My wonderful boyfriend had been on a cruise previously and was excited to be part of this adventure with me. It was my first time on a cruise. You do not have to get off the ship for anything! The food was delicious! the crew was friendly and professional! the cabin overlooking central park was spotless and romantic! we could hear live music every day from the balcony or our cabin! The entertainment on the most part was excellent! except for Cats (which was boring!!). In the main dining room our wait team were friendly and accommodating as we don't eat meat or shellfish. They went the extra mile to make us feel at home! Thanks to Christopher and Tarin!!!( and the extra delicious bread daily!!) Even though there were 6000 other passengers it never felt crowded or hectic on the cruise! We always could find a place to sit by the pool or deck or dining areas at breakfast and lunch! The week previous to our departure from Port Canaveral, unfortunately the Oasis of the sea passengers were in an outbreak due to the norovirus!! When we arrived we were extremely impressed in how it seemed that all preventative measures had been taken to prepare for us. The whole week the crew went out of there way to keep the passengers healthy with sanitizer at every venue, restaurant and store! I work in healthcare and was impressed!!! My only other complaint was the coffee!!!Thank goodness for Starbucks on sale on the Royal Promenade deck! Can you not improve your coffee???!!! Many of us love a good cup of coffee a couple times a day! Our off shore experience with the Nassau glass bottom boat was not worth the money! The speaker system was horrible and you could hardly see anything where they stopped to look thru the bottom! By the way the rum punch seemed watered down as well.Oasis of the Sea if you have kick backs I think it is time you found a better company! All in all it was a fantastic week! Thanks to everyone that made our time enjoyable! Warm regards, A and P Read Less

First time on the Oasis of the Seas and loved every moment of it !! I will not repeat what has been said before about many things in other reviews, but only give you the absolute highlights for us. Central Park is so peaceful and beautiful with violin and piano music at night. There are so many choices of venues for breakfast and lunch, that we never felt crowded, but you need to do your homework beforehand or you may miss them. Now at the moment, the Solarium Restaurant up on deck 15 is now complimentary dining for breakfast, lunch, AND Dinner. Dinner is unique in that the appetizers and deserts are buffet style, while the main entrée is cooked to order. Warning -the choices do not change nightly, but with grilled shrimp, chicken kabob and an absolutely tender and delicious New York Strip, you will not be disappointed. And the setting is peaceful. Another sometimes forgotten gem is the Wipeout Café for breakfast. Yes, it is small, but uncrowded with fresh cooked to order omelets. Don’t forget to visit Park Café, especially if you love steamship round of beef sandwiches..well there are just so many places to get free food! We love to dance and on Oasis there are also many dance venues beginning with DAZZLES the beautiful bi-level venue with live band nightly playing music from the 50’s to present. Boleros, the Blaze, the Solarium on some nights (last two with DJs). Have never seen so many people dancing as on this ship. BUT all venues the music was too loud, even with earplugs, which I highly recommend. IF it is listed and you like Dixieland, don’t miss the Oasis orchestra on the Boardwalk with their Dixeland concert. Do plan ahead and book your shows in advance, you do not want to miss any of them, especially Come Fly With Me - so exciting, unique and entertaining. I know CATS is not everyone’s cup of tea, but the talent was superb. The Aqua show and ice show did not disappoint BUT be ready for possible disappointment as rough seas can nix the performances. Another plus for me was that you could actually find places where there was no music during the morning or afternoon. I love music, but I don’t need it constantly. We found all the staff friendly with a fun Activity staff….especially if you have a smile on your face, everybody else seem to brighten up. My wife and I love cruising when we can and walk on with a smile and 99% of the time walk off with a smile. Read Less

We chose this cruise and ship because of the amenities, suites and ports for this particular sailing. We were in suite 1701, Owners Panoramic suite and IT WAS PERFECT. Very spacious, hot tub on the deck....could not have asked for more. Outstanding views of both sea and ship was beautiful. Sailing over Halloween was a blast. Already booked for next year but trying the Harmony Our Royal Genie was good. We did have some issues but it was rectified. We took a shore excursion, we went to St Thomas and St Maarten, to a rum factory...really not worth the 100.00. Formal nights were beautiful. I’m one of those I don’t care what people think and have read a lot of reviews saying people didn’t really dress up. I’m glad I didn’t listen because there were lines of people waiting in formal pictures...the formal dining room was packed with evening gowns and people even still had them on at thhe shows. I’ll say that having star class amenities was WELL WORTH IT. eating whenever and wherever we want...drinking whatever we want...room service whenever we want and whatever we want.....it’s a perk you’ll love. It definitely spoils you. We had no children with us but for some reason review would not complete without saying yes. Read Less

