We really enjoyed the cruise - first with RC, and the overall experience was very good. The ship had many many show options, and plenty of eating options. It was a sold out cruise based on what we were told, so things got pretty busy from time to time - but I never felt overwhelmed. Our room was roomy enough for us to not feel cramped, but it may have felt a bit tight for elderly. The Royal Promenade was amazing, and the ship truly felt like an island at sea. There were plenty of places to 'disperse' without feeling like you had to be with a million other people. Things were organized, it was nice that you could reserve seats for all the shows, and the food (at least at the scheduled dinners) was simply amazing. We definitely recommend the ship, although the new 'techy' items weren't on the cruise ship yet. Apparently it's going in for refurbishing soon, but it didn't need it in my opinion! Read Less

First off let me say this…if you have a chance to book a cruise on Oasis of the Seas, JUST DO IT! Now that this is out of the way let me talk about one of the most amazing ships at sea today. I would say most amazing, but with Harmony and soon Symphony coming out with just a few more bells and whistles, Oasis still stands as one of the most amazing ships at sea to date. Do you want fine dining? Do you wish to just relax by a pool? Do you want a drink with an umbrella in it? Do you want adventure? Do you want thrills? Do you want to just walk around a park? Do you want to feel like your family can all find exactly what they are looking for? If you answered yes to any of these questions ladies and gentlemen I present to you the Oasis of the Seas. Oasis has more to do on it then any other ships out there (except Harmony and Symphony as stated earlier) do you want to just relax by the pool? There are plenty to choose from. Want adventure? Lets see zip line, flowrider surfing simulators, diving shows, full basketball court, volleyball and even a merry go round. But maybe you want to just dance at a club or sit at a bar and play trivia. Again you are in luck because there are multiple locations to do this in. Royal has finally found a way to justify the price of a cruise by not making the destinations the only important part of a cruise; they turn the ship into a destination of its own! So much so, that you may never want to get off the ship. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is the food, help at guest services, and the fact that the diving show (one of the big reasons we booked this ship) kept being canceled. The food seemed to be cold and just ok at many locations. Even at dinner in the main dining room the food got cold very quickly, like within a couple minutes so eat fast. The other problem I had was with guest services. I purchased the Replenish drink package so I could enjoy my vacation and not worry about a huge bill at the end. Every time I showed my card though, the bartenders would swipe it and then give me my drink and I was good. By the third day I checked and say I had several charges for drinks to my card. I spoke with guest services, they said they removed the charges. I checked another day later and even more charges on my card from drinks. I had to speak again to guest services. By the end of the cruise I still had charges to my account. It got really annoying because it seemed like all the bartenders on the ship had no idea what the RR on my card stood for. The other members of my party just had the soda package and they never had to scan their cards to get a coke. Even if I ordered a coke I still had my card swiped and charged. The diving show was a major reason for booking this ship, and it was canceled every day of the cruise until the very end. I know factors contribute to this but what was frustrating is when the diving show finally did happen on the last day, we tried to get the show for a time that wouldn't interfere with our dinner time in the main dining room and guest services were totally unhelpful with our dilemma and just said if you want to see the show you have to go at this time. So we missed dinner to see the show. And the show was not that great either possibly because it was in the middle of the day, in the hot sun. Other than that though, superb vacation and amazing ship! The Oasis and Allure Class ships are the largest at sea. They are fantastic. You will throw rocks at other ships after trying the Oasis or Allure. Other than boarding you never know there are thousands of people on board. There are so many entertainment and dining options, you never see them all in one place. Finally spent a lot of time in the Adult Only Solarium. Excellent. We were on Oasis the week of Oct 4th, 2017, right after the hurricanes took out St Martin and San Juan. So the itinerary was changed to Nassau, not a favorite, Cozumel, always a favorite and Costa Maya was just OK. Most the Nassau day we spent in the Solarium. There are so many options for entertainment. We love the Comedy Club, Casino (Largest at sea), The Globe and Atlas Pub, Schooners Piano Bar, the High Dive Show on the back off the ship, we never miss The Quest (A Must See for Adults Only) and have loved the Broadway Shows until this one. We had seen Chicago and Momma MIa on Allure. Both Excellent. Oasis had Cats. Many never came back after the intermission. What the heck was that all about? Confusing at least. Love the dining Options. We had a romantic dinner for two at Giovanni’s. Best Steak on the ship. We loved it on Allure, too, 8pm dinning in the main dining room was perfect other than the nights we had shows booked. Excellent selection and service. The best show and dinner on the Oasis and Allure is Izumi’s. If you like Hibachi style food and cooking, Izumi’s is OVER THE TOP! Great food and what a SHOW! Not like you’ve ever seen. Book early. Word must be getting out. They raised the price since we were on the Allure. Finally, a big shoutout to our Designated Bartenders Harry and Vickie at the Globe and Atlas and Steven and Mark at the Casino. Tell them Elvis said Hello. They will know. Read Less

