Have not liked Carnival in the past so we thought we would try Royal Car. as one last shot. We Loved it! There was never a moment that there wasn't something to do. Loved loved loved having a balcony. If you have never tried it, it is worth it! George our attendant made it so fun to return to the room all day long. Not only did he have it spotless every time, there was always a fun surprise awaiting us. Whether it was a towel animal or special glasses for the wine he saw we had brought with us. The staffs' dedication was impressive. The Rock climbing wall, Flo rider, and zip line were so fun! We also indulged at the Hot dog shop, often! The staff were so fun and welcoming. Find a bar you are comfortable with and you will love frequenting it throughout the day. Very disappointing, so much money spent for the cruise and still there were huge expenses if you wanted to eat at any of the specialty restaurants. I would rather they didn't have the specialty places than tease you with the potential. Shopping on the cruise was not on our To-do list so I can't comment about that. We did not have children with us so some of the things we did not partake in. Our excursion in Haiti was wonderful;Zip line over the ocean!!! A definite must. Due to weather in Jamaica, our other excursion was cancelled. We hired a taxi driver outside the gates to take us in a private tour. SO worth it! Overall, I can't wait to cruise again! Definitely with Royal Caribbean, Probably not on such a huge ship since we did not participate in as many things as there were available and want ALL of the restaurants to be included. Read Less

We chose Oasis because we wanted to try one of the BIG ships. We loved the neighborhoods, especially Central Park and Deck 5 where Globe and Atlas Pub was located. Embarkation was very quick and smooth as was disembarkation. The cabin was spacious with plenty of storage area. Chops Grille was wonderful as usual, as was the main dining room. The Comedian Show was very funny! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is plenty to do in fact we were unable to do all we wanted. The ship never felt crowded except for waiting for rooms during embarkation. Rarely had to wait for a drink at any of the bars we visited. The ship is in remarkable condition for nearly 10 years old. The Rising Tide bar was really awesome! It was an amazing vacation! I would recommend Oasis of the Seas to anyone. We plan to cruise an Oasis Class ship again in the future. Read Less

My husband an I never had a honeymoon and we were celebrating our 25th anniversary with a romantic honeymoon cruise. Everything was gorgeous. The boat was beautiful I just couldn't understand the marvelous arcutecture structure of something so wonderful floating on water. Our cabin was always immaculate, the attendant was the best. Our cabin was located in a garden , "Central Park'" it was beautiful. Every night we took long walks through the garden and some nights we just sat on the balcony and took in the elegant scene. There was always things to do. Games to play, drawings for prizes. Everyday they were giving away something. My husband and I have already planned our next cruise on Allure of the seas and we're hoping everything is just as special on the Oasis of the sea sister ship. We'll be taking it around the same time we'll be celebrating our sons high school graduation. We might do something special with our cabin for him.This was the best vacation ever Read Less

