Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Passage ways were dirty. Main dining room food was of marginal quality. Exercise equipment was broken and in need of repair. Main headliner was of poor quality. Internet service for the price was terrible. It took 30 min. for an email page to load. Main show (CATS) was impossible to follow. Many guests left after the first intermission. The overall experience when compared to ...

The Oasis (love the ship ) had the worst food of any ship we have been on. This was our fifth time on RCL and it just continues to disappoint in the category of food, daily events (focus on spa, selling merchandise , drinking and casino ) and night time activities ( everything closes by 12:30 a.m. except disco and casino)Our party of 10 plus all agreed that Carnival , NCL and Disney are much ...

Surprised at how much the Oasis is in disrepair.

I wanted to experience an 8 night cruise and spend Christmas with my family in a special setting. I was very disappointed with the ships appearance. After spending 25k on the suite I expected more. Our suite was smaller than advertised and poorly laid out. My son and I hit our heads no less than 20 times on lights and light fixtures. The deck in our suite looked like it had not been cleaned in ...

Big Ship, Huge Disappointment

I will admit the ship is pretty and impressive looking. A very nice layout. Loved the different areas. But that's where the good ends. Walked aboard to one of two rooms that stunk from cigarette smoke. (Never completely eliminated by the staff, though they appeared to put effort in AFTER we complained. They should've noticed well before our arrival.) Huge crowd was watching Monday Night ...

Oasis of the Seas-First Time on Royal Caribbean

We previously had only cruised on Disney, but was looking for a change as our kids are getting older. Royal Caribbean is not for us. If you have ever cruised with Disney, I would avoid at all costs as you will be very disappointed. Positives Ship is impressive in size and is maintained well. Plenty of pools and hot tubs on board, so kids can have plenty of pool time in a less crowded ...

celebrating 50th wedding anniversary and Christmas. We paid almost double what we normally pay for a RCCL cruise, and expected something special in return The service on board was sub standard. We did not receive our invitation to cruise critic party, nor did we receive diamond plus amenities in our cabin. When we complained at guest services, on day 3, we were told we had missed cruise ...

Pros: service staff, room accommodations, spa, fitness center, number of activists for teens, quality of shows Cons: menu descriptions were inaccurate, food in main dining room not up to usual RC standards, loud in promenade, children allowed to run through bars and casino, no adult only area, Beef stroganoff was served with dill pickles and beets Chicken cordon blue with brown gravy and ...

Too many people, long lines, not the best itinerary, never saw aqua show

Ship was very clean and organized. But too many people onboard which lead to long lines ; not enough frozen yogurt machines, Aqua show was cancelled without being rescheduled ...onboard entertainment should really be updated - it's the same entertainment as over 5 years ago. Staff were very nice and very helpful, Food in main restaurant was cold when it was served. The windjammer had better ...

Disappointed RCI

We choose this ship after several rips out of Ft Lauderdale and Oasis was highly rated. Our problems started with a cramped balcony room # 6578, with little storage and a stuck closet door. It took me over one hour to fix the closet that was stuck on a safe door. The safe was in the closet and the door hung up. Needless to say a bad idea. We had intermittent hot water over the seven day voyage. ...