I thought it would be a great idea. The service was very bad. The bathroom was not working according to the front desk they were going to send someone to the room, but they never did. The staff forgot my anniversary and to sit at the dining table and watch other people being song to for their anniversary and being given cake with happy anniversary was a slap in the face. I was told water would be brought to my room, but that never happened. We could not enjoy a slice of pizza without staff members coming up to us asking if we wanted to eat in other dining areas for a small fee (29.00-35.00 each). The food that was served was the same food over and over. Who wants to take a trip and eat the same food that they eat at home????? Roast and rice is served 24-7... My title has nothing to do with language but more about the massiveness of this ship. 6000+ people is too much. So many personal touches and details are lost. Now, the free generic bottles of water which you would find in your refrigerator is eliminated and replaced with a "beverage package". With the bougoi price of the package you would think you'd get bougoi water. Butter is now is those tiny plastic peel off the top packs, no more pretty little rose pats. I could list more but there are more important topics such as service and cleanliness. Service personnel is worked to the bones effecting their demeanor. I encountered moodiness more than a couple of times. We found someone else's allergy medication in our bathroom on one of the shelves and some not-so-out-of-sight areas super dusty. The cloth seats in the dining room appear filthy -riddled with stains, grease and dirt. It ruins the elegance instantly and even after I brought it to their attention, the same exact seats were found the next night. Last, but not least, the ship's itinerary was changed-twice. Once due to a medi-vac so we didn't go to Labadee, and the next due to a hurricane so we didn't go to Cozumel. We were diverted back to Labadee because there was no other port available due to the size of our ship. While no monetary compensation was offered, free internet would've been nice...or something...no? Read Less

Went on this cruise for our 30th wedding anniversary. Royal Caribbean is our favorite line and it has yet to disappoint. This ship is beautiful and has many amenities. The service was wha we have come to expect as well as the room. We were on the 7th floor ocean view balcony room near the elevator- never heard a noise from it!! The only thing we were very disappointed in was the Cruise Director and staff. There is so much to see, do and be involved with on the ship, yet the activities staff seemed to lack the enthusiasm and/or experience on how to entice their guests to join in. They were rarely seen among their guests and informing them when/where the next activity would be. Of course there’s the compass to check as well as the known Royal Carribean activities, but as of the other ships (especially the Freedom with Casey Pelter-which at 2 years later I can still remember his name- that’s the impression he and his team left!). The staff were all quite young and looked mostly like they had that deer in the headlight look, and the Director, who was a little older than them, did not have what it took to carry the team. This was especially important as there were some circumstances beyond anyone’s control, we had extra sea days. We booked onboard again for next year on this ship again, as well as one for ay on another ship. I can only hope that a year is enough time for Royal Carribean to rectify this major flaw. Read Less