Price & accommodations & ports of call were reasons for traveling. Boarding & exiting ship was the easiest we ever had & no problem with customs. Cabins were clean , spacious, the views were phenomenal from our stateroom, the dining staff were excellent & entertaining & anticipated our likes & dislikes. The acoustics for some of the evening shows made it hard to understand what was being said, yet for the most part they were entertaining. Having a major broad-way production on board was one of the amazing shows but left one not to understand the shows' concept/story due to the poor acoustics. The costumes & dancing were great. The Aqua theatre performance with Olympian & professional experienced performers left us in awe.. The adult entertainers also were funny & had a great dialog with the audience. We have wanted to try this ship since it came out, we have been on eight other cruises with carnival and royal and we always have a good time but this cruise literally blows the rest away! From the moment we arrived at port it was very quick getting on board maybe 15-20 min. Once we stepped on, well, WOW!!! What a ship! there is sooo much to see and do we didn't know where to start, we avoided the windjammer bc we knew it would be packed, went to the hotdog stand instead and enjoyed boardwalk, we did not go to main dinning room but did try several specialty resturants, we ate at chops twice, very good, we did try to extra charge steak but where not impressed, we like the normally fillets better, we ate at givonnis and it was good as well, the mexican resuraunt sabor was good but our waiter made it even better, what great service this ship staff gives! We ate at johnny rockets and the burgers are great, go there for breakfast, not many do and its free for breakfast and not as crowded, also try their milkshakes, yes they do cost extra but totally worth it! ben and jerrys ice cream is very good and a nice option from just frozen yogurt machines. Our room was nice but a lilttle warm, suggest bringing a small fan, no big deal. We played at the casino and did very well, I won at table games several times and even hit a slot machine jackpot for $984.02! We went to the art auction and enjoyed free champange and bought a few nice pieces, the staff here is exceptional! we had been to the ports several times so this cruise was all about the ship for us, and it did not disappoint. We went to the spa several times and we recommend trying the couples mud bath and bath ritual, very nice! we found ourselve constantly doing things and before we knew it the week was up and we had not even done half of the activities on board! so, we booked it again for next may and doing back to backs! Excellent restaurant experience, Giovanni's restaurant had the best food and selection. The waiter was the best I have ever had . . . and funny too. The Stateroom attendant did everything he could to see that we had the best experience. Our bed was too soft for my wife and the crew went out of their way to accommodate us. The ship was absolutely beautiful. I was enthralled with the beauty and majesty of the ship. The entertainment was top notch. I am still blown away by the ice skating and aqua theater shows. The performers were just excellent. The time went by too fast, I wish this was a two to three week cruise just to be able to take in all that the ship had to offer. The ports that we visited were amazing. The water was so blue and the people so friendly. I was just amazed at the overall experience. Read Less

Royal Caribbean is our favorite cruise line. Being on the Oasis was a pure joy. From the start of boarding to the end of the week we were enjoying all the amenities the ship could offer. I bought the liquor package and it was a good deal. The shows were top notch with entertainment especially the Headline and Aqua shows. The ports were good we had fun touring on our own and learning a little more about each destination. St. Maarten is our favorite spot and we enjoyed our time there but it did rain and we didn't get a chance to go in the ocean. St. Thomas is a very friendly place where liquor and jewlery items are very inexpensive but with high quality. The Oasis was a Hugh ship and it accommodated the 5500+ passengers with no issues. I would recommend this ship to anyone who is a first time cruiser or cruisers who look for fun and travel. We would surely cruise e Oasis again. Read Less

My husband and I traveled with 2 other couples, all in our 30s. Two of the members were experienced cruisers, two had cruised before but only a few times, and we had never cruised. I absolutely loved it! Rooms: The rooms were extremely spacious for a cruise ship, including the bathroom. Having a shower with doors was MUCH better than a curtain, and the little leg bar made shaving much easier. Food: The food in the main dining room was excellent. I highly recommend the main dining room for lunch. The Windjammer is OK if you're in a hurry, but a huge buffet of food will never have the same high quality as chef-plated meals. Our favorite breakfast was at Park Cafe in Central Park. Don't forget that your all-inclusive (alcohol) drink package includes morning smoothies in the main dining room and/or Spa cafe! Yum! Entertainment: "Cats" is not my favorite show (but I knew that beforehand). The Oasis of Dreams Aqua Show was fun, and the Frozen In Time Ice Show was INCREDIBLE. Don't miss it. The comedy was also great. The only thing lacking was an after-dinner-before-the-show activity that fit our age group; the only options were the jazz club (not my fave) or the 18-21 party (obviously a no). The best bet should have been the piano bar, but for some reason it got stuck in the 60's and 70's that week. Oh well, the drinks were strong and delicious, so just hanging out on deck or in one of the MANY common areas worked for us. Bonus tip: Check out the walking/jogging track. The views are incredible, and it's perfect for a gentle stroll after dinner, as well as a more serious workout if you're into that. Read Less