We chose Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas due to the features onboard as well as the nice itinerary. Ship Even though the ship is massive, it is very easy to navigate. It is broken up into neighbourhoods such as Central Park, the Boardwalk, and Royal Promenade. There are maps and signs all over the ship so it’s hard to get lost. Since it is such a large ship, it holds a lot of people. This means that we often had to wait a while for an elevator or search for a while for two chairs together by the pool. Dining We paid for First Night Done Right. We were assigned to Giovanni’s, but I really wanted to try Choppes. They didn’t charge us anything extra (even though other reviewers have posted that this is common practice.) My meal at the steakhouse was my favourite. We each ordered a filet mignon; it was cooked perfectly and there were 3 sauces to choose from. They pour your choice on your plate at the table. We each ordered dessert, and upon hearing it was our anniversary, they sent us a third dessert with a candle and sang us a song. The sever was attentive and had a good sense of humour! We also had dinner at Giovanni’s, and it was fantastic too! I had the gnocchi with spinach and cream sauce; it was SO GOOD! The other 5 nights we ate in the main dining room. It was quite good. I didn’t care for the New York Strip steak as it was a little overdone and rubbery. Drinks We purchased the deluxe beverage package and found the drink service excellent. The variety of beer, wine, and cocktails was awesome! We never had to wait for a drink. Entertainment We saw the comedy show, headliners, the oasis of dreams, and a parade. The comedians were funny and they involved the audience quite a bit! I also really enjoyed the oasis of dreams show; the diving was impressive! The show was supposed to be performed a number of times throughout the cruise, but it was cancelled several times due to technical issues. In place of the last oasis of dreams show, they put on a Dreamworks Parade on the promenade. It was cute, but I felt stuck at the side while it was on and I just wanted to cut across to get a drink. Activities There is so much to do on the ship. I did the zip lining and enjoyed the pool on each day at sea. We also had fun in the casino. There are quite a few table games and plenty of slot machines. Shore Excursions Bahamas We enjoyed all three ports. We purchased an excursion through the ship in the Bahamas; it was called the VIP BEACH DAY IN BLUE LAGOON. It was very expensive at $135 pp. And it was chaos when we got off the ship. There were thousands of passengers trying to figure out where to line up and there were hardly any employees to tell us where to go. Once we got on our ferry, everything was great. It was a 25 minute ride to Blue Lagoon. The beach was separate from the rest of the activities. We had chairs and an umbrella. We were greeted with mimosas❤️We also got to see people interacting with sting rays and dolphins. They had tubes to float on (no charge) and they served us lunch right on the beach. St Thomas We decided to go on our own this time and it was a much smoother process. We did some shopping right off the dock. Then we decided to take a taxi to Meagan’s Bay Beach. It was $10 pp each way. It was about a 20 minute ride. It also costs $5 pp to access the beach. The beach was beautiful! The sand is white and the water was clear and warm. We enjoyed this day very much! St Maarten We decided to skip the beach and just shop here. We took a taxi cab ($7 round trip all day). These people are still working to recover from the hurricane. The police presence was strong so I felt pretty safe. My husband bought a watch and I bought a diamond necklace. We saved a few hundred dollars. One thing I was not prepared for is the constant requests for more tips. We already pay a nice sum of money for prepaid gratuities and yet there is a tip line on bills for drinks, food, etc. We ended up giving an extra $100 or so in tips. I think they should have prepaid grats or pay as you go grats, not both. Overall , we had an excellent vacation! Read Less