My husband and I had an incredible 7 night cruise on Oasis of the Seas! it was just the two of us to celebrate my birthday and anniversary. It was the largest ship we've ever been on. The food was excellent except at the Windjammer on Deck 16. The food was not as tasty as in our main dining room, the American Icon. The service everywhere excellent except for a grumpy lady when we were checking in at the gangway to get on the ship and at the casino. Our stateroom attendant and waiters were wonderful! There are soo many activities to participate in throughout the ship for any age which we loved. All of the various clubs and theaters all had their each unique vibe! The ship offered a variety of music styles at night which was also great for the options. We loved how there were multiple pools and jacuzzis to enjoy and help with crowd control! We will be bringing our family & children on our next Oasis cruise....in just a few months! The dining options, menu and price were even better than I expected. The Windjammer Cafe seemed like it was open 24/7 and that was very handy after spending evenings in the hot tubs then craving a midnight snack. We were pleased to discover a Mexican restaurant on board and it quickly became our favorite...their guacamole is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The Aqua Show and Come Fly With Me shows were simply amazing...we were in constant awe of the strength and flexibility of all members..especially the Arial artists. Falmouth, Jamaica and Labadee, Haiti had gorgeous beaches and water. The locals were warm and inviting. My advice, reapply your sunscreen every 30 minutes instead of every hour. We booked this cruise for my Birthday and I was a little apprehensive, I didn't want to be the youngest there, I wasn't sure how I would feel being stuck on a ship for a week at a time and so on. All I can say is, when we got to the Port and I seen how HUGE the ship was I was in total shock, I just never ever thought the ship would be that big. Once we stepped on to the ship I was in total awe and admiration over it. The reception/lobby area is absolutely gorgeous! The sparkling staircases and all the buzz of everyone finally in holiday mode! I was made up. We purchased a drinks package and it was well worth the money, all the cocktails you wanted you could have! Amazing. I actually felt like I was on a really luxury holiday and I couldn't believe it! Staff - polite and professional. I was really sick with sea sickness the first two days, no fault of the ship at all but the sea was quite choppy then. The staff were so helpful letting me know whats best to eat, drink, take to help the sea sickness calm down. Our room attendant was called Ethan I think, we were Deck 14. He was so sweet and never passed us without asking how I was feeling and how the holiday was going! Amazing service. Even the staff in the bars were fantastic always keeping your drink topped up and even doing tricks! There was a guy in the bar in central park and he had us cracked up for hours each and every day!! Best bunch of people work on this ship!! Cabin - Spotlessly clean and spacious. The only thing I didn't really like was there was no iron in the room and if you needed to iron clothes, it was at a cost. Entertainment & Activities - Fantastic entertainment was on board. We didn't get a chance to go and see/do everything even though we were there for a week. Ice-skating, water shows, ice shows, golf, games room, flow rider, zipline I mean come on !! this ship had something for everybody. Dining - Food was spectacular!! Absolutely amazing, I would recommend going to the restaurant for breakfast for a fancy eggs Florentine. Amazing. The formal night was like steak and lobster - the food is seriously amazing! even grabbing a slice of pizza on your way to bed was something I looked forward to, thanks for the 10 lb extra though Oasis haha! Ports - please people if you are going to Jamaica and want to chill on a beach go to margaritaville!! it is amazing, the staff are such good fun and they help you have the best time everrrr!! I cant wait to go back already! If you contemplating this ship just go and book it! It is a fab ship with lots to do! You will never ever get bored. If you don't book this ship, you will regret it! We were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and looking forward to visiting the islands. We requested a salt free diet and always on RCL we meet with the Head Waiter each night prior to dinner to go over the menu and select meals that can be made without salt. However, on Oasis of the Seas, this task is left to the waiter - unfortunately, our waiter was clueless on which foods come naturally with salt - and every evening was unable to remember what our table guests had ordered. On more than one occasion he served my husband food laden with salt. The Head Waiter apologized, but it was too little too late. My husband suffered fluid build up around his lungs and had trouble breathing. After two days of slowly getting worse - even though we stopped going to the dining room - he went to the doctor and was placed din the hospital's ward for most of the day - the doctor treated him for the fluid and did manage to reduce the swelling and eased his breathing. We lost 3 days of our celebration cruise - spent it in the cabin - horrendous. We did receive a note of apology from the Head Waiter acknowledging the mistake. We received a bill for $1,200 from the doctor. I requested a meeting with the Officer in charge of food and beverage as well as guest services. On the last day of the cruise I was invited to address my concern. The F&B Manager had spoken with the Head Waiter who indicated that my husband had been served the correct food and that only on one occasion was there a "mistake". I produced the card of apology and then the F&B Manager asked why I waited 3 days to go to the doctor and pointed out that I signed a form saying that I would pay for medical services. This added insult to injury - I did notice that not one of the other three Officers made any comments - not sure why, but if I had been an Officer and listened to the F&B Manager, I would have been most disturbed that he tried to cover up the problem and put the onus on my husband. This is no indication of the excellent dining room service afforded us on all other RCL ships - we are Diamond members and have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Head Waiters - who do know which foods can accommodate sodium free diets - and who do have knowledgeable waiters. The F&B Manager said that as a "courtesy" to me being a loyal Diamond member, he would refund the $1,200. I did not consider this a "courtesy" at all - and was furious when I left the meeting. Needless to say, our 50th Wedding Anniversary was one we will never forget - I've seen more than enough of our cabin on Oasis of the Seas to last me a lifetime. If you do have need of a special diet - do not tolerate inefficient and incompetent waiters - make sure you ONLY meet with the Head Waiter each night to review dinner for the following evening. Make sure he or she understands which foods have natural salt - ask questions - reconfirm every night that each item you are served contains no foods like ham, etc. If you know that you have not been served salt free items, report it to the Food and Beverage Manager and insist that you are moved to another table. Our table guests were all Diamond and Diamond Plus members - and each one of them had problems with incorrect meals. It is a shame that the waiter - who claimed to have 17 years under his belt - is allowed to risk the lives of RCL's guests. For the first 3 days, we enjoyed all the amenities of the Oasis of the Seas - although the ports of call were changed, we have cruised them many times, so were not too upset that we went to Mexico instead of St. Martin and San Juan (due to Hurricane Irma). We found the entertainment superb - although we only managed to see "Cats" (a production that surpasses Broadway) and the diving show - having over 6,000 passengers it was amazing that the shows were not crowded. Our cabin was wonderful - bed was extremely comfortable and entire cabin was cleaned each day by a steward that we rarely managed to see. Being in the center of the ship was also a plus (we had booked this cruise the previous year while on board another Royal Caribbean cruise and the representative chose the cabin for us) It was delightful to relax around the ship during the day. There were always enough lounge chairs around the pools and spas - and the solarium was a great place to relax sans children!!!! Having a merry-go-round and outdoor fun interactive giant busses, boats, etc., for the children to have fun was great for grandparents who brought their grandchildren - add ice skating and the water park was enough to keep children happy throughout the day. Although we were not able to enjoy more than a few days on the ship, we will continue cruising with Royal Caribbean - but will make absolutely sure on the next occasion that we meet initially with the Head Waiter, the Chef, the Food and Beverage Manager - and the Waiter (making sure the waiter is equipped to handle passengers with special needs). In addition, I would suggest that if you are going to eat from the buffet, you also speak personally with the chef so that your food can be specially prepared. Read Less

