Oasis of the Seas: The decline of Royal Caribbean Sky (Suite) class

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

**Oasis of the Seas: The decline of Royal Caribbean Sky (Suite) class** We are relatively long-time, avid fans of Royal Caribbean, having sailed 16 times in either Sky or Star class suites. What we have witnessed over the past several years is what must be the intentional, planned decline of Royal Caribbean’s suite-class experience. The Oasis of the Seas June 23-30, 2023 sailing from which we ...

Not as Royal as they used to be

Cruising w/ RC used to be a first class experience for all. I feel they are now just trying to squeeze as many people on a ship and get every last penny out of their passengers. First off, our balcony room on Deck 7 seemed smaller than other ships. When we arrived we found our room to be maybe 1/2 made, sheets off the bed, dirty linens found underneath the couch and speaking of the couch, the ...

Review from a handicapped senior couple

This cruise was more young family with children forward, and not great for a handicapped couple. Slides and water park options were not handicapped accessible. Adult only area on deck 15 had fantastic small cold pool and hot whirlpool options and accessible. Our healthy option would be the solarium buffet because it was clean and efficiently run. Both the Marketplace buffet and Main Dining Room ...

Disappointed-not as good as other Oasis class ships (Allure, Harmony) we've been on.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

We booked this cruise because we've enjoyed our cruises on similar class ships--especially Allure, then Harmony. Also, we booked well in advance and got a reasonable price. Wanted something that cruised out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. First, for the PRO'S: 1)The ship has an impressive look with the beautiful Central Park and fun Boardwalk. 2)This ship offered Pickleball every ...

Royal is going downhill

My husband and I booked this cruise a while back and we like the Oasis class ships. We have cruised quite a bit with Royal (Diamond Plus members) so we have experienced the good and the bad. Royal is losing their "shine" and "top notch" services. I read a while back about the menu changing and this was our first cruise experiencing that...I went in with an open mind - I will say I read in the ...

The "OK" Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

It's been 9 years since our last cruise and we booked this cruise sort of last minute. We were limited to one set of dates so I looked at a few different vacation options and ultimately opted for this cruise because I found a good deal on a balcony room - which we've never had before. I was also excited because this would be the largest ship we ever cruised on and never cruised on an "Oasis" class ...

I open my big yap and told the wife I wanted to take a cruise on one of them huge boats. I don’t remember the name.. Stupendous of the Briny, or something like that. After six months of bank account draining payments, I find myself boarding a ship about the size of Kansas. Now the one that we're on is the one that has the central park in the center (of course) and a water show at the ...

Beautiful ship, understaffed, too crowded, too loud, poorly set up

This was my 25th cruise but my first on a ship this large. There was more diversity among the passengers on this ship then anything I’ve even seen. We saw people from all over the world, heard more languages, more gay couples and really large people then I’ve even seen in one place before. We were told that there were 6200 passengers onboard and many times we found ourselves in very crowded ...

I really wanted to like RC. I really did. But several things have clinched the fact that I won’t cruise with them again. Firstly, their nickel-and-diming and high prices. ATM fee was a ridiculous 6.50. Alcoholic drinks came out to $15+ after taxes and mandatory gratuity. A soda cost over $4. And let’s not even mention the paid restaurants on board… most are $65 per person for dinner. Come on. It ...

This was a family cruise with my daughter, son in law, and 4 year old granddaughter, who stayed in the adjacent room no. 8 204. It was supposed to have taken place this past December, but my granddaughter test positive for Covid and RCI refunded all of the fare with our any hassle. We chose this cruise because it departs from Brooklyn. We live in Long Island and this was a no-fly cruise. The ...