We picked this ship because it is really large. With our Star Class, getting on and off the boat was always easy. Our Genie took care of us so we waited very little. The ship has lots to do, is clean and absolutely beautiful. Our cabin was a suite. There are 2 suites bigger than ours but they don't sleep but 4 or 6. Ours sleeps 8 and was spacious. The views were great, the balcony was amazing and the service was above and beyond my expectations. Being Star Class definitely made us feel like Royalty! Your personal Genie caters to your every need. I had 4 fourteen year old boys and they had a blast. Plenty for them to do socially and they love sports. They were occupied at all times and I always felt they were safe and supervised. They loved the 24 hour room service! The entertainment was awesome. We saw Cats, the Aqua theater water show, the ice skating show, the comedy show and all of the bands and singers. We missed some shows, just ran out of time. All of the shows and bands were great! Some of our group did other events and loved them all. My husband played poker and gave it a big thumbs up. The staff at all levels are very accommodating and kind. They work hard and seem to be happy to serve. The food was delicious and we ate way too much! The shore excursions were typical. Ours was not described accurately for St. Thomas (said 2 beaches but was only 1 and rushed). It was snorkeling too and not many fish. Nassau at Atlantis is crowded and the rain closed it for a bit. But there is a beach and it has jet skis for rent and other water activities. St. Maarten was our best! Sea Trek and they threw in some snorkeling. We saw lots of fish there. Then we found a Zip line on our own afterwards that Royal Caribbean does not sell and it was the best of all. It was a zip line plus you could ride an inner tube down the mountain. Just need more time at all the stops. Typical for a cruise but there is always a rush and of course, lots of people. But everyone was friendly and we always felt safe. Bring cash off ship for extras! Jet skis Etc want cash. Read Less

I would highly recommend the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Sea to anyone, especially as a honeymoon, but really for any sort of vacation or occasion. We had a balcony room on Deck 12 which was a very nice room, we enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony in the morning/evening or when we were coming into port. Our stateroom attendant, Jermaine, consistently went above and beyond to make us feel at home, highly personable, went of his way to ensure everything in our room was to our satisfaction and along with the other housekeeping staff did what they could to make us feel special on our honeymoon. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Jermaine. The food and service in the American Icon dining room were top notch. We were so impressed by our servers (which having been a server in the past, I'm a fairly tough critic), we actually reserved at table in their section every night. Trust the waitstaff recommendations on dinner options, every time we selected something they had recommended we were highly pleased with it. Honestly, don't bother spending the money on the specialty restaurants. We went to one and talked to other couples who went to a couple of the others and all of us agreed, that the food in the dining room was just as good if not better and the service was better than in the specialty restaurants. And for some great drinks in a really nice atmosphere check out the Trellis Bar in the Central Park Deck 8 area of the ship. Jude and his fellow bartenders always treated us great. The activities on the ship were a lot of fun too. You could make the trip as relaxed or as busy as you wanted. We loved the Honeymooner's get together - what a great idea to give all of us a chance to get to know each other. We forged a friendship with another couple that began in part through our attendance at the Honeymooner's get together. We also absolutely loved the night time game shows (love and marriage, battle of the sexes, quest, perfect couple, etc) and attended every one. As a singer, the Rock a Rokie karaoke with the band was so much fun, definitely something you should keep. The headliner show, ice show, and aqua theater show were all amazing. We didn't get to see the Come Fly with Me show because of technical difficulties -- we were disappointed but of course everything can't be perfect. But they did offer up other activities in its place. The quality of the entertainment was truly top notch. Our ports were Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. We did the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim in the Bahamas. This was a bucket-list item for me and my husband and it was worth every penny we paid for it. We each got a "foot push" by the dolphins, got a dolphin hug, kiss, danced with them in the water, and more. Neither of us will ever forget that. At St. Thomas we went snorkeling and on a catamaran sail ride. The snorkeling was ok, we saw a lot of turtles and our guides were great, but I wish the area we snorkeled in had more coral reef or colorful fish. Finally in St. Maarten, we took it a little easier and went on an island tour by bus to see both sides of the island, did a little shopping, and took tons of pictures. All in all, it was the most amazing honeymoon we could ask for. Thank you Royal Caribbean and Oasis of the Seas! We will definitely be back! Read Less

We went on a 7- night cruise for our 10th anniversary and I don't think we could have made a better choice. Royal Caribbean does such an amazingjob with everything: food, service, entertainment. You can really tell that everyone on that vessel takes great pride in their work and ship. Highly recommend this cruise! The excursion options were great. Each stop had something to offer, some the same and some unique to the locations. The daily itineraries they deliver each night along with the shopping guide are so helpful in planning your next day: whether it's figuring when to do what or what time the eateries will be open or letting you know the currency of your next destination or even what time you can catch the sunrise. We constantly referred back to those. And of you left yours in your room, there were some available at the customer service desk. There is no way to be bored on board either. There is so much to do. Again, I highly recommend this cruise experience. Read Less