We chose this trip, this ship and this week, to celebrate my 60th birthday. WHAT A TREAT!! While the itinerary changed due to the tragedies in the Caribbean, this ship was wonderful and we had a great time! I had read reviews that it was "too big" or too many people or this concern or that, but we loved this ship and the crew! We have already booked another cruise, for January after next, so we can cruise with the Oasis again! This ship is like a floating city, with something for everybody and we can't wait to get back on this wonderful ship. The ship is big enough to "get away from" the crowds, and we found some nice places to relax and have our quiet bible study time. The pool area was more quiet than on the smaller ships (no movie blasting on the big screen, or the activities around the pool, complete with loud microphone) and we found nice lounge chair seating, out of the sun to relax. The solarium is very nice, but we enjoyed it in the evening, after the sun went down, as there is not a lot of "shaded" places and we prefer not to sit in the sun. The food on this ship was the BEST we have had on any of the RCI ships and we enjoyed all the dining options. The wait staff in the dining room were very good and we dined there every night. There are SO many places to eat (without any additional charge) you can try something every day and that is such a nice departure from the Windjammer. (The Windjammer was really good, but it is nice to have a lot of different options you don't get on the smaller ships. ) The entertainment was spectacular and we enjoyed a different show each night. The skaters and divers were really impressive. While there are around 6K guests onboard, this ship is so well organized, that all runs very smoothly and we were quite impressed! We disembarked from the ship in an orderly and timely manner. We were in our car, and driving home, at 7am. We will look forward to cruising on this ship as often as we are able. Thanks to all for a very memorable birthday trip. Read Less