This was my first time cruising, and I can confidently say that I have no interest in looking into other cruise companies. My time on Royal Caribbean's 'Oasis of the Seas' met all of my cruising needs, and then some. Every single crew member that I interacted with seemed like they had a genuine interest in helping me. There are so many different things to do on this ship that I wish I would have had a few more days just to be able to check a couple more things off of my list. There are activities for people of all ages to participate in. I am 25, but was also travelling with my mom (53) and my grandfather (78) and we all had a blast. We were able to watch Cats on one of our first nights on board, it was amazing! We also went to a comedy show, and a the Headliner Show later on in the week. Both great sources of entertainment. We were really looking forward to a water show in the aqua theater that was cancelled a couple of times due to high winds and safety of the members of the show, but once we were able to watch it we were SO glad that we had the opportunity! Each of the shows that we watched, including Come Fly With Me, were very unique and visually appealing. We also enjoyed putt-putt golfing at our leisure, as well as zip lining!! The food options on this ship were AMAZING. Our main dining room was the American Icon, and the food was impeccable. The Windjammer was another place that we frequently ate, and although the food is served buffet style, there was no lacking in quality! All of the waitstaff at both venues were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Our stateroom was very clean and orderly. It even had more room than I was expecting. Our stateroom attendant is who really made our stay, though. It felt like every time we turned around, our stateroom attendant had already come in and spruced up our room. She really made us feel like we were at home. I think overall, the crew of this ship are truly what stood out to me. I have never felt so accommodated in my life. We like Port Canaveral and wanted to experience Oasis of the Seas. Our favorite ship has been the Freedom of the Seas up until now - very satisfied with everything and we probably could have spent another week or 2 onboard to see everything available. Jimmy and Magic Marvin please keep up the great work - you are both 2 of the best and we love you! To our fantastic dining room crew - you kept your roller skates on all the time but the great attitudes and fun experience of each meal was unbelievable and we just had a ball. Our fantastic stateroom attendant Fabio - always on time, never missed a beat or a request - THANK YOU!! Schooner Bar - Natalie Castillo, you are a keeper. For some relaxation and fun in the sun. And to swim with the dolphins, and to shop in the ports. The dolphin swim groups were too large and you were only able to stand there and most of the interaction was with the handler and the dolphin. I thought it to be very expensive to only touch a dolphin, and watch it perform while we stood in water not quite waist deep. I found the handler very bossy and almost rude. I for one would never pay that again. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our cruise experience. The staff was always very helpful especially our dining waiters and our cabin attendant was a wonderful gentleman who loved to surprise us each night with our towel critters. Our cabin was always neat and clean,,Leslie for 11296 was a gem. Speaking of gems,, then you have Michael and Megan, they were exceptional at their jobs,,and yes we bought a lovey ring,,or so,,lol I for one learned a lot more about what I wear in jewelry. Because I'm a diamond member on Royal Carribean and wanted to try a larger ship expierence. Being on the 8th floor, we could literally walk out to Central Park. The cafe is we we had lunch everyday. It beat the busier places. The Solarium restraunt was excellent way to beat the crowd for breakfest. Both were excellent in quality food. The main dining room service was the best. The food was top notch with my favorite escargot every night ! Ice show and diving show were excellent. Cats was the broadway show. It was good but long. We put alot of time on the walking/jogging track on floor 5. Beautiful sunsets seen here. Stayed on the boat for Labadee and Jamaica. Done that. Boat was ours on that day. Cozumel is one of our favorite stops. Getting off the boat was a breeze. We tried the carry your own bag and was off in 45 minutes (6:45). Read Less