The ship is huge and offers so many activities that we needed all seven days to explore everything. We enjoyed the perfect amount of rest and relaxation, while also enjoying activity. We did my time dining in the American Icon restaurant, and it seemed like one side had better service than the other. However, the food was always great, especially the desert. We always ate breakfast at Windjammer, which has a buffet with anything you could want on it. Sorrento's was always the go to in between for pizza. One place you have to visit is Cups and Scoops... Cupcake Sunday... Your choice of cupcake and your choice of Ben and Jerry's ice cream with whatever toppings you want. The stateroom was amazing and always kept really clean. One thing that was surprisingly pretty clean all the time was the public restrooms, but the staff did a good job keeping everything clean. The entertainment was really good! The bands played well and singers sang well. Jazz band was a favorite. Boleros was always full of Latin flavor, and the Temperature band in Dazzles did a great Earth, Wind and Fire tribute. My favorite port of call was St. Martin, even though it's still pretty damaged from the two hurricanes, earthquakes, and tsunami they had. There are lots of damaged buildings, buildings that are completely gone, and shipwrecks in the water still. However, we did a cool excursion through Royal Caribbean that took us on a double decker bus to a rum tasting, gelato place, and cheese tasting. We also got to see Maho Beach for a short time. Overall, we had a blast! Spent too much and ate too much, but it was worth it and you only live once so we splurged a little. Read Less

Everyone on the Oasis was kind and polite. The ship had so many activities that I couldn't get to them all. The shore excursions were fantastic. The dining on board was varied and the service was great. Our housekeeper knew us by name and always spoke to us when he saw us. Everyone was willing to go out of their way to make our experience special. The only annoyance was getting off the ship at the ports and getting to the excursion meeting spot in a sea of people who didn't know what they were doing. The shore excursions crew were very vague about the meeting points, mostly just telling us "you'll see it." They also rushed us and threatened to leave us, but every single excursion started late. The excursions themselves were amazing. We snorkeled in Nassau, toured St. John when we stopped at St. Thomas (and still had plenty of shopping time in St. Thomas), and took a 6-hour island tour by boat in St. Maarten. In each case, the boat captains, taxi drivers, and crews were knowledable, fun, and polite. Read Less

I, my fiancee and her adult daughter, wanted to experience a cruise on one of the Oasis - class ships. We booked the Oasis of the Seas, and it was fabulous! I had never been on such a large ship before, and I was worried about how crowded everything might be, especially since I use a scooter. My worries were without basis, since the ship was easily-accessible and the staff we encountered were terrific. Our embarkation was incredibly fast and without any issues. Disembarkation was the same, even though we decided to handle our own luggage. Everyone made it so easy, and I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly it went. My fiancee and I had a Jr Suite with an oversized balcony, which was spacious and very comfortable. I use a scooter and I was pleasantly surprised at how much room there was for my scooter to be parked and even, turn around. Although we had signed up for "My Time Dining", we soon fell in love with the Windjammer, with so may options. Even though it was buffet-style, there was an overwhelming choice of food, with multiple desserts and more choices for appetizers, sides, entrees, etc. And best of all, you could go up for as many trips as you could fit! LOL Entertainment was professional and very high quality, which I would expect at locations like Las Vegas. We especially enjoyed the performance of Cats and the rock 'n roll revue, but every show we attended was wonderful. If you can't find something to do every minute of every day, then it's all your fault! There is something for everyone, and if nothing else, there are many pools and hot tubs available. Look for the free custard (cone) machines - they were a wonderful way to cool down after swimming or sunning. Drink service was also excellent, with staff coming around regularly to bring you your favorite drink. Our shore excursions were lots of fun, including our tour of the Atlantis at Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas. This resort is one of the best in the world, with lots of things to see and do. I stayed at the Atlantis in 1998 and there is so much more to it now. Make sure you get to see the amazing aquarium, with sharks, barracuda, manta rays, and many other genus of fish. Unfortunately, St Thomas did not offer any accessible tours, however, we made do with nearby shops, bars and restaurants. There was also free entertainment at the port (steel drum band). Our stopover at St. Maarten/St Martin, was good, with an accessible tour available. Our one disappointment was that there is still a lot of residual damage from hurricanes Irma and Maria, with missing roofs, walls and lots of tree damage. It was sad to see all the damage, especially after having been in St Maarten in 2009 and enjoying t very much. Overall, we were thrilled with our cruise and we look forward to another one soon. Whether you are a veteran cruiser or a newbie, Royal Caribbean knows how to treat you and you will soon be convinced that cruising is a great vacation alternative and experience. Read Less