My wife and I and another couple who have never cruised before had the time of our cruising life. It's nothing like seeing cruise virgins being in awe. Their first time cruising not only with the best cruise line but on one of their best ships. This was our first time on the Oasis of the Seas but not our first time on an Oasis class ship. 3 years ago we cruised on the Allure and had a great time. So to answer one of your questions (smile) which is the better ship? They both were great and we had a great time on both. Cruising is what you make it you're on vacation and you should have fun!! Embarkation was smooth we had a Jr. Suite room 10636 which is an excellent cabin. It's right next to the owner suite and you have a bigger balcony so if you ever decide to do a Jr. suite on the Oasis I recommend this cabin. We sail through the embarkation but our friends had to wait since this was their first time but it was only about 20 minutes. Once that was complete we took our going on board pictures and in less that 5 minutes we were on the ship. The awe that was on their face PRICELESS!! (smile). When you enter the ship you enter on Deck 5 which is the promenade deck where you have Sorrento's the pizza parlor and the Promenade Cafe where you can get your specialty coffee's and tea and little finger sandwiches which comes in handy late at night after the shows (smile). Our Jr. Suite was huge and we had an excellent stateroom attendant Deni who took great care of us for the week. There are some who don't believe in tipping before the cruise start but I'm a firm believer is you tip them well on the first day there's nothing that you won't be able to request and not get it unless they absolutely can't do it. I got to know Deni and asked what kind of candy he likes and at the port's I made it my business to stop in and bring him back some of his favorite treats. I just think it's nice to be nice because they work so hard to make sure your vacation is the best. The suite has a huge balcony and a huge walk-in closet and a huge bathroom with a tub. We usually go for the large interior rooms but since it was just the wife and I we decided to do something different plus after this cruise we will be Diamond!! (smile). Can't say enough good things about the room and I'm sure the next time it's just the wife and I we will be trying for this room again. The entertainment well, everything was good except Cats the production. We really was looking forward to seeing Cats cause on the Allure we saw Chicago and it was excellent!! But Cats was not good at all and at intermission about an hour and 10 minutes into the show I would say about 95% of the audience got up and did not return. I felt bad for the actors but like they say the show must go on!! Outside of Cats everything else was great. The 2 comedians was very, very, funny. The Ice show Frozen in time was great and their special guest was great as well don't want to spoil it for you so i'm not going to say what or who it was and what they were doing. The Royal Caribbean production show was great Come Fly with Me, I recommend going to all the shows even Cats you just might like it and it you don't you don't have to stay the whole time (smile). We visited 3 ports which originally was not our itinerary, due to hurricanes Irma and Maria we did not got to St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and Labadee, Haiti instead we went to Nassau, Bahamas and Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico. Place the wife and I have been but not our friends so we did the port shopping tour which I highly recommend going to port shopping talk with Rocky and Ericka. They give away great prizes and they also fill you in on where to shop to get the best deals. Because of these two ladies I have purchase 2 Phillip Stein watches and they're great!! No taxes and no duty charge you can't beat that. In Nassau we went to Fish Fry which is on the other end of Paradise Island for some bahamian food. We had Cracked Conch (Fried, LOL) with some Peas and Rice and Plantains and some good tea from Frankie's restaurant which I highly recommend. You might be asking why buy food off the ship when you can eat all you want on the ship, well you're on vacation and you want to try something different plus we've been there before and we love bahamian food so give it a shot if you're ever in Nassau. Ok, I know this is long so finally the food. YUMMY!! Our servers were Gerson and Kumar at table 434 1st seating and the Head Waiter Rasheda Hines took very very good care of us for the week. Outstanding service from day 1 to 7 even though one night we ate in the windjammer cause they had caribbean night up there and they served Oxtails and Pea's and Rice and Plantains and Jerk Chicken. Now if you've never had Oxtails you have to find out what night is caribbean night in the windjammer and go and try them, simply delicious. On the first sea day we had lunch in the main dining room and they had a shrimp risotto and a smoke potato soup with bacon and it was so, so good!! So at dinner that night I mention to our waiter Gerson and our Head Waiter Rasheda about how good the shrimp risotto was that on the last night at dinner we order our dinner and she brought two bowls of the shrimp risotto. She had the chef to specially make them for us!! How can you not love this kind of service!! Debarkation was smooth 1 little tip if you grab a porter you don't have to stand in the long lines for custom. I know you will have to tip them but it only took us 20-30 minutes top to get our luggage go through customs and in our car heading home by 8:45 am. Once again thank you Royal Caribbean for making my vacation experience EXCELLENT!! I'm already booked for 2 more sailings with Royal Caribbean and I CAN'T WAIT!! I hope this has help someone in making their decision about cruising on the Oasis of the Seas. Read Less