Every one was great. Very attentive and helpful. Some of them my time servers were terrible but Yatin was the best. Also , Rohan a bartender was very Good we always looked fro him. The service was wonderful. We had a great time. The shows were great the adult programming was wonderful the adult solarium was a great place to relax we love the schooner bar and also we love the rising tide bar. I've been on several world Caribbean cruises and I love the oasis class it has everything you want and more to do. Plus there are so many places to eat on the ship so you don't have to only eat in the Windjammer you can eat all over the ship we hardly ever ate in the Windjammer and ate all of the ship and had great food. There are so many choices for breakfast and lunch so you don't have to only go to one place if you're looking for a lot of fun we are looking for a place with a lot of choices the oasis class is the best for you Read Less

We went with 16 family members on this ship last June. Loved that trip as well. Had to return as a couple, without our kids and grandkids, to enjoy on our own. Loved it! So much to do and enjoy. Great staff. Delicious meals. Quiet and comfortable room. We enjoyed the Central Park area on the ship the most. Beautiful evening performances outside in the delightful breezes. Trees, shrubs and even orchids all over. Wonderful atmosphere! The bars such as Dazzles has talented entertainers. The shows are fun and memorable. The spa was right around the corner from our cabin. Spa massage was excellent and professional. Dr. gave good info on services that could help arthritis and other ailments. Easy to get to exercise equipment. Solarium area just for adults was lovely. Ports were clean and their were safeguards to be sure we had good experiences with locals. Royal Caribbean does a fabulous job ensuring your enjoyment. Read Less

This was a belated honeymoon trip for us and it was everything we could hope for and more. Our room steward was absolutely amazing. He took care of everything and made sure we were always happy. On many occasions he went above and beyond what we could have dreamed of. For example, my wife asked for a bucket of ice on one occasion, and from that time on he brought fresh ice two times a day. We were scheduled to disembark at 11, which was too late for us as we had a long drive home. He chenged it to 9:00 which was perfect for us. Our waiter at the main dining room was great as well. He always knew what we wanted and took great care of us. Our stops were overall good. Labadee was fun with the exception of dealing with the merchants at the marketplace. I would suggest avoiding that area completely. We did the Dolphin Encounter in Cozumel and it was a blast. There was so many fun things to do on the ship it would have taken another week to do them all. Read Less

Everything was perfect. Looking forward to our next cruise on Royal Caribbean. We were most impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the crew -- at all levels on the Oasis of the Seas. 1. Our stateroom attendant for JS-14636 was very helpful. He went out of his way in satisfying all of our needs (and did so with a smile on his face). 2. We had the 5:30PM seating in the Grande Dining Room (Deck 4 - Table 513). Special thanks go to our Head Waiter, our Waiter and our Assistant Waiter. They all did an outstanding job. We do have a complaint however dealing with TV channels. There are very limited TV channels that cover news, especially USA news. The majority of cruisers departing from USA ports reside in the USA, and would prefer more USA news. I miss the old days when RCI carried the FOX News Channel. Please bring back the FOX News Channel. As a minimum, please substitute the USA version of CNN when ships depart from USA ports. Read Less

We chose this cruise to go to the Eastern Caribbean. We have always wanted to visit the US VI. We celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary. From the time we booked the trip with RC telephone staff to the time we exited the ship we felt like Royalty. The boat is huge and in the 7 days on it we did not see every inch. The shows, dining and activities were great!! There is something for everyone on this boat. It is very family friendly. It only took us a 5 hour drive to get to Port Canaveral. Our Embarkation went smoothly. I would probably get there a bit earlier next time. We arrived at 1230. It only took one hour to get through Customs and then onto the ship. Our room was ready once we arrived. The room was clean. A balcony is a must. The view was always amazing and getting fresh air anytime you wanted was a plus. The t.v. channels were good. Several different languages for all guests. The buffets were excellent. Something for everyone. We did an excursion at every port. Loved St Marten. Will definitely go back there. The staff onboard were always willing to help. I felt as if they all truly wanted our time to be special and memorable. I can't wait to again and take our 4 kids. This boat/cruise line definitely is a step above any other. The shows were amazing. CATS was playing. Very professional. Also the ice show and the Come Fly with me were great. I can see why this ship is named "Oasis of the Seas".... it truly is!! Read Less