The service we received on board was excellent! Our cabin attendant was always very cheerful and extremely helpful providing assistance throughout our voyage. We cannot say enough about the wait staff in the American Icon Dining Room. They exceeded our expectations every night. We felt welcomed every time we dined there and they even remembered our names. That's quite a feat considering how many people they serve on a daily basis. The excursions were fun as well. However, we were very dissappointed with the 5 Star Island Tour in St. Thomas. The staff at Magen's Bay (gift shop/restaurant/bar) were rude and unaccommodating. They had beach umbrellas but refused to rent them even though it was a very hot day. They had negative attitudes toward the guests and service was very slow. The beach was beautiful but until the vendor enhances their customer service, I would not recommend this excursion. Other than that, we had a great experience on this sailing! Read Less

The ship and itinerary matched the experience I was looking for. Stayed in Crown Loft Suite. I think this is the best suite/room I have stayed in on any ship. I like the ports of call with Nassau being the least favorite. Would have rather spent a day in Labadee or Cocoa Cay instead of Nassau. The amount of time in Nassau is too short to enjoy the expensive water park at Atlantis and too long if you are just in the market area. The rest of the island is pretty sketchy. Saint Thomas and Saint Marten are recovering from the hurricanes steadily and are great ports of call. Tivi resort in Saint Marten was a great place to spend the day. Clean bathrooms, restaurants, shops and bars. Good selection of water sports as well. The Oasis is now my favorite class of ship. The only suggestion is to add water slides (on Oasis itself) for the kids like other ships have. Dining at Coastal kitchen and access to the concierge lounge made the cost for a loft suite hold more value. Complimentary drinks throughout the day and evening was also a bonus. Main dining room was good and having other complimentary dining such as park cafe was a nice change. Wi-Fi was also included and worked better on board this ship than it had on others. Always enjoy the on board entertainment, quality performances by very talented individuals. Overall it was a great vacation and we were blessed with great weather and flat seas. I highly recommend the Sky class suite experience if you can get a decent deal. Though it isn't cheap it comes with many perks and advantages. The drawback is once you have experienced this level (or higher like Star class), you wont want to go back. Its the difference of flying first class VS coach, except you live it 24-7 for a week. The ship was absolutely beautiful. The entertainment was incredible especially the Aqua show and the Headliner show. We stayed in an ocean view balcony room on the 10th floor. I thought it was quite spacious and waking up to the view of the ocean is priceless. We mostly ate breakfast and lunch at the Windjammer Cafe because we had dinner reservations at many of the specialty restaurants. Giovannis was a great Italian place right in the Central park area of the ship. We also bought the Chefs table which was incredible. The wine and food were exceptional. Everything from start to finish was perfect. The only con I would give is the time spent in line waiting for our shore excursions that we purchased. We waited outside in the sun for an hour waiting for them to take us to a shuttle for our excursion. Did get very frustrating especially since we were only at places for a couple hours. I do understand that they need to organize a lot of people, but waiting over an hour was a bit redic. This is my only con though. Everything else was absolutely perfect!!! We did end up eating with another couple nights two on. It was GREAT> The food was AMAZING. Many choices for appetizers, main dish and dessert! Our room was GREAT. We booked a little late but the room fit our needs very well! Alex our room Steward was AMAZING . . . Hope we have him on another cruise. Best cabin Steward we have ever had with Royal Caribbean! ! ! We enjoyed Bermuda the best as we have been to St Thomas and St Martin several times but we still enjoyed them! We love doing our own thing at ports of call and did so this time. We enjoyed the sea day too. There were many activities on the ship but again we did our own thing. Both embarkation and debarkation went VERY smoothly! Cruising with Royal Caribbean is easy & hassle free. Beach towels are readily available, as well as bathroom re-stocking. Being on The Oasis of the Seas is like a floating city because of the restaurants, activities, shows, & constant events. If you like to relax, it’s also the perfect place to just lay out, swim, join the spa or hot tub, & just have drinks (or eat literally anytime you want). The food is my favorite part. The main dining rooms have elaborate 3 course meals, & the Windjammer has a huge variety from breakfast, lunch, dinner, & desserts. This doesn’t even include the restaurants on board. I felt totally relaxed the entire trip. The service and staff are incredible. The ship is unbelievable, clean, up to date, with more things to do than you can possibly accomplish in 7 nights. Some of the other, more negative reviews, complain that the ship is very full and reservations are required for most things. While this is true, I feel that RCI is very up front about this and give you many opportunities to make said reservations. It's unfortunate if some people did not realize this, but even on a full cruise like mine it was still possible to get into many of the larger events without a reservation. Smaller events like the aqua show and the comedy club are a little trickier. Specialty restaurants were never full, but I'd still recommend reserving them if at all possible, especially Izumi as they only have two hibachi tables and fill up quickly. The food in the specialty restaurants was incredible and a great value. These are meals that on land would cost you $100-$200. The quality of the food, the selection, the staff, everything is top notch. I can't say the same for the main dining room, however. We had one meal in there and the food was worse than in the buffet. It's incredibly loud and the service was not up to par. I'd recommend buying the specialty restaurant package and sticking with that, supplementing with Sabor/Johnny Rockets if need be. I'd also recommend avoiding the windjammer for breakfast. The food is good enough, but the crowd is ridiculous. There are plenty of other places to eat breakfast for free that won't be such a hassle. My overall point being that even on a ship with 6,000+ people, if you manage your time wisely, make reservations for things that require them, and spend a little extra on the food/drink packages, you'll have a fantastic time. If all you're going to do is eat at the windjammer/main dining room, pay as you go for drinks, and just chill by the pool, you may want a smaller and less crowded ship. Read Less