We traveled with the family, with the children and grandchildren. The place was lovely, the food was fine, the waiters who were with us at the dining table at the restaurant on the fourth floor were wonderful, taking care of everything we wanted. The staff member who worked in the room we lived in was charming. The room was always neat and clean. I loved the possibility of ordering coffee in the morning to the room, I liked to have coffee in the morning and drink it on the terrace in the early morning. I loved it especially because I got up early in the morning and it was nice to sit on the balcony and have coffee. The prices of the drinks are very high and the price is still added. This is a problem when you want to drink every evening or order a glass of wine at a meal. You have to lower the prices of drinking. Read Less

Our Mother had been on the cruise before and raved, She came with us, We were Very impressed with everything. We have sailed with you before, but on smaller ships. We thought with more guests that waits would be longer. This was NOT the case, We waited less, had No lines. Everything was thought out perfectly !!!! The dinning options were great. We like to eat breakfast and lunch in the dinning room as an option. We liked that you could be served or have buffet. We liked that buffet was not only in the Windjammer. Our waitstaff in the dinning room was the Best we have ever had on Any cruise, we have been on other company ships. Lets talk entertainment...WOW. We figured it out if we were to purchase the tickets to see the shows we did, that would be more than half of our total cruise price. The Boardwalk, Central Park, main shopping areas, you forgot you were on a ship, Just Amazing !!! Since we have been home we have Raved to everyone we have come in contact with. I have only 1 issue...our dinning was on the 4th floor next to the casino...I have asthma , that being said, the smoke coming from the casino going to and from dinner is Bad. I have no issue with smokers, but doors or a different area in the inside the casino that may not spill out into the hallway. We can't wait to return :) Read Less

We have previously cruised on the big girls and it has become our ship of choice. So many venues and things to do that keep us busy from morning to night. This cruise was a surprise for DW as we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and it all went off without a hitch even though Irma tried her best to mess things up. Two days before the cruise I mentioned the upcoming event and boy was she surprised. I had also booked the Owner's Suite for the first time which she found out as we slid the sea pass card in the door. I let her ring the doorbell to see if anyone else was there :). Wow......what a cabin. We were both awed by the size and the storage available not to mention the huge balcony. Then the knocks on the door brought assorted goodies each day to help us somehow manage the downtimes between feedings. There were 3 other couples that we cruised with so our cabin was the place to hangout for Mexican Train and Sequence games. I had ordered the Anniversary package which included beautiful decorations for the cabin and also a delicious cake which was shared by all on numerous days. Dining was in the MDR for dinner, Coastal Kitchen for breakfast and wherever for lunch. Excellent service in MDR and all entrees were delicious and plentiful. Because we were suite guests our table of 8 had extra roll baskets and sliced fruit and melon dishes each night. Coastal Kitchen breakfast's were delicious and relaxing with great service and a wide variety of options. French toast was outstanding. A buffet setup was available also if you wanted with muffins, donuts, danish and fresh fruit available. We chose to skip that and just have our choices served. This venue also hosts the Suite Lounge but we chose to use the Diamond Lounge for our evening drinks so we could join friends.......Weather was beautiful and seas were calm for the 7 days. We only got off the ship in Labadee to enjoy the beach and suite buffet. Other ports we stayed aboard and relaxed in the hot tub and played games.........Embarkation and disembarkation were smooth and easy. Especially disembarkation now that they eased up on the Custom's security checks on the way out. We were off the ship and thru customs in 10 mins. tops........I honestly couldn't have asked for a better anniversary cruise and the suite life is the way to go. In fact after we got back we changed our booking on the Harmony in May from a balcony to a GS. We don't need the Star class options but did really enjoy the Sky class options. Now if I were only richer..........Skip & Sue Read Less

