Oasis cruise, not as good as usual

This was our 4th trip on the Oasis, A Ship that we Love. When we chose this cruise a year ago both San Juan, and St. Maarten existed. Today San Juan is the home to devastation and crime, and St. Maarten, Orient Beach are almost entirely gone. Only the nude section exists and the Restaurant is barely standing. The road to Orient was never very good but now its just potholes and ...

Got a last minute deal and was closer to drive for us Windjammer breakfast was poor, overdried toats, dried waffles, hard pastries (croissants, donuts for the whole week),missing fruits, missing tables and lots dirty tables. Main dining room for supper :often tables not ready (wait time 20 min) food overcooked (fish, lobster, lasagna) and often not hot,(lukewarm) often brought coffe after we had ...

This was a get together for extended family. We were assigned my time dining and I was unable to get a reservation before 8:45 pm 2 months before sailing. Again I tried onboard and failed. Doesn’t work when you have little kids along, problems trying to get solarium bistro and coastal kitchen. Had to resort to The Trough (Windjammer) some nights. It was loud and crowded. Lunch food was not ...

Rubbish ports and rocky journey

I chose royal carribean having heard of its reputation as the largest and best cruise liner. I have previously travelled on princess and Msc cruise ships but unfortunately the overall experience did not match up to these two cruise lines. The ports St. Thomas, San Juan and labadee were really poor, as were all the excursions. Be aware that there’s nothing to do in San Juan activity wise except ...

We chose this ship for our Christmas gift to each other. And Port Canaveral is only 45 minutes away from our house, and the good reviews it has received on, Cruise Critic. This ship is huge! if you have any mobility problems this is not for you! Walking stem to stern is 1,800 feet make this trip just for your meals and you’ve walked 1 mile. Shipboard activities, any activity, that ...

I chose this cruise for the price- thought I was getting a good deal 1st day I got a note from ship stating that since I hadn't picked a time for "My time dining" they had set me up complimentary at the Solarium Bistro. When we went to the Bistro it was full so wound up going to the buffet for dinner. When I tried to make reservation for the main dining room later, I was told it was booked for ...

Poorly designed ship with tiny pools and limited kid activites (8 and 11 y.o.)

Terrible for kids over 5 years of age (they get a little splash pool). No water slides, terrible pools, and very inadequate activities in general. In order for ship to sell tons of balconies they created these open spaces running through the middle of the ship. But that gutted the top deck and thus the swimming pools. Got soda package and only 4 soda areas on entire ship that we found (1100 feet ...

Deffinately not worth the money. Soo many things were an up charge(like I didn't spend enough getting on the ship already), and the people who were supposed to be in charge of guest service were terrible. The only people who were actually good at interacting with the customers were the wonderfull people in the dining and the super sweet people who cleaned my cabin. I came with my family and in the ...

11th Cruise with RCCL - Not a good experience for our group

We chose this cruise because of the original itinerary and ports, but due to hurricanes we were not able to visit those ports - we were rerouted from Eastern Caribbean (St. Maarten, San Juan, Labadee) to Western Caribbean (Nassau, Costa Maya and Cozumel). We were celebrating 3 big life events on this cruise and had planned it almost 2 years ago, so we were excited and certainly not looking for ...

I booked Eastern Caribbean, due to the hurricanes beating up Puerto Rico and St. Martin the original ports. RC decided to drop us off in the Bahamas and Mexico. Rather than providing a discount or refund for a Western Caribbean cruise that I didn't want, having been to the Bahamas and Mexico. I wanted off this cruise and they would not even offer me a refund ! Costa Maya is a filthy, poor, ...
