Our 14th cruise w RC - unhappy w refurbished Oasis. Left feeling disgusted. Ambience, elegance gone. 1. Windjammer - crowded, staff unfriendly / staff & people bumping into you . Food - culinary gone / rotten fruit / tasteless / desserts stale / cookies burned, taste like shortening rather than butter / staff limited / fallen tray food left ...

Disappointed with the experience

I chose this cruise as a gift to my wife and kids. We had never been on any of the larger cruise ships before and I wanted to see what it was like for future experiences. The Pros: The Aqua 80's show was very good and entertaining. The BBQ restaurant (extra charge) was very good. We ended up eating there most nights. The private surf lessons were well worth it for my wife and kids. ...

I thought this would be a better alternative to a Disney cruise. The Youth clubs were aged disproportionately at 6-12 and 13 -17. Instead of 7-10, 11-14, 15-18 like most cruise ships. Therefore my 12 year felt too mature for one and too intimidated for the other where it was mostly older teenagers. The ship advertise ice skating, laser tag. However those activities are only once and twice during ...

Ringing in the New Year on a really big ship

I generally dislike larger ships, but we were planning a multi-generational cruise for the holidays, and the itinerary worked with our dates. We were a total of 11 people, ages 13-75, and booked 3 Grand Suites. Getting to the port in Miami was a nightmare, as 6200 people were leaving the port at the same time that many of us were arriving. We had a private van that we had booked with American ...

Noise In Our Stateroom Was A Nightmare

I booked this vacation for my children and I as their Christmas present . I selected this ship because of what was available to us onboard...a ton of activities to choose from, amazing food (we've been on several RC cruises) and great entertainment. I knew what to expect when I got onboard. When I booked the room the only thing in my price that was available was a stateroom with a balcony ...

This is my 27th RCCL cruise and I am at the Diamond Plus level. I am a "loyalist", as such as the cruise line tries to raise the bar of quality of food, service and entertainment. Those levels are expected on the next cruise and the next cruise, etc. Embarkment: Traveling via RCCL arranged bus transfers from Fort Lauderdale to Miami, the ride was smooth and we arrived at Terminal A, we were on ...

Great Ship for Entertainment but poor food and noisy cabin

Great entertainment except for Cats which was boring but had great actors. Food was pretty bad even worse than carnival. I realized that after eating a regular burger with no bun ...just the patty and noticed it was made of inferior beef or a mix of beef and perhaps vegetable protein. Even the lobster was pretty bad. Ate mostly fish which was pretty good. After 9pm...the only food you ...

Oasis was not like we remembered...

We chose this cruise because we had our 2 adult offspring & a spouse along (25 y/o son, 28 y/o daughter and 29 y/o son-in-law) thinking they would enjoy all the amplifications. Let me start by saying that (a) we had a fantastic time with our family - that part was everything we hope it would be and (b) this is our take - I think families with young children would LOVE this cruise. This was ...

Great Cruise Experience

The food was wonderful. The crew bent over backwards to make sure the guests are happy. Great selection of restaurants. Something for everyone okay. However, there is no program for solo travelers. I was happy to meet some Travelers that were also traveling alone. It made the trip much more enjoyable. However, if I had not gone to a meeting I would not have met these people. I think there should ...

Big Ship, Big Problems

We signed up to experience a Mega Ship. What we found was a beautiful ship with a wonderful variety of activities and a mixed bag of experiences. Getting on/off was remarkedly smooth and easy. Our balcony cabin on 8 worked well for the 2 of us. Ship had some motion despite fairly calm seas. Elevator waits reasonable. Casino was nasty smoky. Ship staff friendly. Felt nickel and dimed most ...