We chose this cruise ship because it's one of the bigger ships of Royal Caribbean. What a great decision we made! The ship was gorgeous and there so much to do we didn't get a chance to do everything even though we had a 7 day cruise. We tried to attend every event we could. The activities were amazing! We loved the Aqua Theater, what great talent. They kept us entertained the entire time! The Headliner show (Las Vegas Tenors) had amazing voices, they were awesome! Frozen in Time, oh my goodness! It was Amazing!! That was such amazing ice skating skills. They told a story with every movement! Its a must watch!! You cannot miss it. Come Fly with me show was great also. Our dining experience was amazing. We had a waiter that was so attentive and professional. The food was delicious! My husband even chose 2 plates at times because it was so good! Read Less

This was our first RCI cruise, after several on Carnival. My favorite thing was the ship's layout, which was very well designed and surprisingly efficient, considering the number of passengers. However, the staff service was very hit-and-miss. Some of the crew were amazing (our room steward and head waiter and Champagne Bar staff were all great). Some of the other staff (particularly those from Jamaica) were passive-aggressive or outright rude. Overall on the ship, I felt 'nickel-and-dimed' at every turn, which is tacky. The dining room is made to feel second class next to the "premium" restaurants, which are heavily and repeatedly advertised all over the ship. There was a constant message that "if you aren't paying extra, then you're missing out". For food, there were no decent hamburgers or tacos without paying extra in the specialty restaurants (yes, the buffet had a semblance of both at times, but the quality was sorely disappointing). In comparison, Carnival ships have both Burger and Burrito/Taco offerings, as well as Mongolian Grill and Italian restaurant options included at no extra cost, which added great value and a sense of class. Our stateroom attendant made us feel special, was genuinely caring and he had great attention to detail. Our room was spotless and he never missed a thing. He was somehow always there, but yet never underfoot (we called him our 'room ninja'). Our favorite bartenders were at the Champagne Bar. Before the cruise, I was most excited about the Irish Pub, but ends up it had the worst service on the ship, even after several attempted visits on different days, and they kept running out of things! One day no Hefeweizen (so I went to Sabor, and they had it there). The next day, no Stone IPA. And for the whole cruise, they didn't have key ingredients for many of their specialty cocktails on the menu. Drink service in the main dining room was very slow, as it would normally take 10 or 20 minutes for a glass of wine, and our drink waiter didn't know anything about wines. In Vintages (wine bar), the man working had absolutely no interest in discussing any of the wines that were included in the drink package, which we were eager to try and learn about. He only wanted to talk about $200+ bottles, or the $80 tasting event. When we politely declined his (continual) offers to up-charge us, be became very stuffy and it was apparent he couldn't wait for us to leave and go somewhere else. So we left, skipping the tapas we planned to purchase. As a whole, the bar staff on the ship worked very, very hard to accommodate all of the guests, mostly to impressive results (excusing a handful of rude crew), but it was clear that they were significantly understaffed which was wearing on them, and therefore impacting the final quality of both the drinks and the service. This could have been greatly improved with a few more hands to help during busy times. On Labadee, we weren't able to eat. One side of the island didn't have enough plates, so the line was long and wasn't moving. So we walked to the other side of the 'island', and while they had plates, the line was just as long. We checked back in an hour for the lines to die down, but they remained until it closed, so we didn't eat. (Granted, we could have stood in line for 30 minutes, but who wants to do that). Drinks were abundantly available and bar service was very quick however. The local Haitians were pushy and obnoxious every time we walked by. They would yell "hey! hey! hey! I have an important question!" to try and get us in their shop, or they would tell passing ladies how beautiful they were to try and make them stop. Some variant of this happened at least 25 times to us, so I didn't want to go that way again. For shows, the comedians were the best show the whole week! They were clever and witty, without being too crass. We watched the family and the adult show. I would have VERY MUCH enjoyed more standup comedy shows, instead of the same show repeating every night of the cruise. In conclusion, it was a very enjoyable cruise, and we are happy to have tried the world's largest cruise ship. I still think that Carnival has a better included Menu and a nicer Crew, but RCI certainly wins with the best ship! My wife loved Central Park and the large variety of well manicured plants (she is a landscape designer), and even with a full ship, it was always possible to find a quiet 'neighborhood' to get away. Thank you for a great week! Read Less