We wanted to try out one of the BIG ships and were pleasantly surprised. The first day dinner was very busy and the Windjammer was packed with folks for the first breakfast. We decided early on to checkout other places on ship for breakfast. Our only tip would be to be sure and make reservations for dinner times and show times before you sail. As an alternative to the Windjammer which got really crowded at times, we enjoyed the Solarium Bistro for breakfast, lunch and dinner one night. It was amazing that so many people were on the ship but there never was a long wait for an elevator. Central Park was amazing and the whole ship was nice just to stroll thru. Only negative thought was to be sure and check your final bill. We didn't look closely enough until we got home and had been charged $50 for pool towels which were returned the day of use. Read Less

Had the size ship I was looking for and the ports of call that I wanted. Wanted a large boat with a nice Suite available. I got all of this and so much more. The cruise was incredible. I just wish I had known what comes with the Suites. I should have read more on this site about that. Learning curve was quick once we got on board. Partial blame to my TA for not informing me of the added and wonderful additions to being in a Suite. Food was incredible and the drinks were great. The Staff was by far the highlight. They took care of everything for us. What a wonderful vacation. Just getting on and off the ship being in a Suite made the cost worth while. It was quick and they took great care of you. Loved the many activities aboard the ship, great food and crew service! Price for cruise was good but did not like the automatic gratuity added to my billing; prefer to pay those respects directly to crew members that earn that compensation by making the cruise enjoyable. Found the food service wait staff particularly professional, humorous, witty and very attentive to our needs (Nicolas from Serbia and Natalia from Ukraine). Not impressed with the Nassau Port of call, somewhat liked St. Thomas but loved St. Martin best of all. Found the Duty Free Liquor to be priced higher than on the Islands. Loved the Beaches and Island atmosphere at each of the Ports of call. Finally, the best part of the cruise was my wife's visit to the Ships Spa where Dr. Arena administered acupuncture to her which significantly reduced her pain. As a result, she will continue that treatment regiment when we return to Florida. Read Less

Best food, Most entertainment and activities, outstanding shore excursions and wonderful friendly and courteous staff. Every eating place is good. You can not go wrong by booking a cruise on this Ship. There is something to do for any age group. Lots of sport activities to keep those teenagers busy. We enjoyed watching the youth and young adults try their athletic ability at knee boarding and surfing. There is a full length basketball court where all ages can exercise and meet new people while playing one of the beloved American sports. The court is converted into a soccer court to give others a chance to show their expertise in this sport. Family sports such as miniature golf, table tennis, arcade games renew those family rivalries For those who may like a little less activity, one can choose to see a popular play like "Cats" or one of the Royal Caribbean's own productions. Don't miss Dream Works that takes place at the Aqua Theater where world renown divers and swimmers have their own production in the pool. Both a thrilling and elegant performance by all. All the cafes and restaurants we visited were excellent. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection. Servers were fast and friendly service. There were numerous excursions offered for you to choose from each day we docked at a port. One of my favorites was at Laradee Haiti where the Royal Caribbean has leased this peninsula and developed it into a world of activities. A private beach, local crafts, zip lines, wave runners. boat tours. parasailing and much more. By far if you have not sailed on the Royal Caribbean you have not sailed on the top cruise line of this century. Read Less

