the nights in one of the speciality restaurants and two in Coastal Kitchen. The food and the service for the most part, wonderful. If I could complain about anything, it would be the long lines at guest services. There were always delays getting to a service person. We have been on an Oasis back to back cruise before and decided that we'll take a one week cruise on the Oasis again while we're in Florida. The ship is beautiful and the service is great too. Having been on many RCCL cruises, we found that the food was better than most of the cruises we've been on. You never felt crowded at the buffet or when looking for a chaise lounge. If there is one complaint it is the shows. Although I tried to book a night for the comedy show several weeks prior to our cruise, it was filled. After we got on the ship we also were not able to get to see the comedy show. The broadway production of "CATS" was OK but too long. It lasted over 2 hours. The costumes and set design for the show were superb. "Come Fly with me" was our favorite show - very entertaining. All in all, the performers for all the shows were very talented. Read Less

Oh, Royal Caribbean. We hardly knew thee… I’m writing this on the flight home, so the last week aboard Oasis of the Seas is still fresh in my mind. I don’t want to forget anything. First, the good. The ship is easy to understand once the “neighborhood” concept sinks in. And, the neighborhood thing was cool. We loved Central Park especially – on calm days it really did seem to be a city park, complete with storefront restaurants, a little bar and plenty of seats among the lush, and live, vegetation. Boardwalk was also a great place to grab a hot dog, a cup of ice cream, a drink or a ride on the merry-go-round. We saw a couple of movies under the stars, watched the water show (excellent) and had one of the wait staff try to explain the cricket game…match…on TV while we were dipping chips into amazing guacamole at Sabor. We spent a couple of wonderful afternoons in the elegant English Pub, which has an interesting selection of beers. The second one, our server Micki was an absolute delight, talking to us about the differences between her native China, Japan and Korea. She could have not been more engaging or friendly. The cabin attendant seemed to be at our cabin every time we returned – tidying up, laying out the next day’s Compass, creating another adorable towel animal. He was invariably good humored, greeted us by name every time and responded to every request we had. The room was always spotless. We had a fantastic meal at 150 Central Park – me fork tender short ribs and her a delicious red snapper. Her martini was created table side, a very elegant touch. The sushi and rolls at Izumi were fantastic, the server a delight. Our sail away meal at the American Icon Main Dining Room was awesome, the table 313 crew friendly and efficient. We would gladly have eaten in their section every night. Alas... Back in the day – a few short years ago, in fact – we made all of our “My Time” reservations on line. This was our third RCI cruise. However, after booking our cruise in January 2017 I could find no way to accomplish this simple task. No problem, we’ll do it live. Except the staff taking reservations on the phone were abrupt, condescending and unhelpful. Not only could we not reserve our table for the rest of the cruise, we couldn’t get a reservation for anything other than that evening. At eight. Invariably at eight. Three nights in a row, even though we called at 0906, six minutes after reservations opened. “We have a show at eight-thirty.” “Eight.” We were invited to stand in line and wait. It may have been an example of biting off our noses… But, we never returned to the MDR. For goodness sake we ate dinner in the Windjammer two nights, where the passengers behaved like sharks in a feeding frenzy but the wait staff were exceptionally friendly. And the little chocolate cupcakes – I would follow that pastry chef anywhere. I’m still trying to figure out what three cruises, nineteen RCI points, bought us. We waited in the two-hour line to board and encountered an RCI special – awful people at the security checkpoint. Curt, snappish and one even took my gear from one bin and transferred it unnecessarily to another, which resulted in stuff going everywhere. “You need to have your passports open!” barked the officious little man, apropos to no notice anywhere. No member coupons in the cabin or welcome note, no “Great job” cards to give deserving crew. Nada. And… I’m sure it’s a licensing thing, but NO WINTER OLYMPICS?! We saw three shows, all of which were well done and energetically performed. Okay, I’ve never been a Cats fan…but the young lady who sang “Memory” could really bring it, and the other cast members truly gave it up. Come Fly With Me was worth every second of our time – those kids can sing! The ice show we would have been happy to pay serious money to see. Everyone, that is, the entire ensemble, could skate lights out. The diving show was postponed several times because of high winds and an unsettled sea. Unsettled… That great big boat was all over the place. We caught their warm-ups, and SRO’d a show. It was breathtaking. Our cabin lacked some of the amenities with which we’d grown accustomed – real wine glasses, an ice bucket and bathrobes. The wet bar menu was missing (and the small refrigerator empty), which a request would probably have rectified, but why should we have to ask? Room service carries a fee and automatic gratuity. I mean…eight and a half bucks to deliver a grilled cheese sandwich? And… Cruise Critic asks us not to use profanity, so I’ll just leave this here. The person who was constantly smoking on their balcony, you’re a jerk. One final cruel stroke – the “TSA Pre” boarding passes RCI printed out on the boat that were part of the valet service? Yeah…no. We loved that line, too, friends. Maybe it’s about efficiently serving sixty-seven hundred guests. I don’t know. My exceedingly wise PhD spouse said it best. “I felt like a customer, not a guest.” Next cruise, we’ll see what the competition has to offer. Read Less

Oasis of the Seas has a great crew. the ship needs refurbishing its 9 years old. saying that I still had a great time. My only beef is that when I travel alone they set me at a table for two and I end up eating alone. this has happened over and over again. if i want to eat alone i would stay home. when I book my cruise I ask for early dining and a large table. I did not like the show CATS and walked out after 30 minutes. a half hour later i saw a line 9 persons wide walking out. The comedy show was very good along with the water show, ice show come fly with me. Come fly with me had props that i have never seen in a broadway type show. it was great. I have a suggestion for RCL open up my time dining and start a large table for those of us that are single. PS being diamond plus made boarding easy with a small line. Read Less

This was absolutely the best ocean cruise we've ever had. Normally, we prefer River Cruises, but this ship may change our minds about that in the future. We booked this trip without knowing anything about the ship. What a pleasant, wonderful surprise we received. Great entertainment (which included a Broadway worthy performance of "Cats" which was amazing as was everything else we saw on ship. All our dining experiences were wonderful and delicious...particularly "Chops Grille", one of the specialty restaurants. Our cabin had a balcony and, although not a suite, was spacious enough for us and my husband's rental scooter. We loved sitting out on our balcony in the evenings with a glass of wine. The staff on board are tremendous...friendly, accommodating and able to solve any problem that may arise. We weren't interested in going on shore. BUT, there was Soooo much to do we could not experience everything available. Can't wait to sail the "Oasis of the Sea" again. If those reading this would like to view the ship, please go to YouTube and type in "Oacis of the Sea". One of the passengers on our cruise filmed the entire ship and explains all the available things to see and do Read Less

My wife paid for this cruise through her work. It was a great cruise, huge ship & lots to do. The ship was beautiful. Our room was bigger than we thought it would be, plus a balcony over Central Park. Only con, the bed was a little hard but got used to it. The food at Chop's Grill was fantastic. The free meals at Central Café & Windjammer was very good. The staff everywhere was great. We even got to meet & talk to the Captain twice in the hallways. Our room attendant cleaned our room twice a day. And at night made animals out of towels & put it on our bed, also turned it down. There was over 6,000 guests & 2,000 employees on the ship. It really was never that crowded. Going to be talking to my wife's kids about our next cruise. Can't wait for the next cruise. Read Less