The person that worked on out room was great. Very friendly and accommodating. She have an excellent knowledge of the ship and what was going on and answered every question we had. Also, the service and food on the My-Time-Dining was excellent. My wife and I are telling all our friends and family how great the service was. We like so much the service and attention from all in the ship that we already booked 2 more cruises. We are looking for 1 or 2 cruises a year. Please be sure to let them know how much their services are appreciated. I was planning to take a lazy week at sea (3 cruising days) to rest from the toils of work. Well, I was wrong. There is so much to do and the shoes are great that I need a vacation to rest from the vacation.  The people on the Royal Caribbean cruises are wonderful. Read Less

We highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend Royal Caribbean to everyone!!! This was our first cruise and honeymoon cruise and it was just extraordinarily fantastic! Really, there aren’t enough words or emotions to express how wonderful the overall experience was on the Oasis of the Seas! The entire staff is very friendly, the shows are like watching blockbuster shows, the activities are endless, the food is like eating at a 12 star restaurant the entire sailing, the cruise director and captain is very informative and caring for all the guests, the stateroom was barely lived in because there was sooo much fun to experience but the balcony is definitely the way to go when sailing!! The ports staff is just as grand! The excursions was an absolute blast! I could write an entire novel on the whole experience but I just want to tell everyone that sees this, take a leap of faith and do Royal Caribbean, I promise you will not be disappointed one bit!!! Thank you Royal Caribbean!!! Read Less