This was our very first cruise and we were not sure what to expect but had heard good things about Royal Caribbean. From the moment we entered the ship we were amazed with all the amenities and when we opened the room to the Suite we were completely speechless with the room, furnishings and the balcony, all were just so amazing. Our room attendant "Salvano" was helpful beyond belief. He was so very helpful everyday and always had the answer to our every question, concern and room need.He is truly a credit to his craft and goes very much above and beyond. We were assigned to dinner in the Grande and we were treated every night as though we were ROYALTY, The room is huge and very beautiful but the beauty in that room are the waiters staff. Our waiter/ attendant "Bong" was so very very helpful, efficient, and extremely friendly. He and his assistant "Lima" met our every need. I must say that we felt so blessed that we dressed formal 5 days out 7 days. On one night the party that sat with us had a birthday and on another night my wife and I celebrated 40 yrs marriage. In both cases Head Waiter "Patricio" lead his team in singing and making us all feel very special. If I were to rate lead waiter "Bong" on a scale from "1 to 10 " I would give him a "15." He was just so very nice and friendly. He gave us good information and was always concerned that we were happy with the food selection and that we were satisfied and always with a warm smile. Patricio, Head Waiter, is outstanding, going through the dinning room and greeting everyone. You have a very great team. On the very last night Patricio lead the staff through the dinning room singing and making us all feel very special. What a great experience. Patricio is everywhere. He is always very visible, friendly, helpful to the staff and personable to diners. Truly a great asset to Royal Caribbean. We took 3 excursions, Bahama and Pearl Island, St Thomas and St Martin. These went well but there may be some efficiency to be had with wait time, food service and tour information but the experience was well worth the money. I would like to thank Royal Caribbean for the greatest vacation that I have ever had. The food, the shows, things to do, and especially the staff courtesy and friendliness. The grand and spectacular parade on the Grande Promenade was simply the greatest. The other shows were well done and very entertaining. The shows we saw were good and I am listing each that I saw with a rating for each. We have sailed on Oasis in the past and knew we'd have an excellent time booking another cruise on this ship. The variety of activities is second to none. Love this ship! The shows were excellent. Loved the high diving and ice show. The comedians were great. The dining experience was exceptional. Loved the variety of activities offered on board. Can do as little or as much as you like. Enjoyed the solarium area. The days at seas were spaced nicely with the days in port for relaxation between excursions. The transportation offered through Royal Caribbean to Cape Canaveral Port worked out great. No worries renting a car and having to navigate in an unknown area. Could rely on the experienced personnel to get you to the ship with no problem. Loved that luggage was brought to cabin and we were free to board ship and start our cruise experience. We have a large family and all 24 of us went on the Oasis of the Seas. It was totaly awesome in so many ways, but the one thing that made it the best cruise EVER for one of our grandsons is that he is a Special Needs child with Spina Biffida and cannot walk. He has always wanted to be able to ride the flow rider like his brothers and sisters. One of the sports staff members (Rocky) actually got on the board with him so he could ride. Then the second time he stood beside him and it allowed him to ride on his own. That one event alone made the entire cruise worth the cost. Also the putt-putt course on the Oasis in flat enough that he was able to play from his wheelchair. Our only bad experience was with the photo staff. We had pre-arranged and paid for a private photo session due to such a large family. We also had numerous other picture taken all around the ship as well as on land. When we went to choose our package we were told we could NOT combine the pictures takes by the photographer of our private session with the pictures taken by the other ships photographers on and off the ship. They made us by two separate packages. Read Less

Our first cruise, on the Oasis of the Seas, was phenomenal. I am so glad I picked this cruise to go on. My husband was leery about going on a cruise but now he says that he would go back any time. Which has me soo excited. We plan to go again within the net year. The service on the ship were amazing. I can not say enough good things about our Steward and Waiter Ashley and Robyn. The food was great. The service was great. The stateroom that we were in was wonderful. The only thing that I would change would be that we had to get up early to find a seat in the solarium. Which was filled up pretty fast. We also did the shore excursions. The one we did in the Bahamas was okay. We went on a discover Atlantis tour. I wished we had been able to see more of the resort. The one in St. Thomas was great. It was an excursion to Honeymoon Cove and Christmas Cove. The snorkeling was fun but the other was a small beach. The beach we went to in St. Maarten was fantastic. This excursion was called Beach Rendevous in St. Maarten. The beach there was the prettiest that I have ever seen. Read Less