This was our 51st cruise and finally sailed on one of the mammoths, Oasis of the Seas. Though we worried it might be too big for us, or feel like a shopping mall, there was nothing to worry about. We had a Jr. Suite on Deck 11, very near the Diamond Club. Loved the junior suite with walk-in closet and oversized balcony and the proximity of our cabin to the elevators and the Diamond Club. This is one of the best Diamond Clubs we experienced. Two stories and lots of seating. Free drinks from 4:30 to 8:00 every day for Diamond and above members of Crown & Anchor Society. The view is of the aft of the ship and you can see the diving pool and the ocean from here. The shows were fantastic, other than CATS. We loved the diving show and the ice show, as well as Come Fly with Me. Easily this was the best entertainment of any cruise we have been on. We gave CATS a try, but left after 30 minutes. The show is just too long for a cruise ship. There were a ton of activities. Some of our favorites were the Prohibition Party (extra charge), the 70s Disco Party and the live music throughout the ship. And don't forget the ziplining, rock climbing wall and flow riders. Lots of things to see and do on the Oasis. We passed on the Thermal Suite this cruise. Instead of having an ocean view, the four heated loungers had a view of a wooden wall. I didn't come to the Caribbean to look at a wall. This was really the only big mistake we found on the Oasis. Ports were fine, though this cruise was all about the ship for us. In Labadee, we did the Kayak Adventure, and I recommend it. In Falmouth, Jamaica, we walked downtown and found a great jerk restaurant. In Cozumel, we visited Paradise Beach and once again had the Ultimate Nachos Volcano, which we highly recommend. The Captain is very personable and promised us a week of great weather. He delivered, successfully dodging Hurricane Maria. We were very glad to finally experience the Oasis class, and will be back again soon. Read Less

My wife and I have never sailed Oasis but sailed on Allure in the past. First time from Port Canaveral. My wife was nervous with the influx of hurricanes hitting FLA. We flew in a day before sailing, stayed at the Embassy Suites, found the Florida Beer company across the street. That broke the ice and eased any apprehension. We sailed Oasis on Sunday and loved it so much we sailed BTB the following week as well. and in speaking with Captain Per. He reassured us by saying that the best vacation is on a Cruise ship because a ship can out-maneuver a major weather event. If you at a Resort, not so much, you can't enjoy your vacation.. Embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze. Suite and Concierge service (thanks Lyli and Fedirico) is second to none. Coastal Kitchen lunches were awesome. Windjammer buffet has lots of something for everyone! Dining Room service is awesome and impeccable. We took the galley tour. Awesome, Oasis serving 60,000 plated meals per day. WOW! I played hoops and volleyball everyday. My wide and I walked the stairs every day and logged Fitbit 300 stairs per week. Activities were awesome. And when we got home, our weight had not changed. Personal Service provided all-over the ship is great.. Spa services were lots of fun. Labidee beach and barbeque is a must. Nassau was a last minute switch, great choice! The only negative of the whole trip, my wife stubbed her toe in the middle of the night. We made a trip to the Infirmary. Xrays, Orthopedic doctor evaluation, and no charge. Poor night light, which was fixed the next day. PS. The toe had a bad bruise (all colors) but not broken. We got daily phone calls to check on her status. We are RCCL enthusiasts and we booked another BTB on the Harmony of the Seas in May 2018! Read Less

We scheduled this cruise to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. We enjoyed Specialty dining at 150 Central Park and Chops. The menu at Chops has changed since my last visit and in my opinion it has improved. My wife had the filet and I enjoyed the rib eye. Both were excellent. The cruise was immediately after Hurricane Irma so it was shortened to 4 days and less than 3000 people were on board. The lack of crowds was fantastic. The service everywhere we went was superb and the waiters extremely cordial. Embarkation was easy and stress free. No elevator crunch, do to the low passenger count. Reservations were no problem for anything we wanted to do or see. Disembarkation, using the self assist program, took literally 10 minutes, the length of time it took to walk from the ship to the parking lot. The Captain and crew did a wonderful job making our shortened cruise one of the best ever. Read Less

My husband booked this cruise for me for my 70th Birthday. My 7 day cruise was shortened to 4 days due to Hurricane Irma. After surviving the Eye of the Hurricane in the Villages, Florida, with damage only to a downed Oleander bush and Palms and a yard full of Oak leaves and branches from my 2 Oak trees. We cleaned the yard and bagged the debris and then on Wednesday the 13th of September ( my Birthday), we drove to Port Canaveral in record time with light traffic. At the port , embarking was easy and quick. At 1 PM are room was ready and our suitcases were at our door. We made reservations for dinner at 150 Central Park for my birthday dinner. Dinner was suburb! Our waiter sang Happy Birthday and gave me Cheesecake with a lighted candle. Such a special Birthday that I will never forget the year Irma tried to take my cruise away-but thankfully failed. We did in four days, everything we wanted to do in 7 days. We played miniature golf, sat in the whirlpool with another lovely couple we just met-relaxing and fun! Dinner at Chops and enjoyed the new menu. Our other two nights at the dining room. One of those nights was Lobster night and I savored my 2 Lobsters. We went to the Comedy Club and had fun interacting with the comedian about being the longest married couple in the room- 49 years. I never laughed so hard! I lost money in the casino, but didn't care because I was on the most perfect cruise of my life so far. Now I am anxiously waiting to return to the Oasis on the Oasis the end of October for my husbands 71st Birthday cruise. Disco Lady Read Less