We chose this cruise because our Friends would like to do their 1st cruise in the Oasis And we like the ports Bahamas, St. Thomas And St. Maarten. We like the drink package that comes with it, the prepaid gratuities, And the internet that comes with the drink package. Plus it’s Amenities And activities on Board. Embarkation is smooth, checking in early is better to avoid the long lines and you get in the ship and get to relax. Do not bring Iron, power bars this will be confiscated and cause luggage delay. Laundry is 35$ for 1 bag ( shirts, shorts, undies and socks)which they offer on the 3rd day. Unless you are willing to pay for pressing a pair of pants would cost 6.99 for wash and press. For activities, there’s miniputt, ping pong tables, court , pools . This ship has more amenities than the Disney Fantasy. Food is better this time , more variety and tastes better. Although they can serve more seafood like mussels and shrimps in the buffet area. They have burgers and hotdogs at the wipeout cafe but it’s not grilled. I wonder why can’t they have a griller in this ship. People would have lined up more for these items if they are grilled. We bought a drink package which is very handy to order drinks from different bars at different levels. Thanks to our favorite bartenders in the Pool Bar Rupesh Bhoir( India ) , Rolin Mendoza ( Philippines) , Oleh ( Ukraine) in the Sand bar. They left a lasting impression for providing service with a smile no matter how busy it is. But our favorite is the Pool Bar the bartenders are always happy and smiles all the time. We also love the service we have at the Glibe atlas, the bartenders are nice and makes sure we get our drinks on time and the drinks are really good. With this package you can order specialty coffee and I also get my smoothies or shakes in Vitality Cafe which is really nice. I also get the free internet package. Wifi is good everywhere in the ship considering my phone was on Airplane mode the whole time. They have a gym which is really nice and a track if u want to exercise. For dining, we did the 815 pm dinner which really worked for us. Most of the time we sit in the bars in Globe Atlas or the bar that goes up and down and Schooners bar to pass the time before going to the shows. We went to a few shows we’ve seen most of them Last time . The comedy was really good!!! Thanks to Patricio Figueroa (Headwaiter ) , Jiadong( China) & Samuel ( India). They made our dining experience great and they even had a champagne toast for our friends celebrating their 30th anniversary. They went above and beyond in making sure that our meals and drinks were served in a timely manner. They are efficient and very friendly. The menu is better this time. It all tastes good. I had rack of lamb twice and they are delicious. The had 2 appetizers every time and they were all good. Entertainment was sort of a disappointment we enjoyed the music from the Band that played last oct 2017 at Dazzles and they’re not there anymore. The temperature band is OK but the music just doesn’t click to the crowd that everyone left as they were just starting to play their set. But we enjoyed miniputting, playing ping pong . There’s hardly any activities on the poolside. The Solarium restaurant is busy at lunchtime would be nice if they figure a way to separate the line from the salad bar as it gets blocked from people lining up to get food. There are times I have to get in line for the food even though I just want to get salad. Read Less

Chose this cruise because someone recommended it. I was not disappointed. The cabin bathrooms were a little small to move around in. The specialty restaurants were great. Chops is a fav of most for steaks however, I found Giovanni's to be superior (ask for server Salah) and the Chateaubriand at 150 Central Park is amazing as well. This is all organic and I was a little skeptical. I am so glad we gave it a chance. An added little surprise, The unsalted butter has about 6 different salts from all over the world to salt the butter with. The ship has a variety of things to do while you are sailing even when it is raining. We saw the musical Cats this first night and it was very "Broadway" and the performers were very talented with great voices. I don't want to forget Come Fly With Me which is a great short production of musical numbers. One tip...Don't sit in the balcony during this production as there are lots of aerial activities and hard to see from that angle if at all. All in all, The unlimited soda is great if you don't mind carrying a cup around which I did. you could go in and get a drink and bottled water, however, I didn't know bottled water was included until the 3rd day and felt very dehydrated due to my lack of knowledge. All in all, I would recommend this Cruise and will probably go back again. Read Less

This cruise was our 3rd on the Oasis class ships and 6th Royal Caribbean. We booked a Royal Suite Star Class and booked cabin 1758. We received a Royal Genie. The Royal Genie contact starts 6 weeks prior requesting you to fill out a questionnaire to get information to assist them in providing you with a exceptional cruise that you will not forget. I can assure you of that as it definitely will. Then 4 weeks, then 2 weeks then days before you will receive a Royal Caribbean Loop messaging service. The only thing to know about this Loop servicing is that it is not a App! It is only for messaging as you do not receive any notification icon or sound alerting you to an incoming message. You would have to keep it open to see any incoming messages from your Royal Genie. Every member of the ship treats you like royalty. When you are in this level of a Star class suite as on the Oasis there are only 11 cabins who receive a Royal Genie and there are 3 dedicated to this ship. 2 Royal Genies each get 4 cabins and 1 get 1 cabin. One thing I confirmed is that when Royal caribbean states Gratuities included it is not for the Royal Genie. A Genie gets about $22500 yearly salary from what I saw on their job application. Even tough they prefer not to accept a tip, I gave my Genie a generous tip as they definitely give you a Royal Class experience at every moment. The get you into any restaurant, show, reserve places on the ship for you at anytime. There is never a cannot do that. You receive complimentary food and beverages, champagne every day to our cabin. All beverages in our cabin is stocked daily. We did Chops for Day 1 and Day 5 and I must say the food is EXCEPTIONAL! We did 150 Central park on day 2 for our Anniversary. From 150 to any other restaurant we just loved the food. Especially Costal Kitchen for Suite Guest. We cannot wait to do our next cruise already booked next year in the same cabin. Read Less