Overall, this was a great get-away vacation. Royal Caribbean made it all possible in every way--from fun, to relaxing, to indulging in good food in the various restaurants, including the Wind Jammer! We were enlightened by the various shows, and events, as well as by all the other activities. There was something to do for everyone and every age group or lifestyle. One could hardly get bored. Onboard shopping was also a great feature. The various ports were a real enhancement to the cruise itinerary. I did not participate in the shore excursion on this cruise, however-- partly because most of the ones I wanted were a little pricey. But that did not interfere with my engaging in other activities and having a great time. The Restaurant Staff were superb in waiting on customers, making sure tables were cleaned after each use, and of course refilling empty food containers on the food stations. The Captain was very informative and very careful in navigating the ship over the seas. He kept us informed of the status of Hurricane Irma and carefully redirected us away from the path of the hurricane. I never felt more comfortable. He earned an A+++++ for his efforts. I thank God and the Captain from the great work! I highly recommend Oasis of the Seas. Keep up the fantastic work. Great Way To Go, Royal Caribbean International. See you again soon! Read Less

My husband and I embarked on what ended up being a 10 day Western Caribbean cruise on Oasis of the Seas. We sailed before Hurricane Irma was projected to be on our path, so we had no idea what was coming. The ports were all OK, I couldn't do much because I am 5 months pregnant so we just walked around and chilled on the beach a little bit. In Cozumel we took a 35 minute boat ride to Playa del Carmen which was well worth it, the beach there is beautiful. Around the 3rd day of our cruise Hurricane Irma became a threat to the Caribbean and the Captain announced that although it was not going to affect our Western Caribbean itinerary, it was going to be in our path upon our return to Port Canaveral, so they were delaying our return to Tuesday (2 days). A lot of us had homes and families in Florida so we were worried, but Royal Caribbean always put our safety first and Captain Per was extremely informative, giving us updates as soon as he had them. A couple of days later they realized Port Canaveral would still be closed on Tuesday due to a direct hit by the hurricane, so they delayed the return another day. They made arrangements for us to spend an extra day in Cozumel and a day in Costa Maya (not in the original itinerary) so that we wouldn't have to sit at sea for 3 or 4 days waiting for the hurricane to pass through. All of this was at no cost to cruisers. Food: We tried to diversity our dining experience and eat at different venues. The food in the main dining room was really sub par.... we did not enjoy it much except for the formal night that had lobster. Desserts were very tasteless as was the food. We tried the Windjammer as well which had more selections but the taste and quality of the food was also not very desirable. So we considered specialty dining, something we had never done before. They offered a 50% discount on specialty dining on the extra sailing days and that was a huge motivator of our decision as well. Sabor was excellent and the food portions are huge, we even came back another day during lunch just for the chips, salsa and guacamole. We had lunch at Giovanni's Table on the last day and it was also great. But the best dining experience we had on board was dinner at Chops Grille. It was really one of the top dining experiences we have had EVER as a couple. The food was absolutely delicious - my husband had the filet mignon and I had the spicy garlic shrimp. The desserts were to DIE FOR. And service was also top notch - we will always dine at Chops Grille wherever available. Entertainment: We enjoyed all of the shows except for CATS, but I'm not much of a theater person anyway. The Headliner Show with El Gaucho was magnificent, we laughed so hard! The Love and Marriage Game is always a must in Royal Caribbean as well. Our cabin was a ocean view balcony on Deck 6 and we never had any issues with noise. It was close to mid ship so convenient to getting around the ship. This was our first experience onboard an Oasis Class Ship and we had a wonderful time. Already planning on taking our kids with us next year for some quality family time. Overall a great experience - despite the hurricane madness! Read Less
